the kiss of mysaria and rhaenyra surprised me and finally they put rhaenyra with a little more personality and I like that. the scene of larys and aegon was crazy!!!!!! from my point of view the best of the episode. Tom was amazing but matthew left me in shock with his performance. 😱👏

I feel like Disney is doing the same thing they did with the Jason and Jaina Solo story line from Legends. They took that story and made Jason into Ben, and Jaina into Rey, no longer his twin but some rando from junk world. In this case, they're using the story of Darth Tenebrous and his two apprentices, Plagueis and Venamis. The story might not line up perfectly with the one from Legends, but I still think it will end up being close enough to be recognizable. If that's the case, then Qimir is Venamis, and Plagueis is on the island spying on him for Tenebrous. By the same token, that means the Osha is the apprentice he needs to increase his power enough to challenge Tenebrous and Plagueis. She's the key to his rebellion, and the show is called, "The Acolyte," after all.

Luke, I was right there with you on the KOR tip too in this episode. My far out theory was that Ben Solo got thrown into the Force vergence on Exegol and the Kylo Ren part (remember Snoke said killing Han in TFA split his soul to the bone so he was already fractured) went through to the Force vergence on Brendok in the past while the other part of him clawed its way back to Exegol and TROS. Kylo Ren came to know the witches and met Qimir who was drawn to the power of the vergence. He attended the Ascension and was the tall hooded figure whose face was never revealed. Qimir became a KOR and thus Kylo was both the first and the final Ren. They saved Mae from the fall and were shaping her to become a KOR and killing a Jedi without a weapon was to be the "worthy death" that she needed to be knighted. Obviously, that theory was a bust but honestly just drawing lines between your favourite SW beats is part of the fun...the more far fetched the better 👊😜

In fact I re-watched the entire series yesterday and gotta say that the pacing issues I found with watching in weekly episodes were far less apparent when seen like this. I think next season they should do fewer but longer episodes of 1.5-2.0 hours like a miniseries. The main problem for me though is that the twins just weren't compellingly enough written or performed especially when compared to top notch performances from Master Sol, Qimir and my favourite, Mother Aniseya. I think clunky dialogue and underwhelming performances (both at 8 and at 24) probably contributed to this impression. Although their story itself had real potential it was more in the execution that the ball was dropped. The action, lore, political and moral elements however were such a treat I'm still a VERY satisfied shopper LOL ✌️😁 #istilllovestarwars ❤

Unfortunately I still found the twins (at 8 and at 24) were not compelling enough characters to hold the series down maybe due to some clunky dialogue, inadequately explored inner experiences and perhaps underwhelming performances. That said their fights and in fact all the fights and action scenes in this were absolutely brilliant, there was some top notch acting from Master Sol, Mother Aniseya and Qimir, and we got some amazing fan service. Bleeding a kyber crystal, using cortosis against lightsabers, Vernestra's lightwhip, a live action Darth Plagueis and Wookie Jedi on the rampage? We're not worthy LOL😂 And Carrie Ann Moss' Master Indara?Crazy good! I even think the storyline of the twins was compelling it was just the execution that left me wanting. Overall a mixed bag with some truly awesome highs and a few critical lows but y'know what? I still love Star Wars✌️😁❤

Enjoyed your reactions. What I loved about this series is the maturity. I am 60 plus so grew up with Star Wars. I like they are dealing with the Dark side. I saw a thumbnail where a girl thought it was portraying evil as good. I don't think it is evil. Qimir sees it as using the force without rules. The senator pointed out that suppressing emotions can lead to someone snapping. Of course we have seen how that happens.

I like it, cause it lets us make up our own mind about what happened, but yeah, they could've repeated it one more time. They said it was a mine but didn't mention what was being mined. That could explain why the fire was so big.

Thanks to Luke, Char, Hereth and Nick! 🌑 The "we must be sacrificed" misquote little 'Mae' conveyed to 'Indara' and 'Sol' had a huge impact. They literally thought the girls were in mortal danger. 'Aniseya' actually said, "It is about sacrificing a *part* of ourselves". 🔸 It's also wild to learn that 'Sol' was imposing his own wants (to have a Padawan... even though he might not be ready) onto the situation. He almost lost his temper with 'Indara' at the end... a very un-Jedi-like conflict that adds to his motivations. 🔸 And don't get me started on 'Torbin' being all immature from boredom and homesickness. 🔸 'Indara' and 'Kelnacca' turned out to be the most reasonable ones. 🔸 A bunch of well-meaning mistakes, cascading to tragedy.

JJ is my literal QUEEN. She knows everything about the books, but is always the most upset when they occur.

How was Alicent's advice even remotely good? She told him to seek their guidance and then when he did she said shut up and look pretty. She's been going on and on about the sacrifices they made to put him on the throne, when they literally had to drag him kicking and screaming to take it. They keep him out of their plans when he's basically begging them to keep him informed. Wearing a crown doesn't make you wise the same way giving birth does not make you a good mother, Alicent! Also, Meleys had a decent chance against Vhagar in the books (even here it is shown she can hold her own against her and victory was not guaranteed), so springing this trap without letting Aegon in on it was pretty stupid on Aemond and Criston's part. Needless to say, he was in on it and made all the difference in the book, the show just wants to paint him as stupid and incompetent as possible.

The lady needs to stop geeking out every scene.

14:15 - Baela and Jace's dragons are both small (similair size to Lucerys dragon) and have zero combat experience even if she could have gone back to get them it wouldn't have helped in the slightest. Two or more inexperienced dragon riders with small inexperience dragons against a dragon as large and experienced as Vhagar would have just gotten in Rhaenys and Meleys way, and simply added to Vhagar's victims. Vhagar alone can easily slaughter over half of Rhaenyra's side dragons even if they all ganged up on her. The only one who would have been able to help Rhaenys and Meleys against Vhagar would be Daemon and Caraxes, however he's isolated himself at Harrenhal leaving her with no one who could have backed her up.

This episode really showed me why the Greens getting rid of Otto was thier biggest mistake because they all dropped the ball this episode. Aegon is upset that Ser Criston Cole is making plans without consulting him but when he did it in episode 2 by sending Ser Arryk to kill Rhaenyra you didn't say anything then instead you rewarded him by making him your hand so now he feels like he can do whatever he wants. Aemond's and Ser Criston Cole plan may have worked but it was not the smart move, because killing Rhaenys was not a win. They should've went to Harrenhall while Daemon was by himself and his guard was down because he's been hallucinating and they could've ambushed him. But now not only do the Blacks have Harrenhall and the Riverlands, they also have the North, the Narrow Sea, the Blackwoods and Vhagar killed the Sea Snakes wife. They should've thought that through a little bit more.

I'm team black but I love Aemond, he's secretly team black because he killed Aegon.
