What is the mission of married couples?
Join Archbishop Smith as he discusses the sacrament of marriage in Scripture, divorce and annulment, how marriage is meant to be a witness to communion in an era of division, and his thoughts on what a couple can do when their relationship is struggling.
On September 14, the Archdiocese of Edmonton launched its new pastoral priorities and our third priority is “Formation for Service to Families and Marriage.” We pray that this episode would continue the work of serving families and married couples in our community and forming all of us in a deeper understanding of God’s vision for married and family life.

God gave us "Free Will". We have a God given right to stay or go. We all die..I support Maid. Those who do not know someone else's pain physically and emotionally have no right to say its beautiful to be alive. It's easy to say there's help and support when there is not. If someone wants to leave they are shamed and it makes it worse. No matter religion many people don't have support/family/money/friends. Everyone has a choice to stay or go. God gave us free will

Whenever any religious men talk about marriage they need to also that there are situations that a woman's life can be in danger if partner is mad or violent DV. So balance it out with being too heavenly and not having one's feet in reality. Be great if marriages all worked out but that just is not real life. Moses asked for Divorce in O/T. Yes, remember that Adam and Eve fell into sin, so we are not perfect.

What ever is convenient at a particular place and time The Revalation through History doctrine allows teaching to change without any uncomfortable issues with passed religious leaders. One moment the Vatican undertakes capital punishment - 1840s was the last and the next you don't have excommunicate the President of France in 1970s. We can or can not accept medical termination of pregnancy - that is a vexed issue. We have the don't ask don't tell about marrying divorced parishioners. In the Cold War Western nuclear deterrence is a necessary evil, then we don't like USN nuclear submarines being called the Body of Christ. IVF emerges so we need a policy on that. We can have married priests then we can't. That the majority of parishioners wouldn't know a Trinity if they fell over it. The parishioners don't even know the Bible has 80 or 81 books if we include Enoch. And we can just change the interpretation of the inconvenient bits of the Bible ... The first line saying In [a] beginning is best avoided. Who knows what Bishops will teach in any given week - doesn't matter as we parishioners just ignore what they say.

The problem I have is they deviate from the Bible enough to confuse people who don’t read it. I had people say. I didn’t know Veronica was the Lady that hemorrhaged for seven years. I said that’s because the Bible doesn’t say that. I didn’t know that Mary gave birth to other Children. That’s because there are no words for relatives. In Hebrew and Aramaic they all were called brothers and sisters. Mary remained a virgin. The men said to be the brothers of JESUS, were named as Son’s of others, in the other gospels. Mother Mary was given over to John’s care at the cross, because She had no other Children. I say, stay away from the confusion. There are movies Like The Gospel of John, that fallow the Bible word for word.

It's so lame how so-called Catholics are obsessed with this show. It's so bad. It is 100% Protestant. Why would Catholics use Proteatant religious fiction for evangelization? I couldn't watch any further after we saw an episode in which Peter and his wife were talking about starting a family. That is 100% secular Protestant mi diet about marriage and family. My wife and I laughed so hard after that scene and turned it off. Peter and his wife would not have discussed like 21st century decadent Americans about when to start a family. Not having children was a curse then. I am surprised they made it a month without his wife being pregnant. The satanic Islamic hordes are better on this issue than modern Catholics. So lame Catholics watch this tripe

In the Chosen, when the Lord changed water into wine, why did they have Jesus remove everyone from the room? This is not in the Scriptures and has no value, only if they are trying to create doubt in the actual miracle that took place. There was no actual benefit to the story by having everyone leave when He performed the miracle.

This entire production is MORMON MADE! Yhey dont believe that Jesus is the Son of God! They believe thst eventually they will beckme Gods themselves! The 3 days is a Jewish tradition that says that it takes three days for the soul to completely leave the body. Lazarus had to be really dead for the full effect of the resurrection in the Jewish context. Jesus himself was three days in the grave before he was resurrected! It’s important not to lose tract of the Jewishness of Jesus in context.

Jesús didn’t go for Lazarus because He wanted for his disciples to know that He is The Way, The Truth and The Life. Similar but a bit different was with John the Baptist, He was called to go, but He didn’t go, cause John had accomplished his mission and the disciples had to see what you sometimes have to do to follow Jesus, especially in the Apostles case because they were going to be martyred except John.
