Yes me to. I only play Righteous Crusaders. And never use captain/Marshal for them. Would say Grimaldus for reroll hits/AP/fall back charge is better. Chaplain for +1to wound AND cancel battle shock.
Yes, I ONLY run Righteous Crusader's, I think it is vastly under rated (at least running with the Uphold vow). I find that the defense it provides is far more substantial in my games than a few damage boosts. I simply counter by taking our high damage units, and using Helbrecht + Castellan w/bones and 10 kitted sword bros in a LRC (variant up to you) and they literally wreck every game. Turn they come out ez auto wounds on 5+, next turn in combat they are going to be getting Accept Any Challenge for sustained hits as well. Now the sword bro squad is basically rocking 3 vows and can rip apart anything in the game.
@@gladstone201 No worries! So basically, the way it works is you have your vow you picked at the start of the game (Let's say it is Uphold the honor of the Emperor) so that is vow 1 Then, the Castellan gives lethal hits to the units, which is the exact same buff that the Suffer Not the Unclean to live vow gives, so vow number 2. Then, you can put the Accept Any Challenge no Matter the Odds vow on them via Fervant Acclamation in the command phase, now the sword bro's benefit from 3 vows (essentially).
@@Trignama1 how can the castellan give lethal hits? That's the one thing I don't get, is it one of the 4 enhancements? And a marshall can give those enhancements as well can't it? Can I run marshall AND castellan and both than choose theyr own enhancements for their respective units? Sorry it opens up so many questions 🙆🏽♂️🥲
Helbrecht/Lieutenant/Swordbros wiped 20 Boys and 10 Gretchin in 1 go. Absolutely best combo. Soo much fun with them. Totally agree with your list. I had success with EC with Assault ints but that was mainly to get a chaep alternative
I think a character that is not mentioned often but has good damage at a very decent price is the chaplain non gladius detachments.combined with perditions edge he massively buffs the unit he is leading allowing them to trade well without spending extra cpwhile allowing you to use the captains buffs at another unit.Mathwise he outperforms the emperors champion unit in damage.i run a unit with him and one with emp champ with great sucess
A wonderful video!!! Ive been using Helbrecht with one blob with a Castellan and The Emperor's Champion with 5 sword brethren. I must say the EC for 75points is outstanding. He always trades up massively!
Helbrecht, Castellan (with bones) + 10 kitted out sword bro's in a LR variant, is the BEST way, period. I've literally had this unit run through over 1k of my opponents armies multiple times.
I agree with all of it, i miss chaplains, grimaldus, apothecaries and our own Marshal and Castelan... No idea why the latter two are just not updated to be on par with the generic ones
As a whole I agree with the list. I know lots of players like to run Grimaldus with PCS and I get that, but I like the scout move with the PCS that you lose with Grimaldus in the unit. That being said I would rank Grimaldus at 5, I would rank him higher with the EC but at 75 points the EC is too hard to pass up. Thanks for the video.
I like having my emperor’s champion with them because he gets either plus 1 to hit or plus 1 to damage and I can epic challenge characters to ensure I kill them
I think you might be confused. Ep champ already gets precision on his one mode, you can take him to dmg 4 though with the sword brethern or give him an extra attack. And he gets plus 1 to wound vs characters so he's wounding the vast majority on 2's and he already hits on 2's.
How could you consider running these with squad stacks? Throw Helbrecht + Lieutenant + 5 bros into a land raider, and then a second squad with EC + 5 bros into the same LR? Death ball of Hel + Lieu + 10 bros?
Any advice and explanation welcome. Is Judiciar with a 20 man pcs and a EC with a 10 man pcs good or should I switch out those leaders the other way around and why? Thanks
Dies the Champion really gets +1 to Wound against a unit with a character model? Since he is not striking against a "Character unit" but against the "CharacterS unit" Or maybe does it apply if you take the precision strike?
A unit gains all the keywords of the models it contains. So it becomes a character unit. So yes he gets the +1 against the entire unit. Note that the models do not gain that keyword so you can't precision out the special weapons guy for example.
I appreciate everything this channel does. Seriously.
Can’t wait for the Righteous Crusader’s deep dive.

I don't quite get how you can have 3 vows? Sorry I'm new :(

very nice! would it be possible also one for crusader squad and terminators? :)

The Lt. enhanced with Perditions Edge along with Helbrecht’s +1 strength makes his power fist Strength 10 and AP -3
And damage 3 with the PSB. It's quite an awesome combo
I run 5 PSB with Lt. and Helbrecht every list

LETS FRIGGIN GOOOOOOO!!
Firestorm Assault, Judiciar with War-tempered Artifice S 10 AP-2 DMG 2(3 w/PSB buff)
this was quite insightful.
Any chance of getting a video like this one for terminators and crusaders? these shorter, segmented videos are amazing!
does High marshal ability doing mortal wounds also work on your opponents fight phase? just to make sure
It sure does! It also triggers before anything else happens at the start of the fight phase
@@ImplausibleNature THANKS A BUNCH YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST WHEN IT COMES TO BLACK TEMPLARS.
They just added a 7th seat to the implusor and every BT player is now wearing a “lethal” smirk knowing their LT can ride along as well.

@@ImplausibleNature Great tip. Thank you so much.
I’ve practically rebuilt my list, now to get more money to pay for it…
Your discord invitation is dead
Aww yiss
Judiciar can't attach to sword breathern I thought. It doesn't say he can lead them.
Any character that can lead intercessors can also lead PSB
@@ImplausibleNature interesting. Is there a rule link you can send me to that? Is there a similar rule for PC?
It is on the Primaris Crusader Squad and Sword Brethren squad datasheet.
~Bob~
Yes it's on the PSB datasheet! And yes PCS have the same rule
@ImplausibleNature thank you guys I really appreciate your insight!
