i, a neurodivergent trans woman, was emotionally abused by my older brother and sister-in-law at the lowest, most vulnerable point in my entire life. i could barely receive a knock on my bedroom door, a text on my phone, or a phone call, without almost having a panic attack, thinking it was them. to this day, i have flashbacks or bouts where i can't stop thinking about the things they said or did, and i recall much of it so very vividly. they repeatedly lectured and berated me, and forced me to do things i did not want to or could not do, whether by emotional manipulation, threats to the roof over my head, or threats to 'take away' my access to utilities, even going as far as changing the wifi password, which is especially abusive, seeing as my biggest support group is my friends online, and my two partners, who all live in different parts of the world. during that time of my life, i was having mental breakdowns almost weekly, in comparison to my usual of maybe a few times a year, or maybe once a month at most. as i write this, i'm trying to drag my thoughts away from everything that happened then, so i can try to get back to sleep before i have to get up in a few hours to go do something important. i turned 22 a little over a month ago, and i have to live with these experiences for the rest of my life....

This means a lot to me because I’m a combat sports athletic and I had a bad opponent that punched me with kidney shots (which are illegal) repeatedly and now I have chronic kidney pain so bad it makes me cry. I’ll get better but it takes a while for the kidneys to recover from blunt force trauma. Thanks again.

Thank you for this. Late to the party but I only recently had a situation to look for this. I've had generalized osteoarthritis for over 15 years. The pain was controlled through high dose NSAIDs. Six months ago, I was diagnosed with silent afib and had to be hospitalized to prevent the possibility of a blood clot killing me. The blood thinners they had to give me to prevent blood clots meant I could no longer take the NSAIDs so they took me off them. Within a week, every joint in my body felt like it is on fire and the pain only increased over the next five months. Having untreated osteoarthritis is kind of the perfect storm of pain. The arthritis inflamation causes pain, the pain causes the body to dump cortisol which causes more inflammation. Rinse and repeat. A couple of days ago, I had reached my pain limit, I didn't know what was going to happen. Then I found this video and I was able to really sleep for the first time in weeks and it prevented me from losing my mind.

I will say this with all my heart. My heart needed this. Suicide idealization is a really bad addiction of mine. So, to hear how gentle this was? That really healed me a bit. For years, I've had to be tough, but I really just want to be held and told everything that was said in this video. It's come to a point, where I have trauma about sharing my issues, so my body does everything it can to stop me from doing so. The gentle feel this had, is everything. It's so beautiful and it made me feel happy. So thank you! Thank you for making this video, and thank you for being an amazing human being. But also remember to care for yourself as well!
