Michael Jordan - 49pts vs Hardaway & Mullin's Warriors (1993)
Просмотров 2444 месяца назад
Whether it was facing up, pulling up or simply in the post, MJ's jumper here was on automatic. He finished with a torrid 49 and every point was needed vs this Warriors club. They weren't Run TMC, but Chris Mullin & Tim Hardaway were high octane and could still pile it on quick (the Warriors finished 3rd in points scored that year). Both players just came off making an All-NBA team and were late...
Michael Jordan - 38pts, "FLU GAME" vs Jazz (1997 NBA Finals)

The legendary "Flu game". Its well known that Jordan actually had food poisoning. The fact is, though, he was physically taxed here. Ailing all game, MJ scores 38 points and comes through in the clutch - like only he could.
Michael Jordan - 46pts vs Knicks, Clutch Everywhere (1996 ECSF, Gm 3)
Просмотров 58 тыс.3 года назад
Early in the 96 Playoffs, Jordan had back issues that slowed him down a bit. Watching here you wouldn't have thought so. In spite of the Bulls shooting woes, MJ's jumper and killer clutch play were rampant. He finished the game with 46 points on a pretty good 48% shooting, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Knicks - who played a well-rounded game. This was New York's 1 and only win of the ser...

Michael Jordan - 38pts vs Hornets, Vicious Dunk on Zo Mourning (1993)
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.3 года назад
*re-uploaded for better quality* Bulls lose in the final seconds, but this performance was ALL about Jordan. Here we see highlight after highlight including a ridiculous poster on Zo (MJ had 3 dunks in total that would've made the Top 10 in ONE YEAR). Mike finishes the game with 38 points on an efficient 15-27 shooting.

Michael Jordan - 39pts vs Hawks, Returns after sprained ankle (1993 Playoffs, closeout)
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.3 года назад
Many players would have taken this game for granted or "mailed it in" after an injury. Not Jordan though. Notwithstanding a bad sprain, MJ finished with an efficient 39 points and hit dagger after another ensuring the win. Watching and revisiting this game, I believe Mike was determined to prove what was what and who was who against his old foe, Dominique Wilkins. What more dominant way than in...

Only his 8th game back after a 17 month layoff - here's Mike giving it to Jersey. Yeah he couldn't buy a shot to begin the game, going 1-11 from the field, but that all changed in the second half. Quick. Jordan scores 30 of his 37, catching fire and hitting all net. Chicago wins a close game.

Rare game vs Houston and Mike's first win against Hakeem. If you followed Jordan's career, you would know they were hard to come by ESPECIALLY in Houston. This one took a great effort from MJ along with a perfect 4th quarter - he finished with 34pts, 7reb, 6ast, 4stl and 2blks. www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/198711280HOU.html (1988 season)

Fantastic video. But to anyone who wants to watch the best MJ highlight reel that encompasses The total package, then there are 2 videos that You need to watch. "Michael Jordan Voyager's part 1 and 2. Part one is only about 15 minutes, and part 2 is only about 3 minutes That highlight video displays that MJ has the greatest layup package EVER, it also especially highlights the hang time in the paint, the and 1's, Palming, fakes, no look passes etc. It's got a lot of young MJ. The 2nd MJ video is "Michael Jordan's historic bulls mixtape" which displays Michael Jordan in game dunks and posters over every great big of the '80s and '90s. It's kind of a chronological highlight video which starts with rookie MJ, and ends with 98 3peat MJ. But besides the dunks, it also displays a lot of his clutch plays, incredible playoffs and finals performances, buzzer beaters, shot blocks, steals, and fast breaks. Anyone who watches those two videos one after the other should automatically know he's the GOAT without even needing to know his career stats, records and trophies. If you haven't seen them, I urge you to search on RUclips for "Michael Jordan Voyager" part 1, and part 2. And "Michael Jordan historic bulls mixtape". The stuff you see in these videos will have you saying OH MY G... AND HOLY S... After pretty much every play.

In 1988, MJ became the first player ever to win the scoring title (at 35ppg on 54% FG%), defensive player of the year becoming the first to have over 200 steals and 100 blocks, regular season MVP, All Star game MVP scoring a then All Star game record 40 points with 8 rebounds, 4 steals, 4 blocks, and his usual clutch shooting down the stretch. 🐐🥇

@@FeezFBaby Silly rhetorical question kid. I also neglected to mention that he also won the dunk contest in ‘88 too. Idk if you were alive, but he learned from the brutal fights and dirty Pistons tactics. Two years after ‘88, he won his first chip and 7th straight scoring title. And he did go on to go 6 for 6 in the Finals while setting the record for most regular season wins while also winning a chip (2nd most ever to Golden State who didn’t win a chip that year). 6 MVP’s in 6 Finals. Led the Finals in scoring every year he was in it. All time ppg leader in playoff, Finals, and regular season history. The Bulls never went to a game 7 during that entire run except vs the Knicks in 1992…where the Bulls went on to win the only game 7 in all 6 title runs by over 30 points. And he’s still the only player EVER to accomplish the feat I mentioned in the original comment - just add that to the list.

I did some research and yea, Jordan barely wore the Jordan 1. Tbh, I think it's the thought that counts. Yea, he wore the Airships, since the AJ1 wasn't finished yet, but all the pictures and old ads of young Michael with the Jordan 1 is so iconic. I think most people would choose the Air Jordan 1 over the airships. Jordan did also wear the Jordan 1 in that one game where his foot was bleeding, and he still won. Although, I see where you are coming with this and it's definitely valid, but it kinda devalues the sneaker a little bit. But other than that, cool vid!

Eaton 3.8 blocks + .5 steals es igual a 4.3 defensive stops 🛑 per game Ewing 3.5 blocks + 1.5 steals es igual a 5.0 defensive stops 🛑 per game Olajuwon 3.4 blocks + 2.6 steals es igual a 6.0 defensive stops 🛑 per game I mean, Olajuwon had to look like Godzilla on defense in comparison to Ewing and Eaton looking like tall trees of mass stature thick fortitude... but Olajuwon was like a nuclear lizard dinosaur just magnetic 🧲🧭 to the ball 🏀 anywhere dangerously laying around him.

If they called the close out fouls back then, Jordan would have averaged 40-45ppg. Put him in today’s NBA with these rules & he would average 50-55 easily, that’s no exaggeration. When these nowadays critics claim that these late 80s & 90s guys were plumbers, it shows how disconnected they are. Those players in that era were in shape, super athletic and highly skilled. The defensive strategies were intense and the rules were typically not enforced: hand checking, pushing, etc. Even when Jordan was playing & the dissenters claimed he got ridiculous calls, they were simply hating. If the refs called fouls every time Jordan was slapped, pushed, hit, etc-not only would he average 45ppg, the game would have exceeded 2.5 hours
