Tone I’m so sorry - I’ve only just managed to watch this half on Monday 29th and the rest on Tuesday 30th - and you’ve already gone into hospital so I don’t know if you’ll be checking your comments while you’re in. I’m Catholic and I hope you won’t be offended, but I’ve added you, Mrs BT and your family to my praying the Rosary. Hey BeatleyTone I had meant to watch this particular video sooner but got sidetracked. I've just seen it now and I realise that with the time difference you'll be heading into hospital today, if you're not already there, for your 3+ week sojourn into recovery. This is sad & shocking news to hear but at least the prognosis is a positive one for now and the foreseeable future. I must say that you've handled this serious illness remarkably well. I guess we truly don't know how we will handle such a life changing crisis until It's upon us. More power to you mate. 👍👍 I just want to wish you all the very best and send you positive vibes. Embrace the bald look mate, it hasn't done me any harm. This next 3 weeks or so is going to be crucial. I look forward to you coming out the other side of this experience. Hi,Tone. Thank you for sharing your very personal story. It was especially moving to me because, back in July, 2017, I was also diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma at the age of 49. I was devastated. I didn’t know how to tell my wife and our then 9 year old daughter. I was a Registered Nurse used to providing care for others and now suddenly, I was the patient. I went through many of the experiences you described including the bone marrow biopsy as well as apheresis to prep me for the stem cell transplant I had in April 2018. I just wanted to let you know it all worked out well for me and it can also work out well for you. I was in the bone marrow transplant unit for about 2 weeks. I won’t sugarcoat it, it was a challenging & sometimes painful process but it will pass. Fortunately, I never acquired any infections while I was in the hospital and I did what I was told (including exercising as well as eating when I didn’t feel like it). As a result, I was able to go home early. Afterward, I started a regular schedule of chemotherapy, which I have tolerated well. 7 years later at age 56, I am stable and receive maintenance chemotherapy every other week. I am medically “retired” from nursing but life is good! I feel I have a very normal and often busy life (my family & I even traveled from America to England last summer on a Beatles Pilgrimage Tour. A dream come true!) Most importantly, I have the strong support of my family & friends. In a way, my cancer diagnosis has been a blessing. It has forced me to focus intensely on the present moment and to appreciate every day, which is a gift. I am sending you positive thoughts and encouragement to let you that you have so many people who are hoping for the best possible outcome for you. You can do this, just take it a day at a time. Your sharing of your cancer treatment will no doubt give your followers courage to face the same type of issues. Your strength is an inspiration to us all. Your channel is awesome. Hey Tony and Mrs Beatley Tone...I have just watched your video although I heard of your diagnosis on the show a couple of days ago. First of all congratulations on being in remission. You and your family gave worked hard to get there! Finding and keeping positive with steely determination is so important for getting through treatment.I know...having gone through treatment in 2022. YOU are doing amazingly!!!❤ The chemo next week won't be fun but you will be strong...I can tell lol! You will look great bald, btw❤ Now, to conclude, go and kick the shit out of those cancer cells!!!!. Rach and I will have you in our prayers and you will be in our thoughts!!
