This clip IS the reason why I'm a Red Sox fan, and why Yaz and Dewey are my ALL-TIME FAVORITE Red Sox players. I haven't had the opportunity to purchase and read Dewey's book, that he co-authored with Erik Sherman, DEWEY, BEHIND THE GOLD GLOVE, but I watched the stream on the Hall of Fame's Facebook page a few weeks ago, and Dewey spoke about his friendship with Yaz, and how he "held out" until Yaz agreed to write the forward for the book. It's that unshakeable bond that is the reason they inspired me throughout their careers, and continue to inspire me, today. EMH Albany, NY 🥲❤️❤️🙏🏻❤️❤️⚾️😇 ❤️❤️#8 and #24!

No two line passes anymore probably the biggest change to the game in my life time. And nobody,,,and I mean nobody would go in a corner with head down against the boards. Now everyone does. Cross check someone across back and you’d get one in the teeth. Poor fellas need body armour on their backs now. The game is played with less honour.
