@@howimake1haha, had a go today… epic fail 😂. Got a Nice piece of oak and cut the ‘S’ shape on the bandsaw. Cut a nice thin strip for the infill on my bandsaw… don’t know what type of wood as it was reclaimed from a piece of furniture. Clamped it in place and PING, it snapped. I guess the infill was too brittle, plus in hindsight I had tighter bends on my abstract shape. Never mind… great excuse to get back in the workshop tomorrow and try again.
@@MrBigMalT Ah bummer! That has definitely happened to me a few times. I've found that if you soak the wood strips in water for a good bit it helps with the bending. If you have time put it in clamps without glue and let it dry it should hold most of its shape and allow you to have a nice glue up. But I've also glued it up without letting it dry and it worked out fine. Definitely don't give up and keep me posted.
After making over 200 different types of tea candle holders, I am trying to think of new designs. Your idea hit the jackpot for me !! Thank you for a great idea !
That is a very very cool techniques you are implementing. I definitely am putting this on my things to do list. This would also be great as a serving player design.
Thnx. Nice. Ive been thinking of doing this but im going to move the candles to one side and on the other put it an inscense groove. I thought to combo would mak a great craft market idea. Packaged with 3 candles and 3 sticks of inscense.
Thanks, all I used was some mineral oil I had left over from another build. It's still holding up but I might put some oil and wax mix on it in the future.
That’s pretty badass!, I love it!
Awesome, Thank you!
Thanks for showing how to inlay the contrasting thin strips - defo going to give that a try!
Thanks! Give it a shot and let me know how it goes.

Is there a liability involved when making a tealight holder out of wood? Isnt it a fire hazard?
What ? Look if you don’t or not willing to explain or communicate with your viewers ,it’s not worth my time to watch ,or give a like.
