What beautiful visuals! How much is the wardrobe budget for this video?? LOL
haha. Thanks for stopping by! Myanmar like Mainland China nobody knows unless they live and work here. I know both over a decade!
Thanks for your generous kindness.
Love this video Ms Liza ❤
Love all your videos ❤
Your English -> Burmese translation in the captions is fantastic! Do you have someone who helps out? No way AI is this good.
I’ve visited these places countless times in the past, and your video makes me want to experience them all over again!
The tribes here are truly magic with all the dances and traditions and rituals. Top that with the kindness and hospitality and of course we want to come again and again to know more.
its wonderful to see Myanmar's heart and culture being shared with the world through your travels while local content creator going aboard and promoting them..
very good conversation Liza and Olivier.. Thanks for making it..
Lovely Video❤❤❤
You are so kind
With apologies to the Indian Community for dropping this video so late, but I hope I told the story with love and respect for such a beautiful tradition. I hope to continue to film many more such events for the Indian Community of Myanmar. With thanks to the Morya Club of Yangon and the DCM of the Indian Embassy for your welcoming me to the community. lovely, want to visit
Myanmar is such a culturally diverse country, it has so much to offer and teach us
Happy and lovely ❤festival 🎉❤
Another great video❤😊 It would be a special opportunity to meet with you while I am still living in Yangon(temporary).(I lived in a town very far away from here)
I would love that! Actually I want to do an interview with you. Contact me by the channel header to find my email and we can organize it!
The Strand Hotel Yangon next please because that's the very first oldest British Colonial hotel in Yangon Myanmar and you'll love it. Maybe just go get breakfast coffee :D
Release tension and let go of your stress and said time to go back to the normal life. That's deep and following the reality :D love the amazing challenging thing you do. Nothing is easy and if easy then that's nothing but when you go walk through then on the other side has the winning trophy. Enjoyed your videos and love and proud. Btw back in the day people have to pay over $300 a day to stay there.
Thanks for sharing! The place looks beautiful. So, I have a random question: may I ask where you get your nails done? They always look so nice 😊
Nails is my obsession. Urban Beauty Studio always does a great job
@@LizafromWhere thank you for the info😊 I’ll check it out.
Nice to see Olivier happy as usual again after a long absence! Thanks Ms Liza for the wonderful interview!
Hope to do more with other 'Burma Hands'.
@@LizafromWhere that will be great!
Liza, I love your videos, especially about Myanmar.
Thank you so much. I try to make more mini documentary style 'small stories' as a RUclipsr
Thank you both for highlighting the positive aspects of Myanmar, even during its most challenging times.
It's not like those sensationalist RUclipsrs who don't live here make it out to be
I love love Nourish café. Their meals are so tasty, and being a vegetarian, it's a great spot in Yangon. Moreover, it's in my neighbourhood! I didn't know there was a clothing shop in Hta Naung coffee 😅I've been there just for coffee! Next time I'll check it out.
You're welcome!
Please subtitles with English. Because we like to learning your accent. Its will be easy to translate if u subtitle.Thank U so much for vlog ❤
What he said "နန်းဆန်တယ်" "Nann san tel" mean "You look like a Royal". Because royal myanmar pople are tend to wear nice and behave very well unlike regular peasants or farmer. That's such a praise to be called upon. We use that word mainly on females. btw, I am from Myanmar.
Olivier mentioned a burmese word which means beautiful in a good way . Is it NASAME ?
Thank you for the interview with Olivier Cottone. I cannot believe how someone from MONACO is in MM.
So many assumptions about here from people who do not live and work here. He is just one of the foreigners I work with of thousands here. For myself I can't stand to live in Europe full time any more. Asia is home.
It has been awhile Olivier hasn't been found on internet although he was on internet content about his dance. You guys are so lovely. Olivier , Liza, Jochen and there are a few more who are so much enjoy living in Myanmar. I will relocate back there one day once political and economic condition are restored back into the hand of people. Hope to meet you all one day. Stay healthy and safe folks.
So many foreigners living and working here but yes our situation is very different to Burmese passport holders
Your programs are so amazing and never got bored for youtube surfing. Please make more programs and activities and we are so enjoying to view the videos. Appreciate a lot for your kindness and love on Myanmar people. I would also give it a hand if you guys are leading to manage something like cycling tour and stuffs. so much fun and lovely.
You can find Jochen, Sonne and Uncharted Horizons all on Facebook and the links are in those videos as well. Welcome to visit, join and help donate any time facebook.com/uncharted.horizons.myanmar
Amazing guy, interesting interview, thanks. - Think the word Olivier was looking for was "banlieue" (re Paris) ;-).
Actually the word we were looking for was in English and it is Suburb. Engish words we forget sometimes
@@LizafromWhere yes, but seems to me he was looking himself first for 'banlieue' when talking about the Parisian suburbs to be avoided. Well never mind.
is cricket popular in Myanmar ig its not right?!
Perhaps watch the video
no need!
Hello, nice video. About Visa, Is it possible to have a long-term visa as a tourist? If not, is it possible to make extensions? If not, what are the possibilities to stay a year or more in this country?
This is the first interview I have ever done for my channel. Let me know if you want more like this in the comments below and I will do more interviews with foreigners living here over 10 years. Sensationalist RUclipsrs like Luke Damant and Chai Travel with their made up drama for clicks content gets quickly exposed when you hear the day to day stories from people like Oliver who live and work here. I guess I will never be a big channel as I don't know how to make fake content for money. Thanks, everyone for your comments and I hope keep on making quirky non standard content as I do this as a hobby to share foreigners' view of life here.
❤❤❤💛🌻
Hey Liza! Thank you so much for making an interview with Cottone. I believe he's very fluent in Burmese and the westerner who respect burmese way of life.
Yes, hes my work colleague. We get on very well as we are quite similar in attitude and energy and we have a language in common as well. He's definitely a foreigner that loves and cares about here. You should also check out the videos I've made with Jochen from Sonne who is another loved and respected person for his work with the underprivileged facebook.com/sonnesocialorganization
Awww two of you see good things in Myanmar people. Thank you. Only if they understand your conversation tons of them will be over the moon. Miss Liza your laughs make the world happier. Love you.

I'm going to Bagan and around then in my holidays time. Things change here all the time. Now we also have floods and issues. As I live and work here and always use a guide, that is my choice I make.
Thank you for highlighting this, Sister❤
You need stupid what I mean you know
i had my school sport tournament here, it was pretty fun
Yeah its a really popular sports ground. Though I must say there are sports fields everywhere here. And where there is not one, there are guys playing on the train tracks or in the streets.
Thank you for your videos. I just came back this morning to Mandalay from Yangon. Your great direction to Rio coffee shop was amazing. Was able to find it. Also visited Seeds restaurant.
You are so welcome. You give me heart to keep making videos if they are helpful
" It's JUST NOT CRICKET over there... " . I will need 2 Helmets to play Cricket, one for the upper and one for the lower.
Cricket in Myanmar ? Never miss Liza. I’ve been waiting for your vid and thank you that let me see what’s going on in parts of the country. Thanks again.
I was exhausted with work and a year of uploading every single week. When I retire I will have time to be like every other 30year old bum doing nothing but RUclips ha ha.
Please do dear miss Liza. You have such a cheerful character. God bless you.
This one will probably come as a big surprise to people who do not live and work here. Actually to be honest I don't recognize the Myanmar that a lot of RUclipsrs that flit in and out of here show in their videos . This is a slice of daily life in Yangon
Thanks 🙏
So revisiting your videos and getting down cafes to visit in 3 weeks time 😊
WhatsUp Cafe in my malls video that went viral is also a nice one. Enjoy. Things are still fine here. Just the price of electricity doubled and the internet and phone connection is more patchy. Still in rainy season hardcore currently, Enjoy!. I will be on holidays to elsewhere undisclosed.
Such an adventure right there 😍
As a local person , I want to help within my capacity for these children .
Thanks for knowledge and the respect you give to culture . As I myself as a Myanmar citizen for almost 30 yrs , I don’t have the local experience as you had explored .
Foreign RUclips travellers always do that, they put media outrageous and click bate you to believe that they are in most dangerous country, in fact they only visit the small portion of Yangon and other cities that are quite normal, they didn't visit when the junta take control the country in 2021, lots of protest take place in that time, now conflicts and wars take place in some town and remote area but of course they don't visit there, they are using the cause of Myanmar people in order to gain lots of view, they think they are some kind of war expert.
EXACTALY. We know which RUclipsrs are doing that. Last night I met a Myanmar man who knows my channel and we talked about what you write. It is so sad when those huge accounts could help to get information out and do something useful. Instead all they do as you say is come to Yangon where many thousands of foreigners like me live and work here every day going about our lives. Here is not Lashio or near Inle Lake zone for example. Many regions even I have traveled to they are scared to go. So much exploitation and manipulation of truth for money and no care for Myanmar or the Burmese. As a small account it is hard to get the truth out
