Добавлен 5 дек 2019
Featuring Classic cars spanning 123 years of automotive art and design. These autos can be viewed by a private tour at
Studio 127 in Greenville Ohio USA.
To schedule a private tour contact Klepsgarage@gmail.com
We will also feature a Subscribers car and talk about features and history of their classic car.
This channel was started because my two boys were board in the year 2020 (you know why) We are still making videos because it's been a great father son bonding and we are still having fun making these.
I find, restore/maintain and drive cars as a hobby. This is not my means of an income. Once in a great while I will sell something, but not very often. Just like playing with antique cars and trucks and passing along some things I have learned over the years.
This channel is for your "enjoyment only" and is not meant for you to learn a degree in mechanics. You do things your way and I'll do things my way.

A smalltown hero is returned after 80 years. Harley Alexander was in the US Navy patrolling the English Channel when his ship hit a land mind. Divers recovered his remains and recently through DNA he was identified to his family. Kleps Garage pays tribute his return home and provided a needed welcome as our hometown let's say wasn't too enthusiastic. Helping today is Austin, his youtube channel...

The BIG question is, how easily does the clutch slip. Guessing it'll be fine OTR, but no good for climbing.
No slipping. Have logged over 10,000 miles and some serious off roading. Thx
Put the 4 brush conversion starter in it. Makes it turn over like it has no compression
What year bike is that off of
You have a model T that has been parked for 15 years?!?!?! Sell it to me! I'll give it some honest to God use!
There are plenty out there for you to drive 😎
Good video. Looks like you were having fun. Driving in England is a bit more of a challenge. There is traffic everywhere and they are not very accommodating when you drive an old car. Sunday mornings work best 😊😊
@@Casterton-Vintage thx for watching. We have a lot of back roads. Easy to get away from traffic.
I have an old lamp that I had thought was from an early model T But I was told that it may be from an 1892 Panhard.,,,🤔

Wow thanks for that!!!!
Thank you for watching glad you liked it. 😎
Why don't you drive it? Although mine is a reproduction built in 1952, My car has several thousands of miles on it from driving it all over northern California to a Trip from redding Ca. to Branson, Missouri and all over around the small towns there as well as in the St. Joseph, Missouri area and towns along the tour all along the trip.
@@BitterDemo I do drive it. But not like you do. Mine is more of a museum piece and is believed to be a very early one. I don’t want crash or break something that is Irreplaceable. 😎 today’s traffic is not like 100 years ago wouldn’t you agree. Thx. 😊
Correction: the 1976 Buick Estate Wagon did have optional auto climate control as an option. My uncle had a ‘76 with every option including auto a/c.
Thx. And Thx for watching
My father, back in 1970's worked for USAF on R&M Activity (surplus) and they had instructions not to sell WW2 and later M38 jeeps to civilians because they had a notorious reputation for tipping over and the Air Force didn't want the litigation.
@@clivewilliams3661 yep. This one snuck through. It is a legit M38. Made to goto Korea. 1950 to 1952. I bought it as a parts Jeep. As most parts were missing. Ergo the decision to do the motorcycle swap.
Tears were shed that cold morning in late 1977 when Dad backed "Big Blue Brenda" out of the garage for the last time. She was a 1972 Pontiac Grand Safari, Cumberland blue with blue interior and 455 4-barrel under the hood. With papoose #5 on the way (and two more to follow over the next five years), the time came to trade in Mom's beloved '66 Mercury Monterey hardtop coupe. Mom had here eye on the Mercury Colony Park (Dad was a "Mercury Man" at the time) but when they visited the Pontiac dealer, Brenda caught their eye. She was ordered for a customer with rally wheels and without the woodgrain siding but for reasons untold the customer did not take delivery. Between the sporty styling and attractive offer by the dealer, they couldn't resist and took Brenda home that afternoon. I still remember being in the yard when she first pulled into our driveway. We spent the first day amazed by the tailgate and I remember my older brothers climbing under the car to see where the tailgate went. It came in handy when loading up the week's groceries at the Pantry Pride and we kids thought we were such hot stuff at school dropoff because we had such a nice car. She hauled us from our family home in Easton PA to visit friends and family in West Virginia, New Hampshire and Long Island, to our regular weekends in Rehoboth Beach and the Jersey Shore, and family vacations out west, up to Canada and down to bayou country to visit our relatives in Louisiana. He vast interior could swallow whatever project Dad was working on and in one particular emergency situation, we squeezed in 13 cub scouts and two nerve-rattled den mothers. My permanent perch was the back "rumble seat" and I loved being able to see what everybody else in the car was doing. But the time came for a new car and Dad stuck with General Motors, replacing Brenda with an Olds Custom Cruiser. It was a very nice car, more luxurious with its velour seating, and easier for Mom to park, but it didn't have Brenda's personality and we never bothered to give it a name. As the older kids went off to college, I graduated to the middle seat and left little brothers Scotty and Nick to the back row. For some time I looked for Brenda in traffic but she was never seen again.
HEY I have a nice 1988 Ford Bronco for sale NO Rust good body 1450.00

Did you know Joe Merli?
Sorry, no
@@KlepsGarage He built an 02 back in the day and drove it across the country. He was a gifted professional and had his business in Duanesburg, New York. SAd to say, he succumed to cancer about 10 years ago, but, what a craftsman. Thank you for your reply.
My father could have meet him at the Olds event in Lansing Michigan back in 1991?
15:44 Nice car, but that interior is not original to the car. 😊 The transmission is not an A727 torqueflite As they were not introduced until 1962. This version is what we call an A466 cast. Iron torqueflight.
Thanks Bruce! Im sure the family was honored!
Thx for helping out.
Thank you for the wonderful job of honoring one of our fallen heroes.
Thx for watching and sharing.
Nicely done and important to recognize these servicemen and women. We had a similar repatriation here in Newfoundland a week or so ago for an unknown soldier from the First World War.
Thank you for watching. It seems we are all connected in someway.
Very well done Bruce..
Thank you.
My grandfather bought this very color 67 98, my parents inherited it, I loved that old car. My grandfather bought this and a 67 camaro rs both for less than 7k. Imagine that today. I will never forget it, after the 98 grandpa bought a 70 Toronado.
Glad I could stir up some cheesy memories. That’s for watching. 😎

The for watching. We have came a long way.
I’m surprised the Ranchero didn’t go for as much!
You never know. Thx for watching
Since I was a kid, I have loved those ‘56-‘59 Plymouths! Never had the opportunity to own one (in the pre internet days, they didn’t turn up for sale very often where I was living then). At this point, I wouldn’t want to take on restoring one because I have no idea where I’d begin to find parts for them! I guess my ‘64 Barracuda will just have to represent my soft sport for those cars!
The Plymouth needed a lot of time and money to bring back. They are hard to find as most rusted out. I have a pic of a junk yard from 1964 and it is full of cars from the late fifties. Thx for watching 😎
Great episode! Well done! I must be the cheapest man in the world because I can't imagine paying that much for cars that need so much work. Wow... I'll try to be on time for the next episode..
That’s why I show these auctions. Can’t believe prices. By the way the wagon was mine. Thought you and Jeremiah would like the ranchero. Thx.
Thank you, sir, for calling out my brother from another mother Dan! I was a pleasure meeting you!
Hi Rod. It was great meeting you guys. Guess I should have interviewed you two. I was just chillin that day. Cheers
I got to drive a 1950 Mack 75 foot Ladder Truck to a live fire when I was a 'rookie fireman'. Ir was a reserve ladder used mostly for rookie school. The truck and I were born the same year, it was a beautiful old convertible, most beautiful when not raining.
Thx for watching. Watch Episode 76 to see the ladder work. Driving it tomorrow to salute a WW2 vet funeral. It’s a cool truck.
Wow! This was cool! Loved the drag races.

30 years from now this video may get 5 million hits
I doubt it. 😂😂😎

Beautiful car. I had a '65 red Corsa turbo 4 spd in '71. 12:23 No muffler but a 3 inch pipe out of the turbo. F70 14s on back and 6.00 13s on front. Wish I had it now.
Thx for watching. Old cars rule.

Wow that was better than those two guys on a 109 year old model T

Love the video . I have a original 1948 . That we have drove for our farm for 30 years. Original Brakes suck. So we drove it with no brakes. Both daughters could drive any where farm . I have goldwing engine
Yes brakes are optional on a Jeep. If modifying engine you will most definitely need brakes😂. Good luck. Thx for watching. 😎

Brilliant engine design The internal workings are fantastic
no theyre not, loud as sheet
@@liukang3545 ? Who said anything about that This is the second time this week I wrote something And someone else wrote a response that implied something totally different - that is also corresponding with the subliminal gaslighting I caught 2 months ago . Brilliant engine design Wise. - machine work - articulating style The internal - inside mechanism- rod and bearings- cast metal Workings - the integrated components Are fantastic- very good “ very well crafted Ok ✅ Got that Sheeet duh too load ???? That is not in the comment I have no idea of it’s decibels nor if sheeet was used in the construction I’m not casting judgement upon its sound Only Saying 1901 And cast iron / steel and alloy metals made with such precision is just absolutely beautiful and amazing - theoretically- one could travel in time to 1901 and build almost any modern component with existing machinery and materials and even blueprint details to cast parts that accurately It’s just amazing Too much to really get into detail of the implications for that
I'm liking the ERS, who needs to go faster, start a while earlier, and enjoy the trip.
Indeed what he said, thanks for watching 😎
Love this story and great find! This video has brought as smile to the Moorhead family. Looking forward to seeing the restoration!
