Finally, took everything back to factory setting and reinstalled each piece one by one. Finally issue was the Arc would not sync with the tv. After man tries, found that when setting up the Arc to the tv, don’t have any other source connected to the hdmi ports, just the arc. Then it finally worked.
I totally agree Mario. I just spent hours trying to add a 2nd sonos speaker and now both sonos speakers fail and the latest sonos app fails to open on my iphone! This guy's video is useless too!
Sonos used to be great because sound quality was awesome and everything was simple and it worked. Apple quality and simplicity. Sadly they make great speakers, but they wrecked the app and why.. because it was fine. They have blown a vast sum creating the new app which may actually kill their company.
In my research, I made a fatal error in buying a new system by reviewing the speakers, especially the Era 300, released about a year ago. The reviews were overwhelmingly positive when they were released before the new app came out, so I made the purchase. I wish I had thought about researching the app. It has been the single worst higher-dollar purchase of my life.
How about a button to nuke the current app and bring back the previous working one. (If you really want app for the ace headphone; create another one till you can figure out a way for all of this to work together. )
I have been without speakers or TV for the last couple months ever since I upgraded my 10 year old WiFi router and went from 100 Mbps to 300 Mbps speed. Everything was working just fine, including my $2,000+ Sonos system that I've only had for 3 years, I just wanted to modernize (and the upgrade came with costing 50%, can't beat that). However, Sonos was a nightmare, couldn't get more than 2 of seven piece system to connect, after factory resetting each one over and over. But one thing you said in your video clicked - "don't multi task". Yes, despite the temptation, when the final "update" that takes 45 minutes per speaker is running, to check that text that just popped in... DON'T DO IT. The process will start over from SCRATCH! Is this slowness all because of moving to the cloud?
Worst $1,000 I ever spent. Waste 2-3 hours every month reconnecting it every time they update app. Latest app update is last straw as cannot get anything to work. Anyone have suggestions for a non Sonos system that actually works?
They all have their quirks. I would call Sonos when you have an issue to see what the actual issue is. You might find that it is tied to your network, having multiple systems in different locations or something else. We install Sonos every day and haven't had issues aside from the first nightmare month or so after the big update. If you do that and still have mystery problems, look into Heos.
I landed upon your take because I AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH MY very expensive SONOS SYSTEM!!! In 2021, I purchased the Arc White, two SLs, and the white subwoofer. So I'm all in for around $2,000. Everything was great...until the product software updates, app updates, and having to reset my system every time I lose power, which, in the South, is about every other month or when there are thunderstorms. I am SO unhappy with my SONOS system that I am thinking about going to a bookshelf stereo speakers and receiver. Maybe I'll just sell my SONOS system. I wonder if SONOS is reading this review...
If you are having to reset your system every time you lose power, it could be tied to your network and DHCP. See our earlier video at around 5:20 about setting up reserved/static IPs...this may help. ruclips.net/video/dKC93O1YRLQ/видео.html
@@airetheaterdesigns Last night I watched your recommended video in the link you provided, examined my Velop mesh system WI-FI router, and discovered I had several instances of Sonos components listed as devices in the 2.4 and 5GHz bands. I would not have thought to look there had you not replied to my post on this video. I was able to clear my device list and reinstall my Arc, Sub, and two SL-1 surrounds. Everything is back from the dead---THANK YOU!!!
$200 plus for a 2 foot soundbeam and we have to reset it every month! It's junk it should just work! If it's just smart enough to be stupid then it's junk! Do not buy Sonos!
An issue I am having now is that I cannot connect via AirPlay to my Eras100... I can connect to my other Sonos (One SL, Five, Ikea Frames), but not to the Eras100. Although I can play music from the Sonos App...
I have the same issue today . My era 100 mini sub and one sl's are all history . Neither Android or Apple work . All resets and updates done . Totally over all of this
@@mikeelkios436 What kind of router are you using? Sonos definitely floundered the app initially BUT we install Sonos every day and we aren't seeing these problems. What kind of router are you using and do you use Sonos in multiple locations or households (ex: work, friend's house, etc.)?

Nicely done sir. Thanks
Thanks for chiming in!
Sonos system is a disaster

Yep once these are all functioning again both my systems will be up for sale .

Yup...not to mention changes in the way the app communicates, processing, etc. Glad you're back in business!
