The Mizo people and the Kra-Dai people share a common ancestry and linguistic heritage. Some points that highlight the connection between the Mizo and Kra-Dai people include: - Linguistic similarities: The Mizo language belongs to the Kuki-Chin branch of the Tibeto-Burman language family, which has borrowed significantly from the Kra-Dai language family. - Cultural similarities: Both groups share similar customs, traditions, and practices, such as their strong tribal identities and ancestral worship. - Historical connections: The Mizo people have historical ties with the Kra-Dai-speaking peoples of southern China and Southeast Asia, with migration and trade occurring between these regions. - Genetic similarities: Studies have found genetic affinities between the Mizo people and Kra-Dai-speaking populations, suggesting a shared ancestry.

Yes, we Khasis follow the matrilineal system but the man is still the head of the family, more so, the maternal uncle. We trace out lineage through our mother’s side of the family and inheritance is given to women of the family, specifically the last-born daughter (although in modern times, this is slowly changing and some families give equal inheritance to both sons and daughters). But all in all, we still follow the patriarchal system where the men are still the leaders in our society and our ethnic religion.

Yes! southern china was part of the ancestral domain of austronesian people and part of the austronesian hegemony (taiwan, vietnam, philippines, malaysia, indonesia, etc)

Faking description for the Chinese occupying of our land ! ! In face, Cantonese was a part of Loc Viet that its centre was from Guang Xi . and Cantonese was Han style till Tang Danasty , Cantonese called own Tang Ren oversea. Further, Cantonese DNA are close to Staug ( Thai),(35%) Viet ( 55 %and up ), and only less than 5% of The Chinese Han. Therefore, the Cantonese is not the Chinese ! whatever its language , culture, custom , face looking and DNA . are totally different from the Chinese Han !

I already observe genetics, languange, script, dialect, culture, ancient artifact, historical record and I can understand that all people in China region actually one big family, and genetically closely related, has same common anchestor. The Origins of different culture and dialect came because splitting from different ancient dynasty era, one group in certain area keeping dialect and culture from one dynasty, and other group keeping other dynasty era dialect and culture, but actually north and south actually same Chinese from same ancient anchestor.

I can tell when one says hokkien vs teochew but when I speak, I just mixed them and my mom says I butchered the two languages. So both are southern min.
