Nice detail with the GPWX patch! Does someone produce those in sets or did you freehand them?
Thanks! I used individual letters from Smokebox graphics decal sets. The font isn’t exact but it’s close.
I am just starting to use static grass on the club layout and I really like the methods you use. In particular, I like the last process with the small dots of glue; the finished area looks very realistic. Good video!
Thanks! Glad you like the technique. It’s a fast way to get realistic results especially for a patchy field.
Fantastic layout, and I'm subscribing for inspiration, and your insights that you are sharing here, and the PNW is one of the areas I'm considering, the other area is the Greater LA Basin.
Great to hear!! Welcome! Can’t go wrong with the Pacific Northwest, especially some of UP’s lines.
Magnificent catches of the model train cars, i like it 5 stars. Thumbs up. Keep up the perfect work, my friend, just liked and subscribed, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Thank you for tuning in! More to come.
@@unionpacificcascadesubdivi6477 no problem, mate.
@@unionpacificcascadesubdivi6477 the trains in your country are amazing.
Looks great! Camera setup and lighting look spot on too, you can always see what you're doing. I would love to see the techniques and materials you use!
Thanks! Glad to hear it all looks ok. Much more comprehensive content coming in the future.
Where can I get a resting cushion like that ?
I believe I got this at Micro Mark, but Amazon and other retailers may have them.
@@unionpacificcascadesubdivi6477 Do you the name for it?
I think they’re called “foam cradles”
That's really nice work and cool operations. I use the tunnel on my layout as West Fir all the time. Haven't been to Oakridge in over a year though, I gotta get back!
Awesome work! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! More to come, at least that’s the plan
Fantastic layout and great trains running there. Thanks for showing and have a nice day.
This was cool. Thanks for sharing.
Great work! Hope this series can come back, was looking forward to seeing the peeling effects on the lettering.
I’ll bring it back in some capacity sometime in the coming months. Thanks for checking in!
Thanks for the update! Locomotives and roster look good. The 'Prime for Grime' GP really looks like it's earning its keep on the railroad. The filming and editing is good, as is the sound. But it was a little difficult to hear your commentary. In your other videos, your voice is loud and clear.
Thanks for letting me know! I appreciate the feedback and will work on it for the next video.
Man, everything I see your videos, gives me inspiration and the feel, that I'm in the Cascade Mountains!!!!
Yeah, great look on 1213!
really nice weathering on the trains and great modeling with the ground cover :)
Great to see you back again Always enjoy seeing your progress and the running of your railroad. Well done!
Great update and nice to see the “narrative” element of trains working across the layout. Thanks!
Always enjoy new Cascade Sub video!
Good looking scenery work
Great scenery. Really like the road work.
Nice scenery. Gravel road especially. Also rolling stock and locos are done up very well.
Thanks!
Love the dirt road. Very realistic.
Looking great there. Very nice scenery work!
Nice work!
That was a great ride, sometimes a little scary, but great just the same. 3 levels and the top one is quite high, would you do anything differently if you were to start over? I love to learn from other peoples experiences.
Very nice running layout and beautiful equipment.
Very nice railroad. How big is the room and do you have a track plan on RUclips? I have subscribed and went back and watched your spline track laying and your backdrop painting, you are very talented.
Great job on the track laying. Spline roadbed is not always the easiest thing to do but if you do it right, like you did, it is very strong, dependable and it forces your curves to be more gradual. Nice job.
Everyone’s a critic. I thought you did a wonderful job on the backdrop and hope that you show some additional footage.
Great weathering! I remember being around the 1213 prototype, impressive model!
Awesome! I hope it looks close enough to the real thing!
Looking awesome buddy I hope see u your layout someday
Glad to see you didn't loose much to water damage. That weathering is superb, I don't get to see anyone go to such detail.
Thank you! I really enjoy putting those extra details on weathering projects. It makes the models that much more enjoyable to operate.
Do you know how many miles is U.P.'s Cascade Sub.
Nice 👍
Always fun to see how someone else crams the oregon division into cramped courters like me here too Good inspiration even after 25 years building my SP memories Beautiful start on those backdrops! Keep posting there my fellow cascade fan Jeff
Jeff, thank you for your comment! The railroad is somewhat dormant at this time, but new projects in the pipeline! Again, thanks for your interest! John
Hello, very nice work. Can you tell us what are the Tamiya paint references you used to weather it?
Nice work.
More of this!
Track plans
Does the loco's sound system include a guitar and drums??
Well done. I like the overall look of that's engine. I'm not into those big mama's one 12 wheels but you've done a very good weathering job. I'm also working like you using brushes and I like to add some airbrushing with it. Congrats !
If you are making a commentary on this video, it can't be heard for the music. It would be helpful to hear what products you are using to achieve the effect. There seems to be voice over in the background but it is garbelled.
I like the glued plywood for the curved section. Slick!
I like when you weathered your UP c45accte (ES44AC) I did weathered my es44ac
What's happened? hope you're ok. Would like to see the rest of this weathering series
For me, at least, it would have been helpful to know what colors you used and how they were mixed to get the correct end colors. Don't really need the music.
Super beautiful
RUSTULIUM THUNDER CLOUD HIGH GLOSS GRAY! AWESOME FOR NEW HOPPER CARS! TO REFURBISH!
What did you use to make the powders stick so well? When ever I use powers they always brush off and leave not a single trace on the locomotive.
If you apply a coat of Dullcote or another matte varnish, the powders will adhere much better. Additionally, some powders have inherent adhering properties.
@@unionpacificcascadesubdivi6477 ok thanks!
Really enjoying your weathering videos. I'm always interested when I see what you can do without an airbrush.
