Even if Alicent wanted to stop the war, she couldn't, Aegon and Aemond would never listen to her. She has no power over them.
we need to stop absolving alicent of the part she played in rhaenyras usurpation.
The main issue is Otto grooming her for the king & then Alicent misunderstanding. She was fine with her being Queen originally.
