Please react to more juice wrld.
Brilliant video. And you were at Live Aid! Superb stuff. 👍🏻✊🏻🎹🎸
Fantastic reaction!!! I watch a lot I mean a lot of first time reactions to ren first and ren journeys but I tell you what when I see someone really click or connect to him it’s like this light switch turns on you can see it in the reactors face again fantastic reaction I hope you continue down this friend rabbit hole. I’m definitely along for the ride.❤
The most influential band of my generation. 24 Hours is the masterpiece I always go - beauty and pain personified in 4 and a half minutes.
They are amazing and still relevant. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I covered one of their early tracks - at a later date - a little while ago
Just learned of your channel. So I apologize if I offer something you have already done. You should check out: 1. Sigur Ros - Hoppipolla and Untitle 8 2. Radiohead - anything off of In Rainbows, Ok Computer, Kid A, Moonshaped Pool, Amnesiac, and The Bends. 3. Saint Paul and the Broken Bones - The live performance in Paris of Half the City 4. Sturgill Simpson - Turtles All The Way Down and Long White Line 5. Bonnie Prince Billy - I See A Darkness - the original version from the album of the same name.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment and suggest some bands/tracks. They are new names to me, but I'll definitely check them out. Thanks again
American RENegade here! Welcome! It's a crime so many from his home dont know him.
Thank you. It is a crime, but I've been lucky enough to find him
Lovely tune!!
It is 👍
Excellent. Again. Can´t wait for the next review, John. Maybe something from the bands Deep Purple, Led Zep or Black Sabbath stuff? Keep on Rocking, John. Or looking back to the 70s when it all began: Sweet, Slade, Alice Cooper... no limits and unforgotten. Enjoy. Greetings from Germany, Dave.
Thanks for the comment. I have done quite a few reviews of 70s. One of my first attempts at a video was Black Sabbath. I covered an early Slade track as well, and one of Sweet. Not done Deep Purple or Zeppelin yet, but I will
I would love to see you react to Ren's "Jenny and Screech".
A few people have suggested that and I will
Please, British Dad, do yourself a favor and take a deep dive into Rens music.
Thanks for commenting. I will definitely do a deeper dive into his work
If you ever meet someone who can't relate to this song, run. 'Cause if they don't have this internal struggle, they only have to listen to one of them. And that's scary. Great reaction. For you, I'd recommend listening Chalk Outlines next (must be the live version). Would generally love to hear you break it down.
Good advice 👍 I will avoid such people. Thanks for your comment, a lot of people have suggested what to cover next 👍
Loved your reaction! Cheers!
Thank you
Thank you for your reaction.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment
Always liked this band.
They were new to me
@@BritishDadReacts-ui4jx It's always grand to suddenly come acroos something that you haven't heard before, mate, isn't it. Try the album, " Call of the West ".
@@raycope2086 it is good to find something new. Thanks for the recommendation
@@johngill546 No worries, mate.
I love this band. Thank you for posting. 😊
Thank you. I also did a more in depth review of one of their very early tracks - At a later date
@ I am looking forward to that!
I saw them when they opened up for kiss didn't really care for them this was the early 80s vinnie Vincent was the new guitarist for kiss
Thanks for taking the time to comment. The early 80s was a strange time for a number of bands
Loved your reaction!
Thank you so much 👍
The bullfight clips make me sick, but it's a great tune.
Agreed, it's not pleasant
Stan Ridgway has some amazing music. Check out Camouflage,
Thank you for the recommendation, I will
One of my all-time favourite bands.
Thanks for commenting. A great band and he was a great loss to music
more ren reactons!
Thank you, they will be coming 👍
Maybe give this one a shot, Mexican Radio by SPM. ruclips.net/video/OUZp0HZQy2g/видео.html
Thank you for the suggestion, I'll check that out 👍
Hi BDR! & Welcome to the wonderful world of Ren! This was a great reaction to this piece of art! I am sure you will get a lot of suggestions for the next of Ren's work to check out, some of it is fun, some serious and or emotional as this is. If it should get too intense, check out "The Big Push" the busking band Ren was in in Brighton. Well Done! Keep Reacting!
Thank you for watching and taking time to comment. I don't normally react as I tend to do reviews, so this was new to me in a few ways. I'm looking forward to checking out more of his work 👍
The next song when descending into the Ren rabbit-hole is called "Sick Boi". Enjoy!!!
Thank you, I've had a lot of great suggestions about more of Ren's work 👍
i have seen two of your reactions now and I have to say I really like your take on things - very refreshing when compared to most of these lost young chumps that just don't have anything insightful to express. KEEP IT UP!!!
Thank you so much. I'm still relatively new, but part of the reason for starting was that reactions that I saw just caused frustration. So I wanted to add something extra, hence I mainly do 'reviews' but wanted to respond to the requests I received for suggested reactions
@@BritishDadReacts-ui4jx Reactions are where it is at today though, so you might want to keep with it. Best of luck to you from Texas!
@@RhettClark-r3y Thank you, really appreciate that
Welcome to the ranks of the "Renegades"!!!
Thank you, most kind
The song Mexican Radio is an homage to the high-powered Mexican AM radio station stations along the US border in the Southwest states in the 1980s... While American AM radio stations could rarely be heard more than 50-75 miles away from their broadcast towers..... Mexican stations in Tijuana were blanketing the Los Angeles basins and valleys 100-150 miles away, while the stations in Nogales were easily reaching both Tucson and the Southern suburbs of Phoenix, AZ. Often broadcast in Spanish accented English, with loanwords, news broadcasts, and commercials in Spanish and English....it was fairly exotic to White kids in the suburbs....especially because the production values of Mexican broadcasts were much less engineered than their American counterparts. (Compare it to the UK pirate radio of the 1960s-90s)
Thank you. I did wonder what is was about and just made a few guesses during the reaction. I can imagine that listening to Mexican radio seemed exotic against the usual blend of normal radio. Very smart by the Mexican radio stations. Thank you for taking the time to provide the information
Beautiful reaction
Thank you
Saying that Peter Gabriel is a artist is quite an understatement. Genious is more fitting, I would say.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. He is an incredible artist I agree, even from his early days
@@BritishDadReacts-ui4jx Especially in his early days! The 70s Genesis stuff is just epic, and much of it is from him.
Get ready for great ride. It gets better with every song!
Thank you. I'm looking forward to going down the Ren rabbit hole
Theirs only 3 choices, its the devil, the holy or that bit in the middle & he's got that bit in the middle 😳 ❤
The best réaction ever on this amazing song keep going man ✊🏼💯💯💯
Thank you for your kind words. I try to add some context to tracks, and this is such a great song it always makes me feel good
John, I love this song. My absolute favorite JD song. You can hear the pain in Ian Curtis' voice and lyrics. It's heartbreaking and feels of desperation-like a call for help. This was one of the earliest songs I did on my channel. I hope you're back to doing your thing soon. We all have those ebbs and flows with life and family...etc.
Thank you Timo, it is a song of such emotion, it's heart rendering. Thank you for your kind words, I'll be back next week 👍
Well!... Try not to be too surprised on your first meeting with this artist. After all, it's Ren... There's a lot more to be surprised about! Thanks for the reaction. P.S. To tell the truth, I also had my jaw dropped when I saw and heard Hi Ren for the first time... and I've seen and heard it hundreds of times more because the reactions of those who see and hear it for the first time, are priceless and always make me feel more human!
Thank you for watching. I'm new to reactions as I normally do more review type videos. I've had so many lovely comments from fans of Ren, and suggestions for what to react to next. I will definitely be checking out more of his work
New sub. Hoping for more Ren! 🇺🇸
Thank you. There will definitely be more Ren in the future
Mexican radio refers to pirate stations that would broadcast just over the boarder, illegaly. Look up the video XERF
It's pronounced "shin-AY", which is Gaelic for "This is it".
Thank you. Having an Irish mother I should have known that 😉
You have to react to Ren "The tale of Jenny and Screech"
Thank you. A lot of people have suggested that, and I will do in the future
I hope you'll do more Ren. I'd suggest you go straight into a singing piece and I think you'd love his band The Big Push's cover of Englishman in New York. You really can't go wrong with Ren but many reactors hit a lot of his heavy ones in a row and it can get overwhelming. The Big Push is ALWAYS fun. The only sad one is Dignity and that's only sad because they had to break up due in part to Ren's health and it was a tribute song to all the love they share.
Thank you. I'll definitely be covering more of Ren's work. A lot of people suggested one of his trilogies as well as some of his early busking stuff
@BritishDadReacts-ui4jx the trilogy (aka The tales of Jenny and Screech) is extraordinary - intense, but a work of art.
Subbed for more Ren reactions.. Be prepared for the influx of Renegades, for your channel is about to grow!! ❤
Thank you. I will definitely be checking out more of his work and have lots of subs and comments 👍
He really is a genius. You need to go down that rabbit hole. There's so many sides to Ren, it will blow your mind.
It already has, and I will definitely be checking out more of his work
great review🥰
Thank you
Great reaction, can't wait to see more Ren on your channel! Hope to see you become a Renegade!
Thank you. I'm looking forward to checking out more of his work
The rhythm guitar interplay between Rossi &Parfitt was once in a lifetime! Believe me it is very good And don’t forget the melodic harmony singing That made Quo different from other rock bands No macho raw singing…
Agreed, they were a fantastic guitar combo. They were fantastic in those early years. Thank you for taking the time to comment
Exactly! Re their singing - perhaps the reason why they were neglected by American producers and never cracked the US market, as much as they deserved it. But I'm happy they sang like they did without being a glam screaming band like Aerosmith or their likes.
Never knew the origin of this track thanks for that . This is Dexy’s best , come on Eileen while the most popular , and no doubt a great pension plan , doesn’t deliver the vibe of that era the Geno does .
Thanks for watching. I prefer this song for that vibe. Mostly I do reviews with some insight/history but was asked to do a few reactions
One of my favourite songs from my youth .
I really appreciated your reaction. Very well paced and intelligent. Im 57 living in Oz and nobody seems to know who Ren is. I sound like a teeny bopper to them, which feels nice too! Do Jenny & Screech and Money Game. They're both Trilogies.
Thank you for the kind words. I normally do reviews but was asked to react to Ren, and so glad I did - what an incredible talent. A number of people have requested those trilogies and I'll do them in the future
You definitely need to react to more Ren, you touched on a few points that are very valid and new. He's a great story teller. I'm 46, never been a 'fan boy' of any artist, and thats exactly what Ren is, an artist! And i've deffo became a fan of his, I can only liken him to Andrew Lloyd Webber in terms of his talent. He's definitely a once in a lifetime Artist. No song is the same. His reggae voice is amazing (Back On 74/Message In A Bottle). Plenty of Songs to choose from both covers and his own like this. Pure Talent! Sony did a doozee with this one
Thank you for your kind words. He is an amazing artist. I'm only 1 video into the journey and he blew me away. I'm looking forward to going down the Ren rabbit hole. I've lots of suggestions on what to watch next so will be starting them soon.
Enjoy the deep, you'll be in this hole for a long time
Brilliant reaction. So glad you found Ren every one in the UK should know about him. Would love to see you do more Ren reactions. Tales of Jenny & Scretch and the Money game trilogy are some of his most famous. Chalk outlines is another brilliant one, all of his busking videos. He really is limitless with regards to genres. Enjoy.
Thank you. He is an incredible talent and I'm looking forward to checking out more of his work. The trilogy you mentioned was suggested by quite a few people 👍
