You're right about the 90s Drakkar. My fav era for it too. Great to see Trophee in that set. A steal for that Polo and the Armanis for sure. Incidentally I think I picked up my 50 mL HiM edt for something like $6 here in Canada when they were getting rid of them. 😂 Could've gotten HM for the same price and passed because I'm not a fan of the scent. The Viking cap does look sharp!

For the price that was a steal. You should try to get the 2001 discontinue Victoria's secret very sexy for him.

I stand corrected, I re smelled my bottles. Yes they both have civet, but the Duc de vervins is more like Gucci nobile(fougere). And the Lauder is like calandre (chypre) Paco Rabanne.

And actually... The deep vintage of Duc De Vervins by Houbigant smells identical to this, maybe slightly better. They are my two favorite fougeres. Only the vintage versions of both have the civet. All the small splash bottles of the Houbigant are vintage, and you wanna get the box that says "Claire fragrance incorporated Ridgefield NJ " . It will also say Houbigant as well.

I just scored 1.7 vintage bottle off mercari, woohoo! It doesn't have a cap so that's probably why no one was buying it. Yes the vintage had a gold cap, and underneath the bottle it just says "Lauder for men, made in USA" no "e" or no the reverse arrow symbols or no website etc. after watching your video I'm guessing all the Japanese writing probably had the website. Hence websites didn't exist until the 90s so that's a easy tell lol. All the splashes, and mini sprays like you have are vintage though. A bigger vintage spray is really rare...

The first formulation smells like drakkar noir with civet. Its one of my favorites. The reformulation in the late 80s, no civet and smells a little more like fresh laundry. Newer bottle labels had the website. Your juice looks darker, and has a long stem, that may be vintage. If you smell civet and it lasts for 14 hours its the vintage.

Ha! 1:22 - this looks exactly like what came in for me today minus the ombre leather :D Rare Carbon - pretty good, quite heavy, i think Ombre is fresher and sweeter Turathi Blue - really good, quite sweet, fresh and spicy

Just as a heads up, be careful buying some of the vintage early 2k's bottles- this stuff was pretty expensive for a designer then and there were lots of fakes- that sucked- so it would make sense they would not have been used. Caveat emptor.

Personally, the ambrette and musk combo is what I enjoy from TYGAR. Longevity 8hr on me. Collection worthy if you could buy at the $200 range.

I haven't had a bottle of this since the late 90s but bought a new bottle last week coz i needed it for a video. The new ones have 75008 on it. The smell on the new one is not like how I remember it so i'm on the hunt for a vintage...might jump onto mercari 😆 Thanks for the video 👍

If you paid $100 then its not authentic. I have the 7.5ml 100 percent authentic purchased about 40 years ago, i would never sell it for anything less than a thousand. I also have a 45 year old Magie noire 😁

Ive found the hard way that old bottles of aftershave usually turn BAD if theyre alcohol free or low on alcohol. When i saw the 57% vol i was crossing my fingers for ya lol. Glad its good! P.s. just got a bottle of r de cappuci last week, really enjoy it. Reminds me of eucris by geo f trumper.

Regarding the batch code, let's do some reasoning to see if we can't get to a satisfactory conclusion. So, first of all, your batch code indeed comes up as January of 2006, the fragrance was released in 2014 so we can exclude that option. The thing with these batch codes is that they tend to repeat those every 10 years, many brands do this. Seeing that you have a Puig version and that L'Oreal bought Valentino's fragrance department and the transfer became effective on January 1st 2019, I think we have all we need to conclude that this is a January 2016 batch. BTW, this fragrance was not reformulated until L'Oreal got their hands on it so no worries, 2014-2018 is all the same amazing juice! Love that hazelnut, such a great gourmet version of Dior Homme.

You have to let D-U-A macerate a few months. Mine went from clear juice to golden. It's 95 Fierce. Same with Fierce Attar.

This is my favorite cologne from back in the day. The one I had came in a blue velvet sack. The fragrance was like a soapy fragrance from what I can remember unlike the alcohol smelling stuff from today. It was discontinued and then rereleased and discontinued again.The original was oily unlike the alcohol evaporating stuff from today.

I absolutely loved this cologne. It's my all-time favorite. I got it as a gift when I was 25 and then bought another bottle in 1997. I do see them on e-bay for a lot of money and am weary about buying a bottle as I thought that cologne loses its potency after a few years. I have on two separate occasions ordered a replica online. Although they are pretty good but of course not the exact same. Baryshnikov sport can still be bought as I have that one. Would love to see this cologne remade and back on the market.

I recently found Bvlgari Blv Notte Pour Homme after searching for it for years. I got the 3.4oz bottle. I ended up paying $150 with tax but worth it because its no longer available. I fell in love with Blv Notte Pour Homme when it was released back 2004.

So I have been getting into House of Sillage and the trend number nine was sent to me as a gift with purchase, and it smells exactly like the rule 925 stores

Awesome fragrance I'm on my second vintage bottle recently purchased one for a very good price it a 1998 release year bottle.

my friend it is a counterfit bottle and not authentic, u got scammed, caps like this come only on 2010-2011 batches, but the sprayer from the bottle is from 2015 at least. thats why the cap sitts so wanky, its not made for that kind of sprayers. Its a refilled bottle. the bottle did not change collour because its a refill, i have a 15x01 and its greenish juice. and u can clearly see that it is green. if it would be real 30ml are worth around 250-300 Euros. erwin creedn did also not made the scent or hernault, its all a hoax, they never were parfumers in the first place, creed is made on a pile of lies lmao. the only man who created it is pierre. also how u describe the 15x01 is complete wrong, it is a dark gothic batch, earthy and dense, more on the currant side, really dark and nothing bright or citrusy/woody. sorry for your loss, i hope u did not pay much because its more than easy to open this bottles and refill them.

I just discovered for myself that Aqva Marine has two different reformulation. One smell like seaweed and the other smell citrusy. I own the citrusy one which actually smells very attractive, but I could see why they would want to discontinued the seaweed one; it smells too seaweed. Who in the hell wants to smell like seaweed in the office? The question is, what are they going to do with the citrusy reformulation? Are they going to put in a different bottle, or is that one also being discontinued?

Just a heads up, i have a batch from 2023 F001397. Its incredibly heavy and dense on the smoke, its like there was a layer of ash over all the other accords. Very dense musk, and a super bright and poppy pineaple that pokes through, but is still covered in smoke.
