Tinubu approve payment of N3 3tn power sector debt
In a bid to address frequent power outages in Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has approved a phased repayment of the power sector's debts, which total over N3.3 trillion. The Federal Government plans to pay about N1.3 trillion owed to power generation companies (Gencos) through cash injections and promissory notes, and approximately $1.3 billion (N1.994 trillion) owed to gas companies via cash and future royalties.
The payment of the N1.3 trillion owed to Gencos has already commenced, with the first installment being funded by the Gas Stabilisation Fund. This was disclosed by Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, during the 8th Africa Energy Marketplace in Abuja.

This Dana Airplane again!! That reminds me of Dana Air Flight 0992 on the 3rd of June 2012. The plane crashed on landing at Iju-Ishaga because of engine failure and pilot error. People lost their lives Government has to do something about Dana Airline.
