I would always take incursors instead of reivers bcz of the +1 to hit for a unit they attacked

I was really hoping for some point cuts on characters and/or Primaris Crusaders with the new changes to AoC but maybe just wishful thinking. Appreciate your positivity on all of this and great thoughts on the new rules!

I have had a box of Reivers sitting in plastic wrap still just for this kind of occasion. How do you guys recommend running them? 2 groups of 5? Or a bigger unit?

I have always liked the driver models so it’s nice to see them getting some much needed love. Going to look to use them in a list.

So meta Reivers should be in units of 5 (and hide inside terrain somewhere in the middle) or 10 with Pistol and Knife with a Lieutenant? Thanks

When the tournament rules released. I ran a Heavy Int, Biologis with Tbones, and a GravCapt with Sig seal. My army vow was accept. In my commnd phase my first step was to use fervent to give the unit uphold. It worked magically. The Gravis Capt is also a beast. I like the Powerfist/Chainsword combo. The profile give a great amount damge against a wide variety of targets.

I'm disappointed that the pyreblasters on Crusader Squads didn't also get the -1 AP. I like the idea of being able to have some overwatch protection for them more than just the pistols

Why not turn those intercessors into the assault kind? It comes with the pieces and makes science if you want a melee based army

Heavy intercessors should have been in the center first. 2+ save vs the warriors and immortals wounds have been the biz. Rapid ingress with Grimaldus might have been the move.

Why did you not redraw behind enemy lines in the first turn akex? Well gotta say after watching, what a devastating turn 2, that would probably be a surrender from me at end of turn 3 😅

Did you see the FAQ for the tournament coming up that adds stratagems work on enhancements. Hopefully it will be added to the December balance.

There are a few things I've learned so far since the change. I've been running a 5-man assault terminator led by a capt and ancient. And a 5 man terminator squad led by a chaplain. I also run a captain in phobos armor leading the Infiltrator unit. I've been putting a tank(usually a Vindicator) , brutalis, and either a jump squad and/or Inceptors, depending on points into reserves. After deployment, i activate the Phobos Capt ability to put both units of terminators into strategic reserves. You have to play more cagey first turn because now half your army is in strategic reserves. So, any targets left on the board could get focused down. But with fewer units to place during deployment its fairly easy to hide them. I will usually save a CP to rapid ingress a Brutalis or tank if im going second. As for the heavy intercessors. They are way better in anvil where they can fall back at the end on the opponent turn. They also need the support of a character. In Righteous Crusade, I think my next list is going to be a 10-man lead by a capt and Biologis with Tbones. Advancing straight onto an objective and hopefully sitting there for a while.

How do you get the greave with all the writing on it?

Played this setup, or close enough yesterday. More traditional THSs smash captain, as i just subbed in an old metal jump pack captain. But I was a fan. Made their points back easily. Ran a second squad with the chaplain aswell, just to double up on the fast moving templar death machine.

Done a lot of maths over the past weeks and yeah, J-Int with Sigismund seal's Captain is a very effective combo. The unit is cost-effective. You can trade good with that. I think this is the most efficient Sigismund seal's combo ATM. That and the fact that the unit fly and move fast. It's very great considering the absence of advance & charge in our detachment. I also like to add Helbrecht+Lieutenant with A-Int and Champion+A-Int. The main point of those two units are the character attacks. Full reroll to wound is very great. Most of the situation, it's even better than the +1 DMG provided by the Brethren. Again, those units are very cost effective. This give you rooms for Lancers, Ballistus and all those cool goodies in the actual meta

dont forget that Vanguard Vets can be in the better VOW in addition to the 4++ which is important because the rest of the army will be FAR better.

I already tested them - they are not that good. Maybe Blood Angels but not us.
