    Nice video! That's a northern watersnake. They're non-venomous.

I was there sept 7, last week. About 49 ppl were at the grotto sunning. Barely anyone anywhere else. We also saw a snake but it was swimming. Arrived at noon. Swam. Beautiful spot in the world for sure. He is correct. Enjoy the grotto but keep walking up the beach. It’s awesome. Inland is nice too though.

If you want fewer crowds, try the next hike down the coast and book "Halfway Log Dump". Very rugged and challenging hike along the bluffs of Georgian Bay. Far fewer crowds, great views, strenuous hike, but no Grotto.

Ya it’s beautiful. Halfway Log Dump is another spot worth checking out. It’s a little further south in the park.

I lived in the Georgian Bay Area for the past few years 2021 to early this year. Beautiful beautiful area it’s a shame i didn’t get to check out this place before I left due to business reasons and finding somewhere more affordable.

I remember I was one of those that scaled the cliffs down, but then took the hole back up and squeezing my way through the hole always felt uncomfortable for me. But now, I don't even climb down anymore, let the kids and new arrivals have that experience. Although I'll admit having been an avid hiker/camper since the 90s (thanx to my dad), I miss the days when parks were not so over crowded.

The word "indian" is still a legal term in Canada, and not a derogatory in proper context.
The term “Indian” refers to the legal identity of a First Nations person who is registered under the Indian Act.
