I truly think that life is only well spent when it is done with intention. So even though I don't do it perfectly, my life's purpose (in every facet) is to live with intentionality as my goal. Your comment and that you notice it is so very encouraging to me, thank you!
My kids are grown. One thing I learned while my kids are grown is you don't stop being a parent. Even when your kids are doing the right thing, I still worry about them. I hope the air gets better.
very interesting thought which I would have to agree with....shouting at your kids does not help them but instead it does the opposite.. in that moment you are choosing to resolve your frustration in the worse way possible and that is the example your kids are going to follow... if your are shouting at them when you are frustrated, they are going to shout at each other when they are frustrated and carry that with them into the future... definitely food for thought
Parenting humbles you. They imitate your behavior so much. You’re like “where did they get THAT from?” Until you realize 👀, they got it from me 🤣🤣 Such an opportunity to grow and be sanctified. Thankfully we’re not doing it alone!
Enjoyed the vlog. Like you rightly said most times we say things to our kids not even thinking how selfish it is but sometimes we parents are not even aware of this so listening to you made me think twice lol. My son is very noisy and sometimes I would tell him be quiet but what I realized some time ago is he gets sad so I thought maybe that how he expresses himself. Just like adults sometimes we feel like we want to scream could be the same for them or maybe it's their way of seeking attention especially with my son because he has no one around to play with. So I just allow him to make his noise most times. So yes we do have to be mindful what we say to our children and if we don't know how to deal with certain things we can do some research
I know I understand. I realized the hard way that sometimes it’s not even that the kids may be doing something wrong, it may just be that we’re embarrassed at something they’re doing. I had to begin to stop and ask myself if they’re doing something really wrong or is it that I may just be embarrassed by it because they’re not acting like grown adults. lol. Sometimes kids will be kids, they’ll be a little loud, get overly excited, ask tons of questions, spill their food etc. It’s hard but it’s us the adults that have to modulate our reaction to them just being kids. And that is hard quite frankly, especially when you’re cranky. Lord help us all.
It’s nice to hear a different perspective that makes you stop and think. That’s exactly what this lady did for me and I’m glad I had the opportunity to do the same for you!
I remember as a child, my parents always told us that if 1 sibling gets in trouble, we all get in trouble. So we always held each other accountable! This encouraged self-discipline.

Good afternoon, I am new to your channel. I would like to know how you like living in Canada. If you have videos about your life in Canada, I will watch them. I watch this RUclipsr who complains a lot about caring for her family. She makes comments about how she's not going to cook, etc. I have been watching her videos enough to know that she is lazy. I always say she had better be careful when complaining about her family. My question is why did she get married and why did she have kids?
Sadly it’s also the narrative of modern society and cultural trends. To complain about family life and children. Husbands continually make degrading jokes to their colleagues at their wives expense and it’s fashionable for women to complain about their children all the time like it is a burden. Being single is elevated on a pedestal. While these things are subtle it changes the way we the younger generation view family and our tolerance levels. So then you have a whole generation of people who really view taking care of their family as something so horrible they’ll rather not do.
Yup Ibrahim honey you took the words right out of my mouth! I also think sometimes they are just overwhelmed and don’t know how to cope well and as a result that is what they share online. It’s a difficult balance acknowledging what is hard but striving to be excellent. I pray she finds some older moms that can mentor her.
@@lynnellb While I agree with you, but if a person don't want the responsibility of taking care of their family then an older woman can't help her unless she wants the help. She made comments about her husband and one of kids that she should have kept it to herself. Now, there are women that don't know or dealing with depression (I'm not referring to those women).
@@lynnellb When it comes to a career we work hard towards it despite the difficulty because of the value we place on it. I think many mothers do not have a vision that values motherhood as something precious and are therefore indifferent towards it (because of what they have been taught by society). When difficulties arise it is therefore easy for them to use that as validation that motherhood is not something worth striving for.. very unlike the persistence we display in the face of adversity when it come to our careers and other dreams. VALUE IS LACKING
I really like how intentional and reflective you and your husband are in your parenting. And congrats on the job!

Hmmm. Interesting. Did any of your siblings get into trouble deliberately to get another into the mix? 😂
@@lynnellb Not really because we didn't want to lose privileges 🫠

You can mix the dry ingredients together and put it in a ziploc bag for future use.

Thank you Sherry! The pillowcases are a great idea because I use bonnets but they come off during the night.

@lynnellb your husband had such a beautiful respond to that comment.

It’s cheaper to run the dish washer at nights.
Thanks for the tip because I will do that.
Yes it is because the off peak electricity rates are usually lower. In Canada it’s still bright till like 10pm
We try to run it at nights for that reason. Thanks for sharing
