AHHH, CorruptedPage is a friend I've supported for a long time in as many ways as I can!! She's such a great artist and a wonderful friend. She always does an amazing job, but the way she drew Calliope is so beautiful!! In Ye Olden Days(tm) it was very common for artists to recreate other artist's paintings because they liked the idea, and I think that's cool! They weren't getting nervous about alleged copying or anything, because copying was seen as a form of flattery. It showed that the artist went to all the trouble of painting their own version of the idea because they thought it was so neat. I agree with this philosophy a lot more than the whole debate about whether referencing is cheating or whatever. As long as you're not tracing, it's totally reasonable to reference imo :) Anyways, wow so much pretty art in this video!!! and it's only the first half of the last week?? wow, you are moving at the speed of light right now ^^' I've been working on the same attack for probably 5 days at this point, lol. I don't know if I could pick out a favorite drawing from this video, but I definitely like the mood of the last one! It feels very glowy and mysterious :))

Theres not such thing as original ideas and we artists are all tapestries of who we look up to for art. I learned how to do dynamic poses from a friend, eyes from the RUclipsr drawingwiffwaffles, I learned hair from Scott Cristian Sava and expressions from Overly Sarcastic Productions. Being shady about it is one thing but inspiration is natural and all artists are gonna take things like line weight and color value and make their own.

So many Art Fight babies this week!! All the art is so good!! Ahhh chef's kiss!! I love the idea of a DnD campaign being set in an anime! Thats so unique!! And I fully stand with Terrapin. YAY! It’s time for cozy speed paints again!

First

Oh my eight drawings! I knew it were many but EIGHT! Of course I did a little bit for Artfight stalking because I cannot control myself so I did see Kalliope and immediately fell in love with her design. Knowing that she likes to bask in the sun like a (very big) lizard fills my little heart with so much joy c: Ohh ohh dragon transformation we do like that (is that a clear reference? I don't wanna say spoilers just in case anyone reads these comments XD) You made her look so pretty and you're right, the scales are very satisfying to see. Oh I just noticed I really should contain myself at least a little bit or this comment could become it's own video essay O.o Okay let's try to just say one or two sentences about the things I like most! Oh Rei is so fun, such a great pose showing of their engineering. I always love seeing any kind of interaction poses and personally I (as someone who wasn't really aware about Kobolds before Fing) think that you're doing a great job drawing Kobolds! The scales and snouts just look so nice in your art style c:< Oh no what a chaotic day- But alas we all do have these days and we still get so see that rest of the drawing process! Okay that is some fancy backstory! There's so much to unpack and I can only imagine my excitement as a DM to play into all of that. The mid transformation is so fun and probably said it many times but I just love seeing you add shadows and magically giving depth to the drawings! Also the green glowing details are just the cherry on top! I wish I knew more about flower symbolism and symbolism in general because as someone who makes playlists and Pinterest boards for their characters I am very much a sucker for that but my small brain cannot remember all the imagery and meaning X’D But the pose did turn out great, we love some dynamic (Pinterest) poses! Plus the purple and yellow colour palette just looks lovely T^T Ahhh Surreal Thing! The other attack I've looked at before watching this video! Honestly I love everything about this piece, the body type, the pose you gave her referencing famous art combined together with pop culture and animation legends as Paprika! I love art in general but seeing and getting to know all of the ideas and inspiration that went into a piece are just extra special! Honestly I am surprised that I've only drawn two dnd (a Witcher rpg to be correct) this fight, they just scratch a certain itch- Also I love listening to you retelling some fun dnd shenanigans XD I am obsessed with your rendering of Sariel’s face. This fight I've been getting more and more comfortable and happy with my own rendering of faces so I especially appreciate you're subtle and soft yet very clear shading of the face, the beautiful eyes and the soft lips T^T “Dahlias evolve kinda like Eves!” that is such a great way to work with personas since yes of course a persona is one aspect of you more or less alike but always an image of what you want to present so it just makes sense describe it that way! I am always in awe when I see people being good at mixed media. I live digital art and what you can archive with it but getting similar effects with traditional art just requires so much skill and care! I love who you say you cannot use saturated colours or shy away from them and I believe you feeling that way (I have the same feeling) but every time you do such an amazing job with them! Ah yes duality of drawing muscular ladies in armour or pretty women in fancy dresses, we all struggle with this- I might be confusing it or it's just amazing naming conventions but every way sparks is such a good name for powers and all the names of the specific powers are soo mmmhh- Also yes Diamond is an amazing character to draw in “ye old webtoon style” which I do love to see. I am a big big fan of seeing your beautifully painted style but sometimes you just need a pretty boy in lineart! “He's not even the main character” truly I am so happy so see different characters in a story all have different goal and motivation. It makes me want to actually finally get my own comic out there! Also I do understand eight drawings are fricking insane! I am extremely excited to be finished 5 attacks this whole fight! XD I am on my way to work currently (apparently the most quiet time I have for some reason) and I just smiled while standing on the ferry from your compliments. I didn't remember in with video my attack had to be so I was jumpscare in the best possible way XD I'm just glad you like my little attack since I had so much fun with it. Thank you for showing all the attacks you get and sharing the artists social media links I love to check them all out! <3 What did I say about the length of this? This is horrendous and I need to go back to a more normal comment length XD

I wanna preface this by letting you know that you're the only person from my subscription list on RUclips my girlfriend actually likes to watch. I watch a lot of English content and I think she dislikes how many of them talk but she likes listening to you c; Oh and for that week I haven stalked your Artfight profile quite as much so some of these attacks surprised me which was fun (I don't have the patience tho to not look at your beautiful art early XD) You drew Phenna so fun! I'm a huge fan of “fake exploration books” where the scientists in them write about magical creatures and that's the vibe I'm getting besides DnD! They give a bit of dragon and I personally think dragons are quite close to cats (httyd has formed me). Okay so first of all for Eden: as per usual I love the pose! It's so fun and light on one hand but strict and strong as well! I'm still extremely torn on which of DragonDoodles characters I should draw as a revenge (even if that's happening outside the fight). But Eden is a great fit for you! You can tell that you had a lot of fun with the design and the drawing! c:< I am a sucker for you drawing draped fabrics and shiny metals so this is just a multiple win situation haha Ohh and the background illustration is so good as well! The character stands out so nicely and the shiny eye symbols look amazing T^T I don't look a lot at photography from the Olympics specifically but I live looking at ballet and dancing photos (and ofc strong women boxing). Honestly watching Yuri on Ice for the sole purpose of seeing how it's animated is very noble I think. In my memory the figure skating animation was absolutely gorgeous so extremely fair. I don't watch a lot of anime anymore but I'd loved to see the movie in comparison animation wise I'm sure it'd have looked real cool. I love taking what aspects you find most important/ noticeable to an outfit and using them to make something new. You did such a great job and it really does look like the same character! As some Drawfee quote says rim-lighting is the just the easiest and one of the most nice looking effects you can do and I'm so glad I remembered it this year (also I don't know what they actually said, something along those lines probably two years ago but oh well XD) I love the little “What you got there background flashing up right as you mention it, it's so good! XD And having supportive parents who will be your subject for reference is such a blessing! “But Tonic has Stockholm syndrome” is another raw and perfect quote truly if you continue like that someday I'll have to make a quote compilation myself XD Okay but the two of them together just become adorable and very silly in the best possible way T^T I cannot express my love for Greg They are perfect. You're drawings of them are perfect and I am so in love with the rendering style you used. God I have to stop, this comment is already so so long but all the attacks you've gotten are so lovely and all these people who think they are safe are not. I will find their profiles after the fight ends and shower their characters in appreciation! I think Artfight is another way of the universe telling me that I have to build a better social media presence myself. I do love the two attacks I've gotten this year but I'm greedy and I want more more people to see my characters and like and draw them T^T I can't wait to consume the next video as well this evening O.o haven't gotten around to printing out all my attacks and defenses but I think displaying them somewhere would be really neat!

WHAaaaa so much pretty art in this one!! I got mildly freaked out upon hearing the surname Xiloscient though lol, because one of the big bads in an on-hold dnd campaign I'm in had that last name, and whenever any NPC mentioned it it meant bad news. :'D (it makes sense though because it's an official dnd Elven surname. I just thought it was funny). Anyway fun video!! artfight is almost over!! wow!! I'm actually reminded that I can paint traditionally so I should really try it out before the artfight season is over this year >.>

Oh My YEs! Des is one of my OCs packed with symbolism. (Its stems from how i made her was randomly rolling a cleric subclass then making a design from that. The first image on her page actually is the page i did/wrote down things on her page. (I Got Death but Grave fits her better with how she ended up as). - Daffodils and lilies are also verry tied too death, but rebirth and hope too. (If you want a song that's good at demonstrating it "Daffodil Lament from the Cranberries is really good.) - Grey and Purple in some cultures also are tied to death so I took it from their, but they work really well with the yellow (Complimentary pallet quite literally). - Moths are also tied to death and I decided to go that direction since crows&others were kinda more cliche especially with dnd. They also work with the oposing light side where they seek it out but cannot fully embrace it lest they be left vunreble (IE. Why the death god is a Grave Domain vs Death Domain)( The difrence for those who don't know, Grave is about keeping the berrier of life and death where the death domain involves undeath). Moths are also prominent example for showing natural selection. so it kinda plays in there too. (the rundown for why is, Moth in a IRL town were white to match the birch but then coal mine and smog issues turned the trees black so then the black mutations made it more survivable so the moths turned black) - Farm/Corn. Originally she also had corn in her design. A Symbol for death, especially unexpected. This then influenced into being farm related and let a good avenue to have a scythe not just for the classic reaper symbolism. -WIth her name their is a little bit more! It took me a LONG time to figure what to call her. What felt right. So i looked into things. Asphodel poped up as a potential name, a little funny because aside from the symbolism it is actually the origin of Dafodils being called Dafodils. (I think it was tied to dutch languages saing De Affodil?? if i remember right) I also found the name Des in my surching. It meaning Fate and being from a latin word for to determine (also latin word origin of destiny i beleive). Anways the whole Des Asphodel -> Dafodil was so good and just worked to well even if a lil corny. Any waysssss, originally she was just a design with little backstory but things fell into place with how to do her backstory. A Lot of it being Imagry! A decent just what i thought up with the song "Wade In the Water." A song I did in chior a long time back (not the same version as the one i used). The version by the Iowa State Singers is what i added to my playlist and it felt right for des after the fact. BUT YES Your quit Spot on!!! I only have a handful that go alot deeper in symbolism. (Kawatare being the most). Jeffery and his wife Jazz also know des and worship the same god but i dont think i linked them to Des. Jeffery has a little, and they have a funny story why they exist. Anywhoo EXCELENT ARTWORK! SO COOL AMAZING TO SEE ALL THE PEOPLES!!!
