Making a paper mache greyhound
Making a paper mache greyhound: Dutchess
Make the armour out of wire and tinfoil. I start shaping the dog at this point. I use masking tape to cover the tinfoil and wire. This helps to keep the shape.
I made a small heart out of tinfoil and paper to go in the dog's chest, just for fun :)
Keep adding tinfoil and tape until you're happy with the shape.
Now mix some white glue with a bit of water. Don't make it too liquid, you just need to thin down the glue a bit.
Cut paper into strips. I used an old book that was damaged, but you can also use other types of paper (like newspaper, for example)
Dip every piece of paper in the water and glue mixture. You want it to be quite damp, but not dripping....

Printing two small lino blocks (Sparrows and Cat")

Process of printing two small blocks, "Sparrows" and "Cat", from beginning to finished prints. I started by painting the blocks with Indian ink for better contrast with the white carbon paper. I usually don't use white carbon paper, but I was out of my regular blue carbon paper. When using blue/black carbon paper, there is no need to paint the blocks with the Indian ink. the lines will be very ...

Unpacking and testing my brand new Durathene brayers from Lawrence art supplies. I am not affiliated with this shop, I'm just sharing my personal opinions. I have a few rubber brayers (both soft rubber and hard rubber) which weren't too expensive.I mentioned before that you shouldn't waste money on cheap carving tools, but when it comes to brayers you can get away with a lot. Cheap brayers won'...

Cockatoos linocut printing process from beginning to end
Great video, thank you for posting :) Can I ask please which brand of carbon paper do you use? Do you find certain brands better than others for being less likely to transfer to the finished print (and do you have any tips for preventing this?)
@@jessw2283 thank you! 😊 I just use whatever carbon paper is available. I go over the lines with an acrylic pen to avoid smudging. After it's all carved, I clean the acrylic with alcohol. If there's any acrylic/carbon left after this, it will just come off in the test prints. Hope this helps! Happy printing! 😊
@@honeythiefprints Thanks so much! :)
BEAUTIFUL 😍
Jolie et très délicat! Merci pour ce partage!
Thank you so much! ❤️😊
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo charmante et pleine de poésie. Hâte de savoir qu’un jour vous nous préparez, peut-être, une formation online. 😊
Thanks a lot for your attention and dedication to prepare such nice vídeos plein de good tips!
Omg your work is incredible. Also, I save your video as inspiration on how to share my own prints. Love this style! (And I hate talking to a camera 😅)
That's so nice, thank you! 😊❤️
I try to go slow 😩
Хорошая работа. Шик. 👍 Картинку взять можно для своих работ ?
What is the name of this performance that you are sculpting?
Hay this is clickbait…. I don’t see any print on any crisps here 🤭🤭🤭🤭❤️
Beautiful 🎉❤ love watching and your wonderful intricate designs
I keep random tools in my kit too. Floss pick, thumbtack, tooth brush, tweezers…
Hi! I was wondering if you use linoleum block or do you cut on linoleum flooring? I’ve seen videos of both and wanted to know your preference because your prints are beautiful!
Hi, thank you so much 😊 I use lino blocks from the art supplies shop. I think the brand is called "Forbo", but if you just search for b" battleship grey lino " you'll find it 🙂
Love my flexcut gouges. Mostly carve wood but they're fantastic tools especially for the price.
Thanks for sharing your process and your art ❤
Magnificent
I just found ya and totally inspired for my own business
Love it
Thank you kindly 💐💙💜💙
First time watching something like this. Where this commanly use? Can I use this in polyester UV filter fabric? And thanks for sharing!
Pure genius!!!
This touches my heart & soul.Amazing.Thank you.
That's wonderful to read, thank you so much ❤️
So pretty.....I also love the detail of the heart and "The Duchesse" written on the collar. The name suit perfectly this elegant, refined little creature. Thank you for sharing!
All the heart eyes! 😍😍😍
thanks for this
I just found your channel and subscribed straight away :-) Your art is so beautiful, mesmerising. It's so nice and interesting to see the creative and technical process. It's really like magic! You are a Master. Linocut is the most difficult art technique I tried! So to reach yr level I will need another hundred years of practise, 8 hours a day and I am sure that I will still carve the wrong parts🙂. Thank you so much for sharing 🙏, I love yr videos too.
This is such a lovely, kind comment, thank you so much! I'm not a master, though! And believe me, you won't need a really long time long to learn lino printing. If you really enjoy it, you'll soon get the hang of it! Enjoying something is the best way to learn it! Good luck and happy printing! 😊❤️
Your work is very inspiring and so poetic with some nostalgia. Thank you for yr encouragement I'll do my best😀 and you are right, enjoying it. ❤
Have you tried with speedy carve? I can't seem to get it to transfer a single drop of ink on it, though I used to use this method with battleship. Wondering if maybe something doesn't work with the rubbery texture of speedy carve...thank you!
I really don't know, sorry. I pretty much stick to grey lino 🤷♀️
Yeah I just tried a similar method with speedy carve and it just doesn't work. I think it's the material.
Thank you for posting this. I saw these markers in the shop but couls not figure out how to use them. It looks amazing!
It takes a bit of practice to get the technique right. But when you get used to them, they're super useful!
Wish I knew it sooner 😂
Interesting. My father @JoachimGrafWoodcut usually just cleans the plate if there's paint in non picture areas!
What kind of paper is that? Does it need to be a non-stick transfer paper?
It's just regular printer paper. It just needs to be printed in a laser printer.
Such a gorgeous print and the music suits it so well! So wholesome and mystical 💛
That's so kind, thank you!
Beautiful print and a nice score choice! What is the name of the song?
Thank you! 🙂 It's in the description, "First dream", by Brian Bolger
That masking tape tip is genius!
You're work is so beautiful and expressive. Do you always use the carbon paper transfer method?
Very cool and thanks a million 🇺🇸⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🇺🇸.
The picture looks incredibly difficult to see once rhe India ink has been put on. What is the benefit of using the ink wash over carving just the transfered imagine?
It's just helpful in the sense that you see better what you have carved as you make your way through it. But I agree, it makes it more difficult to see the image and I've actually only applied the ink wash a couple of times, I prefer to work without it.
Neat!
Good tutorial!
love the line work in both, bravo. the larger print is my favorite of the two
Thank you!! 😊
Im going to make a tone of these and I might change it up a little to make a borzoi!
I Wang to make one at some point too! 🙂 have fun!! 🙌🙂
This was so helpful thank you! Can you use an alternative to talc if you don’t have it like cornstarch or something?
Thank you, I'm glad you found it useful 😊❤️ I haven't used it, but I know some people do! I think cornstarch is a good option
@@honeythiefprints I appreciate your response 🤍 I’ll give it a try
Ugh, thank you! I always have issues with spots! ❤🎉
Glad if it helps! Happy printing! 🙌🙂
very nice
Your youtube is going to pop off one day
