Must have missed it. What is the Feud about?
Nice playing and tone!
All these "positive" guys are the most negative of the lot. If everyone is different what is wrong with someone standing up and making the case that all the hype around these bursts is a pack of lies. Buddy, liars lie, they don't tell the truth. Your "inspiration" can be false. It's not "all about" the truth when people are being hard sold a bill of goods.
There is no feud, it's just classic Dunning-Kruger. Buk made his point and moved on, the other dude has a mental illness...
Voxyu just said the 58,59 and 60 is not the best guitar ever made. Tom started the insults.
No, Voxyu insulted Jason Isbell first before Tom got involved. Both are responsible for the childish behavior. Voxyu is the only one giving false information.
It appears you are a friend or a fan boy. Like I said you both have thin skin
The dude is just mad that he can't afford one😢
I’m full of love and gratitude, having come from humble means and never having thought I would be able to perform, travel, make a living playing music, and own several very nice instruments. By no means a millionaire. But you can BET that if I had $1M in disposable income to burn (after my family’s stability/future, charity, etc)…I would most definitely throw it at an incredible vintage instrument overpriced or not,or some dope watches and a car or two 😂. No need for folks below that income level to throw shade.
You are totally right but I am watching that car wreck everyday on my way to home school.
Intentions good or bad, please stop fueling the fire. We have enough of that going around LA right now anyway.
Great video and you are correct about being inspired!
Guitar in the '60s : Jimi Hendrix Guitar in 2025: professional wrestling
A guitar is just a tool for making music. Speaking of Squier guitars...Jack Pearson. Look him up if you don't know who he is.
I never had a Les Paul guitar after playing for twenty years i purchased a masterbuilt 1959 LP on ebay that was masterbuilt with all the certificates etc and another reason why i’ll never buy another guitar without playing first. It did t have the 60s thinner neck it had a baseball bat super fat neck and i have big hands and still couldn’t manage it. Everything was cool about it glued in tenon neck orange drop capacitors etc bit in the end just could t manage the neck size.
This guy aint farming but went farming, Lol, just like everyone else, Lol, if you wasnt farming you would have said Zero on the subject, Lol, everyones farming this issue, Lol, some of us are trying to help that 13 year old kid understatnd you dont need a new 3000 dollar gibson a 500 dollar guitar will more then work, Lol,
Agreed he is doing the same thing in a nice way!
@@jittboy1 Lol, hey man, whats up?
@@jittboy1 Hell I farmed it cus I want atleast 7 subs, LMAO.
@ bahaha yeah it came right up in my feed, no mention of Me. your spot on! Why speak about a feud if you want no negativity you just invited it ! Oh my, this is so way out of hand it is like a carnie ride Tom took my comment off Gus page after I question his guitar authentication to see his appraisal papers for Insurance lol now I get sent a video he claimed to stated he owned over a million teles in his lifetime? Oh my new world’s record!
@@jittboy1 Yep, Lol, this is turning into some big guitar drama but I think its all good, more people are getting to know each other for sure in the guitar community.
Gibson guys never say even though the headstock breaks its gods gift of guitar, LMAO.
The point is the subscriber count went way up for both guitar channels, Lol, I subbed with them cus Bukovac is a prick, he chases people down then wonders why they come after him. Lol, But lets get real gibson guys try to say theres something wizardly about a gibson and thats commercial for selling gibsons, Lol,
Opinions are like assholes everyone’s got one. Also that dude is probably really sad inside and a little cra cra. UNCLE LARRY FOREVER !
I seen the video of Jason talking about Buying "RED EYE" and i was really happy for him! Why? Because i understand how it would feel to be able to buy a dream guitar like that! It is more than Obvious he really loves the guitar because he explains what he had to sacrifice just to buy the guitar! I do NOT understand those that talk trash about another just because they bought a piece of gear??? Like frank zappa used to say "Shut up and play yer guitar!"
Right on, Justin. The best guitar for you is the guitar you like the best. Value is a loaded term, right? There’s the orthodoxy, which is that value is assigned by comparable sales of similar items in the recent past. Then the subjective value, which is necessarily different depending upon the individual. Internet traffic is driven by an algorithm pushing one towards 5% of the most extreme arguments on any subject - That’s “engagement,” it’s how Social Media companies make $$, and it always works. The trolls are a necessary byproduct and these companies all want them out there to get people clicking away, profiling those clicks to serve them news, ads, videos etc. Best thing to do is ignore them completely. Who cares? An hour spent pushing negative information or commenting online is an hour away from playing music. I’d rather be making music. I’ve been playing since I was 7yo in the 1970’s, and gravitated to “vintage” instruments because they were almost universally easier to play, better made, lighter and less expensive than “new” guitars from Norlin/CBS/Baldwin. Nowadays we have a choice, it’s possible to get wonderful instruments for a few hundred bucks, and if you have 6-7 figures to spend you can still get those classic instruments from the 1940’s-1960’s. I don’t judge anyone by what they play or paid. I judge them by the enjoyment they get from their instruments. That’s my idea of value - The joy you get from your favorite instruments.
Well said. A lot of people farming negativity online and it sticks to people when they go into their days. Not good.
Water in tone pots
Some of what you say is true but I think the guy is actually doing a public service by dispelling the myth that just because a guitar is of a certain era it is magic or should cost the price of a house. The re is a certain douche baggery that propels these myths like the cork sniffing snob club who perpetuate elitism. Todays re-issues ( even last 30 years) are great at replicating the vintage sound if that’s what your after. Most times guitarists are chasing a tone that was made on a record which is very challenging. It’s fun to see pretentious douche bags squirm once in a while too.
I don't think the average mature and intelligent guitar player lacks the common sense to know that the burst prices are out of control and the whole thing is just a pile of bullshit. You just need a triple digit IQ to know that the value of those guitars is 90% (give or take) as collectors. We don't need people on social media telling us the obvious. As was stated in this video it's all just a bunch of fucking negativity and it's very tiring and annoying. And it gets in the way of the positivity of being a guitar player and sharing your experience and information online.
Think I'll visit Tom's channel and see what tasty nuggets are there to be enjoyed this morning........... Any of you guys check out or get his and Guthrie's album In Stereo? Man that is fantastic.
Jason is the first guy to start some shit talking, so don't make him out to be a saint
I always wanted to get a Les Paul Jr. but i hate the fat 59 baseball bat neck. I prefer the 60's slim taper like on my Les Paul special. I found a Harley Benton Jr. that is a great guitar. For being a super low price you would think it would be a junk guitar. Not at all, this giutar is solid as a Les Paul and very good quality. Hail to Harley Benton, and forget those drastically over priced Gibsons!!
man this gets old, like a lot of the playing i hear
You tube guitar channels now are like listening to crazy people in the same conversation over and over again.
I'm now 60 years old and I started playing guitar when I was 9 years old. In recent times I realized I needed to start giving my opinion of the nonsense going on. Time has crept up on me and I realize now that I'm the older guy with a lot more wisdom and experienced than some of you younger folks - who I respect to the extreme for your amazing abilities as players and everything that you do from playing, to creating the GOOD social media content and so on. The truth is, social media has the potential to do serious damage to music, as well as do good. The number one thing is, many young players spend far too much time on social media and they need to shut it all off and get back into their art. Sit down with their instruments, play, write, collaborate in person with other musicians and record and do all those things that people were doing in the 70s and 60s and 50s before all of this goddamn social media nonsense even existed. If we can convince younger generations to turn their fucking phones off and play guitar we will all be much better for it.
Be careful Justin , you may be a target now
All you need is love. And a few cool guitars. Don't be jealous.
Really well said. I think some of the envy is driven by a sense of entitlement that some younger people have and this is partly driven by hard advertising. When I was young in the 70’s the British guitar magazines had hardly any adverts and were all about playing. You have maturity beyond your years and take the traditional approach of working hard and saving up for equipment that you want and this has obviously been rewarding in many ways. Best wishes from Uk.
Zappa: "shut up and play yer guitar". Rest in peace Frank.
🤣 I thought of the very same thing!👍
Must have missed it. What is the Feud about?
Maby watch everything from the beginning before making a video about your opinion. Tom started with the insults. Also no guitar is worth 600k or more! Common sense
I think at this point there's no disputing the fact that the bursts are not worth the actual dollar amount. That's not the point. They've gone from being guitars to collectors legends. Something mythical and Beyond sense. Kind of like bitcoin. I bought my first Bitcoin at $25 and sold it at $125 and thought I was a financial genius. The truth is it's hard to be a financial genius when you're living in a world full of clowns. It's The Human Condition man. This thing goes Way Beyond just guitars.
Yep! Like Tom doxing me!
Looking at it objectively, Tom criticized Voxyu's guitar playing, his channel size/popularity, and fact that he is on Sound Cloud. This isn't just social media. Many of us are musicians. And one musician should not belittle another musician regarding their musicical talent or choices. Once it got personal, Voxyu took it personal and responded in kind. But I would have to say that it's starting to get a bit played out at this point (pardon the pun). But I still find it interesting to see where it will go. Perhaps the laugh is on all of us and it's all about social engagement and $$ for the content creators invoved. 🤗😎😇
After a few years of watching content creation game evolve, I think you’re spot on. Drama cash is real.
But that is not what happened. Voxyu made a video about Jason Isbell that framed him as too gullible and stupid to realise he had been ripped off buying Red Eye. Tom was responding to that. Voxyu can’t complain that Tom got personal after he had made that video. Isbell had just made a choice too. The negativity in the online guitar community is toxic and destructive. Voxyu is part of this, not some poor victim. I haven’t read/seen all the back and forth on this so I’m not saying Tom is blameless but it at started with voxyu’s video on Isbell.
@@onethousandtwonortheast8848 Drama cash has been real for a long time before RUclips with “feuds” between artists around the same time one or both are releasing new music, a new movie, or whatever other form of art (it happens in all the creative communities).
It’s actually not negative, if anything it gets the burst guy views on his channel, and it sets the record straight about general guitar quality and value. All your points about inspiration are spot on for all situations.
I agree but he has went on a bash crusade. I agree with him as far as they are making crap up to justify the price but it’s got to a point of personal crap
@ it’s just getting funnier and more entertaining
Who is the feud with?
Tom Bukovac and some loser with a soundcloud
The guy is taking issue with Tom saying that the Burst is the best guitar ever made.It seems as though you and Tom have thin skin
Exactly the opposite, as it seems that if Tom expresses an opinion that is different than someone else’s he is the jerk? What about you expressing your opinion here saying that others have thin skin? Seems hypocritical to me.
@MikeW-u4z Tom was the first to start personal attacks, he personally insulted my guitar playing and called me a poser, and called peopel who agree with VOYXU "the tard pack", insulting him for having a sound cloud page and many many more insults. You are 100% wrong
@@whoozworldizthis4221One way to play this to your benefit is to ride this attention wave and then have a makeup session where you and Tom get together in person on video and make an episode. Everyone wins. No one likes drama. I don’t even know what this is about. I don’t watch his videos so whatever it’s about, I don’t know.
@@whoozworldizthis4221 so Tom started all the personal stuff, really? The video on Jason Isbell was personal, that’s what Tom was responding to. If you need to make content about another musician where you frame them as so stupid that they were scammed into buying an instrument but then complain that it was actually someone else that made it personal, you look silly. To follow up with video after video is nothing more than seeking clicks.
@@whoozworldizthis4221 I think you need to grow a pair.Taking it way too seriously.
Let's be honest - if you pay $650 for a guitar, you're probably an idiot. People are suffering out there.
Great playing. Sounds like an electric guitar to me.
I feel like my little channel is doing pretty good and I literally just plug a Les Paul into a couple of Friedmans and play classic riffs for fun. I've made a conscious effort to literally stay away from pedals and all the "trends" and whatever. I'd say you're gonna get some heat about this. Lol!
Well said Justin. No negativity here, that's for sure.
Clicks feed the demon.. just ignore those bashing videos and the guy and his channel will disappear and return to the void he came from. No need for that kind of drama and negative BS for clicks. Ignore his videos please. Uncle Larry and Jason Isbell deserve our click control... :-)
Yeah 501chorusecho shit posted on this channel, so there's that
This. There's a simple answer to this nonsense. Don't participate.
Must have missed it. What is the Feud about?
100% agree in all your points 👏🏻
The dude has a dark soul man. He doesn't get it and his videos are building a reputation id be ashamed of.
Surely you’re not defending spending 50 grand on a guitar?
Yea. Such a *dark* guy. I can tell he enjoys peeling the skin from live captives while playing guitars and speaking eloquently and stuff. ?
@@SmelOdieswhen did he say that? And who cares who spends what on an instrument lol
@@ScottsGuitar bro… You giving me the sneaking suspicion that you threw away 50 boxes of ziti on a guitar.
@ lol. If I did I would have made money on it. But no, sadly no collectibles I’m a player. Only tools i use I gig with regularly on stage. But also, nobody pays 50k cuz thats what it’s actually worth. It’s like buying BTC or NFTs, it’s just a collectible that rich ppl collect cuz they have to do something with all that money. Its value is fake and only maintained by a few wealthy ppl that own most of the inventory (bursts for one - see joes comments about what would happen if he sold em all at once). There isn’t a single guitar of any price that could do better as a tool than what 4-5k buys you today. Doesn’t mean there isn’t a collectible market tho. Just 2 different buyers.
I agree . IMO it seems as though there is more focus on "gear" these day than the music . For me , instruments are tools to help me create . This guy making the video's bashing Tom is trying to milk it for all he can . His big issue or point is "The 58-60 Gibson Les Paul's" are not better than newer Gibson's . This guy has miss the point . These Gibson's inspired some of the greatest music ever made plus they are rare and some are incredibly made . To have an original guitar that inspired and created a million dollar business ....I can go on . Hope all is well Justin ! And thanks for turning my question into a video . Keep rocking ! - Jesse
I think you are right on in saying its each persons decision on what works for them , but this one sided bashing isn't a feud,
you are right Justin, the man just wants views and subscribers It’s pretty sad how people do things now days!
Kudos on the Super Champ. The best.
I just picked one up. It’s amazingly loud.
Happy Birthday!!!
