A Rare Rufous-vented Ground Cuckoo hunts army ants in Costa Rica
Просмотров 1363 месяца назад
One of our most notable bird sightings we had during our recent trip to Costa Rica was that of a Rufous-vented Ground Cuckoo. This species of bird is considered very rare and difficult to find with only 1,073 observations reported worldwide on ebird. We actually managed to see a pair of these birds in one area of Rincon de la Vieja National Park where a colony of army ants was moving about. The...

We were blessed to have had a short time with Jack and to get a glimpse of the time he spent as a chi...

If they had not tried to go round the iceberg and just hit it head on the titanic would not have been badly damaged but would have stayed afloat but that is not the fault of the men on the bridge but the fault of captain Smith and Bruce Ismay Bruce Ismay's arrogance and Smith's inability to sand up to Bruce Ismay let to this tragic loss of life so that Isamy and The White Star Line could be the fastest passenger ship to cross the Atlantic Ocean and that is something that can't be ignored or forgiven and the fact that Bruce Ismay snuck on to a life boat is beond cowardly when there was still men women and children on bord RIP to all that past away on the night of 04/14 /1912

No, the mill has not been running for decades. There is no evidence that it even existed on the lot, although I'm sure there are still lots of logs on the bottom of the lake adjacent to the mill site.

Fuck those rat-infested birds known as cliff swallows. The problem is since those rats shield themselves the more and more they migrate leading to a drastic problem of hundreds of them showing up year after year flooding your neighborhood and for what? to call it pleasing nature when shit is everywhere and then from their babies meanwhile they stay around for months then come back year after year with more ready to destroy your property forcing you to spend thousands of dollars to prevent them.

Would’ve probably done the same thing but I don’t know what Muscovy ducks are..,I saw the comment about them being able to fly and dive and that have been ok....someone saying that they would have made it so maybe that guy didn’t know what he was doing I don’t know what the right thing was here but it’s good that you care about animals sometimes we don’t do the right thing even when we try our best and sometimes we can help out in nature a little ...goes both ways but the effort makes me happy

@kevin Simala That's terrible.... that's really a shame and thank you for telling me this . That's got to be really heartbreaking . We had something similar happen years ago in suburban Philadelphia with the Franklin Mint but of course their work has not been around as long as Waterford Crystal . I knew people who worked at the Franklin Mint and they all loved working there . Two of them were artists who worked with clay . The god-awful Lynda Resnick family took over . We actually saw a woman we believe to be her very early one morning when we were driving past the Franklin Mint stuck at a light . It was the weirdest thing . They obviously must have had some kind of a banquet or party the night before . I was driving and my friend said , " oh my God look at that woman ." There on the hill of the Franklin Mint right beside us not too far away was a light haired older woman wearing a green long evening gown she had some kind of a champagne glass or wine glass in her hand and was raising it up to the sky as if making a toast to somebody . But what the Resnicks did was they eventually destroyed that place ....they dismantled it slowly by having the work removed from Suburban Philly and having it offshore , done in ...I think it was Taiwan . Regretfully the place closed and that's a shame because a lot of people used to work there.... that's the Resnicks for you ..... and that's Corporate America.... and that's the heartless corporate world..... no loyalty at all.... no love for their employees..... all about the bottom line . I don't know about in Ireland but in America for years politicians have been promising to bring jobs back and to give some sort of brakes and incentives to employers that come back to America or don't go overseas..... well they all lie .... and people believe their empty promises and don't hold their feet to the fire about breaking promises .
