I know this is an old audio but I still wanted to comment. The whole "even if I cheat I wouldn’t lie" is a little eh you’re already a liar if you’re cheater. Cheating is probably the one thing that is irredeemable to me personally. I could understand if this is early stages of a relationship but even after 3-4 months at least me personally I would have already given my significant other access to my phone that’s not all that much to ask(is it?). Even if your partner is a busy person anything that could be a potential issue should be discussed or at least mentioned so one of us doesn’t get randomly told by other friends that your partner was out with someone you’ve never heard/seen before but also after being told this news the listener should have addressed this issue and had a discussion and asked for proof. it was just a theoretical and of course everyone has different feelings and boundaries. From my point of view, if I go as far as to hurt the one I love by cheating, I can't hurt them further by lying about it. Looking for red flags and doing your own due diligence. Trust can come later and the relationship will be better for it every time when you know your person is genuine based on your own findings. But yes, a well established relationship should have that communication. But I'd rather have all the facts before I present anything to my gf. If I know for sure she's cheating, I'm ghosting.
