Everything looked wonderful at thanksgiving Lynell! As for balancing being a mom and wanting to do more with your life, I’ve been there and as you wait on God, things eventually become clearer. I also stayed with the boys for 10years during which I worked less hours out of home and also started a business. In Canada now I am still looking to do something that offers that balance. Everything will fall in place with time. Rooting for you! ❤

I have a friend that makes jollof rice for us on occasion - so so my fav! Wow I've lived here my whole life and to be honest have never cooked a turkey haha! Always the guest on Thanksgiving so we get to bring the sides ;) I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling inspired to pursue your dream of both spending time at home with your kids AND still have a clinical practice :) You are such a strength and solution seeker I know you will find what you desire with the right timing.

$200 is normal for a townhouse. In winter, it might go up maybe by $50. We lived in a townhouse and we payed $200-$250 a month on electricity.

You’re very fortunate. Most immigrants aren’t able to start off with their ideal place starting off. The main reason is income. (I have a U.S. perspective, however, so may be different there). The place is very nice and cosy. All the best on your journey.

Welcome to Edmonton : )) it is nice to hear your experiences with immigrating here. I 100% agree with you choosing a condo over an apartment, the condo is more ideal in my opinion. I had no idea about Oxio, so thanks for that information. Our gas and power are together on one bill, we live in a duplex condo and are a family of 2 people and it was $178 for August, but we have air conditioning. Our water was $118. I would budget for more on the gas and power for the winter months as it will definitely be more.
