Fronted by Jamaican Frederick ‘Toots’ Hibbert, the Maytals, who later became Toots and the Maytals, this track 54-46 Was My Number was released in 1968 and was reportedly about Toots’ time in jail. This was a pioneering band best known for ska, rocksteady and reggae music that started as a vocal trio with Toots, Henry ‘Raleigh’ Gordon and Nathaniel ‘Jerry’ Mathias.
As I’ve mentioned in previous videos, they were supported by the legendary producer Clement ‘Coxsone’ Dodd at Studio One. They worked with other studios and producers and are credited with the first song to use the word ‘Reggae’ in a 1968 track.

Please react to goodbye and good riddance by juice wrld. He was a great artist who died in 2019 of an accidental overdose. He was only 21 years old after he died. He died only weeks after his 21st birthday. His album goodbye and good riddance is his debut album showing some of the stuff he was really going thru.
