So, this isn’t a layup question and please know I’m not blowing you shit here. You’ve said before that you don’t want to collect guitars just to collect, but also that you won’t tour with the vintage stuff and only take out reissues. This makes complete sense in my eyes but is kind of contradictory - you feel me? You’ve also said you do very little session work so I’m assuming it’s not just kept around for that.
Only one...? That's cruel. Well, it has to be a Telecaster for me. But I love Gibsons as well. I'm envious of your 335. You made a good choice. Well done.
❤my dear music friend, the recently departed Jerry Miller had a beautiful ‘61 L5 Florentine and he played that Dickens out of that guitar until the day died. I miss that man.
My workhorse is 72 Les Paul Custom i got in 73 from my teacher but if i could choose anything i think it would be a 59 Les Paul Cherry Burst Standard like the one Duane Allman had. PIPE DREAM !!
I guess it if it's only one, it would be a triple neck. lol.. 59 burst on top and a 50s tele in the middle, and that friggin rocketship you are playing in this vid! how did I do? haha. cheers from maine bro! Great playing as always!
I finally got a Custom at a reasonable price recently, a 2010 with some gig wear and some cosmetic scratching and that nice slim modern neck profile. Customs are like Tele's though, they always wear aging so well, enhancing rather than detracting from their appeal. They re like the Silver Fox of guitars, paging like fine wine and always wearing their tuxedo with elegance. It was instant love. I could sell everything else and just keep the Custom. I'm not going to, cos I don't need the money, but if I had to, that Custom would keep me happy. I'm finally done. I don;t think I'll ever buy another guitar, LOL !!
Hi Justin! One guitar ? The 80's ARIA Pro II (2nd gen) "RS 850" that was stolen from me in the 90's, just after I recorded my first self-produced album! Take care!
2:10 is the point at which a man realizes all the time , money and hard work paid off.. the 😊 says it all.. congrats! Well deserved.
❤ it sounds marvelous and I love your enthusiasm and love for your brand new instrument
Nice playing. These make a good guitar to practice unplugged
