How I Make a Pizza Peel
In this video I make a pizza peel for the first time. For material I used cherry for the side pieces and walnut for the handle. For a small accent I had a thin strip of maple running through the middle of it. This turned out really nice and was a lot of fun to make. Now let's see if I actually use it for what it is intended for. I hope you enjoy this video and If you do it would be really awesome if you subscribed and followed along with me on my journey of learning woodworking. Thanks

How I Make: A Banana Hanger
Просмотров 6229 месяцев назад
In this video I try something new. I've never really tried making a mortise by hand with a chisel and mallet. It was really challenging but rewarding as well. The wood I chose is Sapele. It turned out beautiful when finish was applied. As far as the design of the piece I tried to do something a little different. Most of the banana hooks I found on the internet all had a bent or curved stand and...
Cheap, Easy Shiplap
Просмотров 55310 месяцев назад
This was an easy DIY woodworking project. I took and empty spot on the side of one of our cabinets and added some shiplap to the side. Not in the traditional way though, I used some thin plywood cut into 6 inch strips and glued and nailed them to the side. Pretty straight forward project but I got to use some tools so it was fun. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy. #diy #shiplap #woodwork...
How I Make: Planter Box
Просмотров 250Год назад
In this video I wanted to try something new. I saw Matthew Peech build a planter box from cedar fence pickets and really liked the look of it. So I watched his video a few times and tried my hand at making one. I got close but I have since then bought his plans from his Etsy store and will try it again. This was a fun and challenging build for me using different angles for miters and bevels. Up...
Easy DIY Storage Solutions for a Small Shop
Просмотров 226Год назад
When you have a small shop like mine you need as much floor space as possible. This is a very quick and easy DIY project to get some of that space back. My dust collection is not great so I utilize my leaf blower throughout the day. When I'm not using it I am continuously moving it out of the way. With a few cutoffs, some glue and screws I made a simple holder to get it off the ground and put i...
How I Make: A Keepsake/Tea Box
Просмотров 11 тыс.2 года назад
In this video I took inspiration from John Maleckis version of a tea box that he took from Mike Pekovich book The Why and How of Woodworking. I used walnut for the walls and detail pieces and maple for the top, bottom and inserts. I used finger joints instead of dovetails since I've never attempted either I started with what I felt would be easier. This was a really fun woodworking project and ...
How To Make EASY DIY Floating Shelves. Small decorative shelves from some scrap wood.
Просмотров 2192 года назад
This was a quick DIY project. We had some leftover butcher block that was used for the countertop in our kitchen. I just cut a few smaller pieces and used some hidden shelf brackets that I found on Amazon, gave them a pretty good sanding and used some butcher block oil for the finish. Down the road I may use some type of poly protection on them but for now this looks alright. I hope you enjoy t...
How I Make: DIY Tealight Candle Holder
Просмотров 19 тыс.3 года назад
This video is a simple DIY scrap wood project. I had some leftover walnut, cherry and maple from an earlier project and wanted to try bending some thin pieces between the larger ones to create a wavy look with the wood. I'm happy with how it turned out and think next time I might do a little more with different patterns. I hope you enjoy and if you do go ahead and like and subscribe to the chan...

In this video I make a simple keepsake box from some leftover walnut and cherry. It was a pretty straight forward DIY woodworking project. I had never made one before but I think it turned out pretty good. I will definitely be making another one in the future. How I Make: An Easy DIY IKEA Style Bookshelf
Getting the most out of your tools, in a modest workshop and building with reclaimed crap is fantastic. This impresses me far more than the tool sponsored vanity palaces that litter RUclips. I’m subscribed.
Thank you, I really appreciate that. Sometimes you've got to work with what you got, right? I hope you enjoy the rest of the projects. Thanks again!
What are the dimensions? How thick are the panels and what type of wood species did you use here?
It's been a while but I think it is about 10 inches long by 5 inches tall and wide. The sides are a 1/4 inch thick and the panels are about 1/8 inch thick. I'm pretty sure I used walnut and cherry.
I've been waving my fingers like Jack Sparrow at my walls for 6 hours, I'm exhausted, and nothing's happening. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong... my wife told me that I'm crazy, but I'm convinced it'll work eventually
Wow which dewalt table saw is that?
It's the DWE7480. Not sure they make it anymore. I love it.
Nice work! I’ve been wanting one of those for a while, and last night I really could have used one as I messed a pizza up trying to use a plate to get a pizza out of the oven. 😢. I guess I know what one of my next projects will be. 😀👍🏼
Oh no! Well if you do end up making one I'd love to see a picture when your done. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Really enjoyed the video! First time seeing your channel, i like seeing makers with realistic garage set ups!
Thank you! You get really good at playing Tetris when you've got a small shop like mine. Haha!
Neat! What did you coat it with at the end?
Thanks, I just used some mineral oil as finish for this one.
I love that design. Nice vizsla too 🥰
Good job
Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing.
Great job and thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Well I had to mute because it was assumed the music was what I wanted to hear - no wood was dancing, was this a music video?
glueing those boards together for sawing is a great idea
Thank you! Not my idea but definitely handy when you need it.
Good job and project thx for sharing Keep building
Thank You!

I wish you were talking. Telling us what you're doing.
This is gorgeous!! Do you mind sharing your measurements etc? I’m a newbie and this looks like something I might like to try as a gift! I had a hard time finding your channel when searching by name cuz there are so many How I Make…videos. Maybe changing it up a bit because your stuff should def be seen!! Beautiful!
Thank you so much! This was a fun one to build. As far as measurements the base is 5x7 inches and is about 13 inches tall. I'd love to see what you come up with.
Catchy music thx
After making over 200 different types of tea candle holders, I am trying to think of new designs. Your idea hit the jackpot for me !! Thank you for a great idea !
Thanks, I'd love to see what you come up with.
Easy ….thanks for the video ❤❤
Great job and project
Thank you!
I hope the algorithm picks up your channel
How do you have under 1k subs these videos are to high quality for that
Thank you, I really appreciate that.
Yeah, I hit MUTE
Nice! What were your dimensions?
Thanks, It's roughly 20.5 inches long by 13 inches wide....I think.
Absolute artistry man thank you for sharing it. I learned a lot.
Thank you! I really appreciate that.
Or you could buy a tin of blackboard paint and a box of chalks and then you could pass messages to each other: "Not in for tea on Thursday", "Mum called" etc. Or give the chalks to your children, for while you're cooking, I worked late one day and came home to a representation of the Solar System.
Why? You're just using cedar siding with finishing nails to add no aspect to cabinet. You're just making it harder to clean.
Honestly in my opinion it looks way better
@@Darkish_water Not really.

Excellent work
Thank You!
Stunning work. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing a beautiful build. Any chance you have PDF plans to sell. I'm a disabled builder so I really need crutch to lean on.
Thank you so much! I'm sorry but I don't have any planes for this one. I just kind of winged it. I probably should look into making plans in the future.
Thanks for the quick reply and THANKS for the good looking build! @@howimake1
Very nice project ,wonderful video as well, well done.
Beautiful craftsmanship
Thank you!
One of the nicest serving trays I've seen!!! The flow from the board to the side handles makes it! opposite of a waterfall. Great staging at the end with the personal touch. Thank you for your effort. I understand more than most how much work you put into this video. All the camera placement and the editing to follow.
Thank you very much!
Good job thx for sharing Cheers
Thank You!
Dogs gotta be deaf at this point.
Awesome work! May I ask which thickness wood you used for the inset rows?
Thank you, I appreciate that. I planed the maple down to about 1/8 of an inch for the inside walls and spacers.
Sweet Build!
Oh carpet in your shop - happy days
Haha, yeah. I don't have the heart to pull it up. I just vacuum a lot more.
Over carpet?
Would be great to talk us through it Great work though 👍
I've been thinking about doing voiceover. Maybe on the next one. Thanks
@@howimake1 can’t hurt - be great to know your thoughts and reasoning
You went from cutting to length to taping the mitered pieces. How did you get a good, consistent 45 degree miter?
The pieces that I was cutting to length were the top and bottom. I had already cut the miters before. As for the good fit I just kinda got lucky with that, HaHa! Thanks for watching.
I love this video so Far dad
Great job and thank you for sharing
That is one Sexy serving tray
What brand of bandsaw do you use
I have a Jet 14 inch and an old Craftsman which is the one I used in this video. I'm pretty sure. Old but great.
