Though I haven’t tested the recipe without sorghum flour, but I believe it should work if you replace it with any other flour like oats/ ragi/ whole wheat flour.

there is something I don't understand: what is wrong with yeast? I searched for any reason to avoid yeast (cooked yeast I mean) and could not find it...
There is nothing wrong in baking a bread with yeast. I just prefer this bread over yeast bread because it’s easy to make and saves time.

Hi, can we add chia seeds instead of flax seeds?
I haven’t tried chia seeds in this recipe, so i can’t be sure if they provide the same texture as flaxseeds do.
Pls mention the bake timings for cooker/Kdahi ?
It might take 10-15 minutes more. But I can’t be sure. Make sure to check it with a toothpick, inserting in the centre of the bread. If it comes out clean, the bread is ready.

You can try any of them. But the cake would be slightly denser if not using wheat.

You will probably need to add eggs as a binding agent that can hold the ingredients and give the cake a structure.

It’s not necessary. You can grind on low speed for less time to avoid oil.

Looks to me this cake is steamed, not baked in the oven, but no water was added in the pan. And you can have it dry “baked”, on the stove for 60 minutes without burning ? That is amazing 😮!
Can you tell a substitute for jaggery ?? Can we use anything else for sugar that is natural ?? Please tell ..i have searched so many recipes and not found anything.??
If you like, you can use natural sweetener like stevia. It’s much more sweeter than jaggery so you might need a very little amount to replace jaggery in this recipe.
