Rec is 15-200 which doesn't really mean anything these days. You can push these plenty loud with nearly any receiver on the market.
We did receive a new modem from Verizon. We are in the Apple universe.
If things don't work after you get a new modem, you may need to re-network your Sonos ecosystem if the SSID/PW are different (this is the same with any network-attached device). If the SSID and PW are the same, you may need to power-cycle the Sonos devices and this may make them recognize the new modem.
Everything worked fine until we got a new internet provider . How it’s hell.
Did you get a new modem from them? If not, who is the provider?
Yeah well, today nothing worked, so I factory reset every single one, reset my router, port forwarded the router, deleted the app, installed the app, and tried to add a new system because there is no system on the app anymore, my wireless Play 1's and my gen 2 and 3 sub appear, but not my Soundbar, I believe one of the if not the first one. Okay, well, I try to add one Sonos Play 1 speaker, it goes through, finds it, connects, lets me enter the wifi password, and lets it complete, but now it says "It may not be seen in your system" bla bla. also if I click on the system it doesn't show any system or speakers that I just connected, Okay so I think it will solve itself once I connect the second speaker, now what happens next is I do the same steps, but once I am going to type the EXACT same password I just used for the first one, it just says "Make sure to use the right connection/password. like WTF is going on! I can't get this to work, and I can't just call Sonos support, I live in Denmark, it will cost me a fortune to call an American number, just to maybe not even get anything fixed. I'm getting really tired of this bullshit and your stupid software updates that break a perfectly working system every single time! with a system for all this money there should not be problems!
Sonos system is a disaster
I totally agree Mario. I just spent hours trying to add a 2nd sonos speaker and now both sonos speakers fail and the latest sonos app fails to open on my iphone! This guy's video is useless too!
Yep once these are all functioning again both my systems will be up for sale .
An issue I am having now is that I cannot connect via AirPlay to my Eras100... I can connect to my other Sonos (One SL, Five, Ikea Frames), but not to the Eras100. Although I can play music from the Sonos App...
Update your phone, update Sonos, power-cycle both and try again.
I have the same issue today . My era 100 mini sub and one sl's are all history . Neither Android or Apple work . All resets and updates done . Totally over all of this
@@mikeelkios436 What kind of router are you using? Sonos definitely floundered the app initially BUT we install Sonos every day and we aren't seeing these problems. What kind of router are you using and do you use Sonos in multiple locations or households (ex: work, friend's house, etc.)?
Sons are the worst system i have ever had. I have had it for about 5 years and used it about 3% of that time. Shocking.

Need to see detailed review of Q meta towers compared to it’s predecessors
Since a few days I am experiencing connectivity issues between my wifi network and my KEF LSX II speakers, this following a simple password change which suppose reconfiguring the connection with the speakers. I followed the constructor instructions, then the technical support instructions and finally Reddit's comments advices all of these without success. Still waiting for further feedbacks from support. So far my KEF LSX II could not be reconnected and thn are not operational at all.
Did you just change the password OR did you get a new router/gateway and you are using the same SSID and a different password? If you got a new router, it could be multiple things. If it is the same router and you just changed the password, roll back the firmware if a firmware update was done on the router. If you are 100% that the router wasn't updated and it is the same piece, factory-default the LSX II. This should work.
@airetheaterdesigns I did a password change and I already did a factory reset several times, without success !
My problem is finally solved after a few weeks, thanks to a comment found on Reddit. Here is the alternative procedure for connecting LSX II speakers to wifi when it is not/no longer possible to do it directly from the KEF Connect application. Connect the master speaker to the box using an Ethernet/RJ45 cable, locate the IP address of the speaker from the application then connect to it via a browser (IP). From the page that appears, go to the Network Settings section and the Wireless Settings subsection. Select the 5Ghz network (for my part) and enter the wifi password. I stayed in DHCP. Once the connection has been successfully configured, you can unplug the ethernet cable then activate the wifi connection from the home page of the mobile application.

Actually, there’s about 1 billion bytes of info. History, build design, sound quality and what you’ll hear, difference between streaming platforms, difference in the DSP and how that relates to different speakers and the room, difference in the sound calibration systems, etc.
I head KEF for the first time today and boy i think they sound like crap for the price they go for. Dont waste your money until u listen to many different brand

Nice informative video, but something amiss with the info.................there is no list of things on the sidebar of my RUclips on Apple TV, only my avatar, a search button and a home button.............no subscriptions, movies, tv shows or any other options!
There should be a vertical strip with all the options. You are trying to use RUclips...not RUclips TV...correct? If so, you may have an ancient Apple TV that no longer supports RUclips (replace it) OR try deleting and re-adding the RUclips app again. One of these two options should get you rocking.

I know this is a strange comparison… I have a pair for s400 mkii buchardts for music (love them) want to start building something out for my tv. Looking at R3 metas (not a huge room) but a pair of ML esl X just popped up for a great price on facebook marketplace… How would you compare the two…

Love the video. Any update since March? Picked up these guys to replace my eero pro 6, looking forward to it!
No real update aside from they rock and do a much better job than the PRO6Es in many regards, ESPECIALLY in larger homes where there may be roaming during video calls, Zoom, etc.

Crazy to me how people spend so much money on hardware only to pay more for features that should have been included to begin with. Stop supporting subscription based products. Otherwise, they will make it a norm.
To find channels with streaming is pretty easy...just do a search for the channel you want to watch. Good video regardless

If only Sonos had mobile tech support given the amount of issues that can develop.
Fortunately that's where we come in as long as people are in the So Cal area and have $$$.
Maybe not a great choice if you already have trouble hearing dialogue clearly?
Turning Dolby off won't affect vocals. It will affect the rear effects (changing from stereo and full-range to a limited band and single channel). However, the effects on the center will be unchanged.
I have been using Yamah since 2011, and recently, I purchased Marantz stereo amp, but yamaha is far better in terms of sound quality and features than marantz . Yamaha has a more detailed sound .

Thanks much. Apologies for not using the link. I had already ordered the 7s. Hard for me to see 2 doing the job because we have one. in the basement just serving the AV equipment down there - Sonos units, etc. We have FIOs so we have use Verizon's router and then the Eeros is after that. i was listening to a podcast about some wifi speeds of 600 they were talking about. I get that on direct connections but I've never gotten better than 250mb/s and usually much slower than that. That's why I bought this. I guess now that I think of it, I have 5 6es - One in the basement, one on the first floor and three upstairs. So if you're saying that I shouldn't have 6s and 7s together, I'm guessing I'll have to buy more than the 3 I ordered. But I'll try with these three and see what happens. - thanks again.
thank you for this review. I currently have 4 Eero 6e units. Is it your opinion, from your experience, that I will get faster wifi if I replace each of the eero 6e units with a 7? Or even add 3 7's without removing the 6s? My wife and I both work at home and are directly connected via ethernet for Zoom calls all day. The speed is around 500-600mb/s. My wifi ranges from 50-200 depending on where I am in the house, but I'm never more than 50 feet from a 6e. 5000 sf house, all drywall. - Thank you. RickB
Thanks for reaching out. I would see IF there is GB service available first. This might bump up your speeds with the existing system. However, the Max 7 will absolutely make for faster speeds, better performance and is more future-proof. You wouldn't want to have 7 Eeros going at once. Too many APs is a bad thing. However, if 4 Pro 6e units cover your place now, you'll most likely find that 2-3 Max 7s do the job. This is dependent on locations of appliances, mirrors, tile, electrical, # of stories, build quality, etc. BUT long story short...2-3 would work. You might even eplace JUST the gateway with a Max 7 and then use 2-3 of your existing ones. Hi. Thanks for the great video. Guys like you are worth your weight in gold. I followed the process and SONOS was stable for 4 days. Then it was back to "system not found". I removed the IP reservations and tried several things - none of which worked. Then, mysteriously my SONOS reappeared. I checked my eero to re-add the IP addresses, but now eero displays MAC addresses for my SONOS devices. Would you know why the IP's aren't showing? Should I reserve the MAC addresses instead? Thanks P.S. I wish to repeat all the frustrations ten fold! 🙂
Thanks for the good word. We have a newer video that we will be releasing soon that details some of the nuances of the new app. In the interim, are you using Sonos anywhere else? If you are using another Sonos system elsewhere (work, vacation place, etc.), you will want to choose "Go To System Settings" and then "Join This System" after you see "System not Found". If you aren't using Sonos elsewhere, reserving the MAC addresses instead would be a good choice. Let us know if it helps!
@@airetheaterdesigns I am not using the Sonos anywhere else - just my house. 6 rooms, 11 speakers. I reserved the MAC addresses (it required typing in the IP address, which I had). No change to my problem. I called Sonos support. They concluded it is a router issue. Specifically they have had several other customers having this problem and they all have an Xfinity (Comcast) XB8-T. They told me to work with Xfinity. That will be my next step. I had problems in the past with this router and eero. Xfinity helped, but it may be that I have 3 networks enabled (2.4GHz, 5, and 6). It just seems odd that this router worked fine, until a short time ago. Thanks for your time!
@@airetheaterdesigns Sonos Problem: Sonos could not join my network from either my Sonos MacBook app or my iPhone Sonos app. “System not found on my Network” Things that didn’t fix the problem: - Deleted network and reinstalled many times - Deleted Sonos app on MacBook and iPhone 13 and reinstalled many times - Reset Sonos app on iPhone many times - Restarted Xfinity XB8 Gateway via Xfinity app and by unplugging many times - Split networks with the Xfinity app many times -Added static IP addresses within eero app (Settings:Network Settings:Reservations & port forwarding:Add a reservation: (I added all my Sonos devices) 2 Things that fixed the problem 1.XB8 Gateway Bridge Mode needed to be enabled (login 10.0.0.1). (Ironically, in May a live Xfinity tech disabled Bridge Mode and told me never enable Bridge Mode) 2. iPhone 13 Wi-Fi Assist needed to be turned on even though my iPhone was sitting right next to my Gateway (iPhone:Settings:Cellular:Scroll down to Wi-Fi Assist:Turn on) 3. Although adding static IP addresses did not fix my problem, I left them as static in the eero app I received excellent support from the Xfinity Forum folks via DM and from the eero technical support group. In addition, Sonos support also provided assistance. It was the Sonos Community that suggested the last fix i.e., turning on Wi-Fi Assist. I thank them all for patiently working with me. And a shout out to Aire Theater Designs for suggesting the static IP addresses (search How to fix Sonos). I, like many other Sonos users, was ready to scrap Sonos. But now that it’s “back to normal” I’m glad I persevered. I just wish Comcast would have credited the $100 service visit since they disabled Bridge Mode in May that contributed led to this problem.

Thanks for the good word. NOTE: We have had multiple RXV4s crap out on us. We also saw this with the previous model (RXV485). We have not had problems with the RXV6 or the models above this. I don't know why this is as there isn't anything noticeable that would point to this BUT something to keep in mind.
