      Thanks for watching. Ia m really enjoying the Bobcat. It's a blessing to have the capability it offers. I'll say the Kubota is very nice. It's a tough decision, but I think I made the right one considering the lift capacity. I have over 40 hours on it and no issues. So convenient. I am looking to get a rotary cutter for it.

    Nice truck , but I don’t think the main reason people delete is for fuel mileage. Mainly for longevity of the engine. Pull the upper and lower intake manifold off and look at all the soot and crap packed in there. My opinion is these trucks won’t last like they used to pre- DPG / EGR regulations. They definitely over complicated them that’s for sure. Hope yours last years like I’ve also hear them lasting with no delete. Main thing is they like to be used and used hard for all the emissions components to work properly. We have guys around here that drive one to work and maybe kids sports games and have issues bc they never drive long are hard enough to even get the temps high enough for regen to kick in.

    • @ModernCountryLiving
      @ModernCountryLiving 2 месяца назад

      Emissions is the weak link for sure. It's also here to stay. So, the technology has improved and the longevity has improved. I am not stuck in the past. I think a cleaner environment is important. Are bottles of DEF good? No. But we know how to handle bottles of plastic. We all breathe in air and I appreciate not seeing belching black smoke and Nox causing problems. Thanks for watching! I appreciate the comments.

    Any way you could explain or show how you made your connections for the horn to function. I have a 2023 F550 that I'm going to install train horns on and like you I want the trains horns to only be on with the upfitter switch.

    • @ModernCountryLiving
      @ModernCountryLiving 2 месяца назад

      Two up fitter switches used. 1.) Air pump. A solenoid used that ties into the pressure switch circuit for the air pump to work if signal for air is needed by the tank switch. I found that you do NOT want to run the full power for the compressor through the air tank switch. Run a dedicated power line from battery. 2.) A solenoid that is tied into up fitter and receives signal from horn. So, when up fitter is on to blast air horn...it sends a signal to the air horn relay to open air valve. I tapped into existing horn circuit in front of vehicle such that if up fitter is ON and horn button is pressed - signal to regular horn is made AND signal to open air valve to let air flow from tank. You can find some schematics online that help.

    Sir, you are an inspiration ! You have made a miraculous update to your boat. My 1985 Seafarer 226 is still original with the transom cutout because I'm not much of a project guy. But I love how your modification worked out. In particular, it adds over a foot of length to the cockpit with easier access to the rear swim platform/engine mount. That could be a really nice location for a bait prep/filet table that could double as a kitchenet for overnighting. We usually put the porta potty back there when overnighting in the cabin. I have considered raising the windshield too but found it was simpler to just add large clear plastic swing down "sun visors". These are hinged to the hard top instrument cabinet to serve as wind and spray shield when needed. Just keep them well coated in RainX. We can raise or lower the seat to get optimum visibility. This preserves the lines of the boat which are still great looking and continued on Grady Whites newest models.

    • @ModernCountryLiving
      @ModernCountryLiving 2 месяца назад

      Thanks for commenting! It was a labor of love and a great project. Not sure if you saw all the steps, but it was intense. :) I enjoyed using the boat but I did sell it last year. Our family's interests changed and I saw declining use. It was hard to see the boat sit. I found a couple who were downsizing from a 36' boat and then fell in love with the Grady. I have no regrets. Resurrected a classic and while maintaining some classic features, I also made it into something with excellent performance.

    Nice tractor! I am really wanting to find a way to justify going to the T5. I feel like the electronic rear ends offer a lot of flexibility (at the expense of more electronics for many), but the price vs the Powerstar is tough to swallow. I also strongly dislike diverter 3rd functions, but personal preference there (same issue with the Powerstar too). Seems like there are some live 3rd kits out there. I'm looking for a capable hay tractor that I can use for a long time though.

      I understand the thoughts on the front diverter. It was a sacrifice and I'm now used to it. 100 hours and still a happy camper with a ton of loader work making up that 100 hours.

    Thanks for the detailed video. You mind letting me know which torque wrench you use? I can’t seem to fit mine in the tight spots I need to. And a smaller one won’t torque to the weight recommended. Thanks!
