My day trip to Eriskay with Nancy.
About the tune:
The tune was composed for the 90th birthday of Mairi Mholl MacLean.
My late mother in-law was a Maclean and always said all her organs may go but the Maclean heart would beat on relentlessly.
When composing the tune my wife said, ''It better have a good beat then''
Thus, I gave it a 2/4 March tempo.
I always loved a slow Strathspey.

A magic tune my father used to sing when he was vary drunk. In Gaelic, he would say, ''I'm going home'' we would then tell him he was already home. But of coarse he meant back to his island. Duncan Nicholson and myself put this together a wee while back. I did intend to add the Barra choir on the final chorus, but never got round to asking them. Who knows, maybe someday.

Mick please show us how Glittering Prize has to be played on your keyboard. Too many performers make sequence tone mistakes....
It's quite easy really.
@@mickmacneil1only the one who created it can play it right. Too many keyboardist make mistakes on the sequence and miss many notes. Would be fine to hear it now as it should be played after more than 40 years. Catwalk would be another example. Too many use Oberhein bank sound but totally miss the timing and the right sequence as it should be.

Hello Mick, keep these great videos coming! In November 1986 I was walking through a public park in Christchurch, New Zealand where I saw you sitting on a bench, just chilling out,. Being 18 years old I found the courage and walked up and we had a 5 minute chat. I remember it well to this day. We then took a photo, and you kindly signed an autograph. You were a super nice guy to the fans. Thanks for the music, especially the performances you are doing of some of your songs on this channel I just found.
