How to Install Shades - Save $$$
Просмотров 1755 месяцев назад
We ordered four custom shades from the Shade Store. They quoted roughly $750 to install these shades. This video walks you through how to simply hang shades over a window on your own. I used a laser level, painters tape, measuring tape and drill/driver. If you dont have a laser level you could use a regular beam level and mark the painters tape.

DeVOL is really high end. Love their stuff! Especially the sinks. (Moving to a new place and looked at a lot of DeVOL kitchens for ideas.) So the algorithm sent me here. 😂
Yes. Someday I want to incorporate a devol piece into our house.
A CAR JACK???!?? I don’t t have one so I turned your video off right there
You have a jack in your car to change the spare tire
How do you keep bugs out without a screen
Most interior vents don’t have screens
Nice job. Another example of how spending 30 mins. making a jig pays off (w/ repeatable accuracy) in the long run.
Yeah I’ve also found my 3D printer great for making jigs to drill holes for drawers, hinges, etc
I agree
Thank you, really helped me out
Glad to hear that
I have a 19 and love the way it’s set up more durable for sure
👍
Maybe try a high flow connectors?
We all see it
Thanks, fiddlefucked with it for a few minutes before you saved me trying to pry it open......lol.
Haha same here! That’s why once I figured out how to open it I thought I need to make a video so others don’t have to waste their time like me.
My baseboard vent had a different brand name (Truaire) but it looked and operated identically to the one in this video. I would have NEVER figured out how to open it without this video. Thanks!
Great! Glad it helped
If you run for president I would vote for you because of this video.
😂
Some issues with your testing. You do not show the PSI nor tank you are using to show your setup can even handle spec. This by no means controls the variable or at least demonstrates you had accounted for these
Very simple instructions. Thank you!
Glad you found it helpful
Can I use this for a pullout cabinet bins?
I don’t think they would be rated for that weight
Ok thank you
Thank you
Glad it helped
Don't dump the grounds in the bin. Put them in your composter, or sprinkle over your grass in the winter. The grounds add a lot of nutrition to the soil.
Good point
Is this supposed to be funny or what? What kind of latte was that?
Haha it’s actually meant to be a how to video for my wife. We got this machine a year ago and sometimes I leave too early to make her a cup so this was meant to be a video she can watch the next 2-3 days before she has the hang of it.
Does it work on 6 gallon compressor?
Yes. I’ve found all my air tools work with my 120v compressors. I have a 4.5 gal Dewalt jobsite compressor that runs it fine. You just don’t have super long run times but totally enough for home use in the garage.
Are these adhesive tiles?
No ceramic and using thin set
U get 11% off regardless
Get yourself some proper beans!
Haha yes. This was decaf before before working in the wood shop at night
Interesting you say that. I have new and older batteries, and the best thing about the new power gauge bottom on the new batteries is they don't get hard to push like the older. ones. Guess some cheap things might be better over time 🤔
Fair point
Here I’m wiping off my guide rail with a microfibre cloth between passes and this dude just dumps his connectors onto it.
Haha ive had no issues with the stickiness going away
Thank you 😊
Happy it helped
good stuff. what appliance is in the island if i may ask
Bosch drawer microwave
Thank you for the video! By any chance do you know the color paint you have in that room? Thank you!
Our whole house the walls are revere pewter and the trim is white dove. I also painted our kitchen white dove using BM advanced with a Graco x5 airless
I just crashed my 6 days old Avata 2 today and I’ll be sending it to DJI, I just hope they don’t fix it with poor quality parts, I’ll keep you all posted.
Yes keep me posted. I had it crash again sent it in and they fixed it for FREE!!
That is not the way you use an impact air ratchet. That design air ratchet is called “ knuckle saver” to save ween tightening fasteners will not kerk and pin your hand to surrounding areas. You still break loose fasteners manually and properly torque fasteners after use.
Thank you so much. Very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Wearing a very fancy watch for doing pretty dirty work. 😮
Very good
Glad you found it helpful
So the only thing holding the drawer in are the pins? Doesn’t seem very nice gonna just accidentally pull it out right? Makes no sense
Yes the clips grab onto the slides. This is a pretty standard approach for under mount drawer slides
Thanks! This was helpful.
Glad you found it helpful
Wow, exactly the video I was looking for. Thank you
Glad it helped
Do you have a good link to the file?
Why would you have a Dry Powder extinguisher in an office?? Carbon Dioxide is better for office's. Here in the EU, to dispose of a fire extinguisher it first must be empty as you demonstrated but it must also have the valve removed.
Idk it’s what they had. It was a yellowish powder
Very cool! Love the 360 content!
Thanks!
You do not need two kits to connect a track. You've optionally added a connector on the top of the rail; it's not necessary.
The track is not rigid with only 1. Yes it possible with one but for smooth operation without the saw catching while passing the seam you need 2. This makes it straight and it acts as one piece. I originally thought the same thing and only had 1.
Thank you so much. I have the same vents. I think I can install these.
Glad I could help
Use the right tool for the job.
I love this video. Very straightforward and to the point. Thank you!
Thanks
Jesus loves you God bless
Thank you for the detailed video. I’m about to do this for 4-6 closets. Coverting from sliding doors to French doors and I’ve never installed French doors, nor do I even know if they’re going to be standard sizing since the house doors are at least 30 years old.. but they want solid wood doors like you have. I’m doing it as a handy man, and I’m trying to determine how much I should charge per closet. Excluding material, how much would you have charged for your time?
It takes much longer when you custom do it so I would budget roughly about a half day per closet
Thank you! I bought the exact same one at Home Depot, but didn’t know how to open it!
Happy the video helped
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Thanks, cuz I didn’t have a clue as to how to separate the two pieces.
Glad it helped!
@@homehackshowtos Unless I missed it, there were NO instructions in the package.
Same here!
With lifetime warranty on battery. It's ok
True. Have you gone through the replacement process yet?
yes! i have both the older one is definitely rougher.
Thanks for sharing. True the newer ones won’t look as worn
