14$ to park ... it’s disgraceful the costs and parking fees , never mind fines if you don’t pay ... to see natural wonders that were once FREE TO VISIT ... growing up in Hamilton I’m disgusted with this !
Watched the sunset from up there!
Great video and channel -- liked and subscribed!
In the fall it must be incredible.
Great video! Although bit too museum heavy in the 2nd half. I think including some hikes like Mer Bleue and other areas like Westboro and Lansdowne Park (farmer's market on Sundays) could've helped diversified the activities.
unfortunately, parking is too expensive to enjoy
l once bicycled there from St Catharines and met my ex and her brother who was visiting. another time the water flow was just right l swam over to under the falls and stood there while the water poured over me so refreshing. another time l organized a picnic with the people from work that was fun.
Wow! I grew up with high school friends, bike riding and camping at Balls Falls. This visitors center is proof someone had too much money to spend, a huge imposition on the landscape. It was being developed as a pioneer village, but that looks lost.
Very nice video. I live about an hour and a half drive from there and didn't know about it.
So you live in Toronto? along with about 4 million others.
@@MisterMister5893 No, I live close to London, Ontario with about one other.
Love your no nonsense approch to presenting useful info.Personal, informative and easy to digest. Congratulations
I stood on the edge in dry season was Amazing...
As you get older... your Ball's Falls. Every time I sit down, I have to be careful.
🙄
Also a very proud Hamiltonian!! Love all the places you listed, and there is a few I didn’t even know existed! Great video!
just found your youtube channel and enjoying the suggestions of exploring this beautiful province. thank you!~
That’s great to hear! Thanks
Excelent information 🎉🎉🎉❤
Good to hear thank you!
Yum yum yum 😋
I really enjoy all your post and informative videos 📷☺️
Have to disagree on this one. Overpriced and subpar for Italian food
As an Italian myself, I enjoyed it.
Not hidden by any means. Big sign on main road
I guess it’s not hidden if you just happen to be driving right by it lol
@@glasbo the main road from Toronto to Buffalo is QEW. It has signs for Ball’s Falls. The QEW is one of Ontario's busiest highways, with an average of close to 250,000 vehicles per day on some sections
I lived there for 35 years. I moved in 2021 after selling the house I bought in 2008 for $209 thousand for $ 899 thousand! It was a seller's market and I had to move for work. I enjoyed my time there but do not miss the never-ending LRT fiasco and expropriation of buildings that were still empty when I visited this past summer. I do miss a lot of the different food options ... no German food where I am now. Thank you for your video and the memories ✌
Glad I could bring back some memories! Thanks
Very enjoyable. I will have to visit someday.
There's a bit of a dark side to these falls. I grew up here, and if you live here long enough, you end up knowing someone who has lost their life to these cliffs.
I believe it. I grew up near Rattlesnake point and Mount Nemo and from time to time you'd hear about accidents.
Balls deep
Does anyone know if for parking lot A if you can buy a same-day parking pass?
You can pay on-site for the whole day when you arrive. Does that answer your question?
some great videos and new perspective on places i've been to or am near to - you've earned a new subscriber. cheers!
That's great to hear, thanks!
the niagara glen trail kind of sounds like the elora gorge - if you haven't been i would highly recommend checking it out and elora too! some nice camping there too
I agree! Both are beautiful and worth checking out.
you should review little canada in downtown toronto! i bet your kids would love it. i'm curious what expansions have been added since i was there a year ago. not sure if it's worth the splurge to go back yet
I've heard good things about that place. I was thinking about doing a video on smaller museums (and similar attractions) around Toronto and Little Canada would be included in that for sure. Thanks for mentioning it!
love the addition of the history of the location! keep that up in future videos!
Glad you appreciate it!
these videos are very useful to me as an autistic person living in toronto -i get easily overwhelmed going to new places, especially when they are loud and/or not straightforward to navigate. a lot of these newer developments don't have very helpful maps - like i was looking at the well and i had to confirm through looking at tiktoks whether or not the building could be accessed from wellington street. adding some visuals of what each entrance looks like as you walk through them i think would be a great addition to these videos. i hope you get to go to the port lands when the project is more finished next year! i was crying with joy seeing how beautiful it already is. i really appreciate these positive views and news about our wonderful city. i know there's a lot that's wrong but we have to remember how great of a place it really is to live.
That's a great suggestion. I'll keep you in mind when I'm filming and try to cover entrances and any other details that could be helpful for you. I've been keeping an eye on the Port Lands and I'll be making a trip out there soon! Keep the suggestions coming! Always appreciated.
Thanks for the video 😂
Excellent instruction video, thank you
Great to hear, thank you!
Looking at the lower falls from the drones perspective makes pretty clear why no one used to jump there. Looks awfully shallow at the bottom. One thing I do remember fondly, was ditching class when the water was high enough to dive off the upper falls. Now you can't even take a running jump because of that damn fence.
this cool guys make the drop with kayak ruclips.net/video/x5a0V73B5Yw/видео.htmlsi=PA_UDii5f-zKXO0R
I lived in the US for a while and one thing I noticed at regional, state and national parks was... no fences! When I came back home to Ontario I really noticed how fenced off everything is.. I get it but it's an eye sore and ruins a solid cliff jumping spot!
@ agreed. So I jumped on the fence and I yelled at the house "Hey! What gives you the right To put up a fence to keep me out
Awesome video
Thanks!
Thank you soo much for doing Justice for Ottawa.
Glad to hear from someone positive. I've noticed a lot of negativity towards this city in the comments section. I thought it was great!
Of course you can't mention the market without mentioning the homeless people 😂
Awesome video, thank you! I visited the Canadian side 8 years ago, a daytrip from Toronto. I think I should travel again soon and stay a few days to visit both sides and all the attractions! 🤩
Thanks glad you enjoyed it. The experience from the US and CA sides are surprisingly different. Worth checking out both sides for sure!
You have to include Nordik spa in Chelsea. Sure it's a lil drive but it's a world class spa. I have yet to go to a spa that tops this.
Interesting! Thanks for the info.
If you’ve never been to Ottawa the sure it has a good amount of stuff to do but if you’ve been there for more than a couple weeks you run out of stuff.
Live in ottawa and to tell you the city is very boring and terribly layed out. The lrt is extremely unreliable as is the Bus system
Do you think they should have totally enclosed the walkway areas in glass so it was warm year round?
Personally I think I like it the way it is. If they did enclose the whole thing than it would just be a mall. I think leaving it open air gives it some atmosphere and connection to the rest of the city. Obviously during the winter it's not going to be as comfortable, but stores and restaurants on the regular city streets seem to do just fine so I don't see why The Well can't be successful as it is now. I guess that's my two cents lol. What's your take on it??
Depending when you come there are also seasonal activities. Winter has Winterlude and skating on the canal. Summer there's hot air balloon rides and helicopter rides.
I've been to Ottawa three times in my life, and always in the summer. I'd love to skate on the canal and check out Winterlude one day!
would be great to see you sample some of the food and comment on it directly :D
you forgot to mentjon the #1 best thing to do while youre in toronto leave
❤❤
Nice ! Visiting from Scotland in 2 weeks , will be heading here for some of that good stuff. Thanks ! Subbed
Amazing! Enjoy your time here. Reach out if you have questions about Toronto/ Niagara/ Ontario.
it's changed a bit since I last visited there ...in 1975 !!
And it's apparently due to change again with new renovations planned.

I just try to show it accurately. It's a beautiful town and area, without a doubt.
There is friendship Cove, and there is arctic Cove there to separate things
