This is the first interview I have ever done for my channel. Let me know if you want more like this in the comments below and I will do more interviews with foreigners living here over 10 years. Sensationalist RUclipsrs like Luke Damant and Chai Travel with their made up drama for clicks content gets quickly exposed when you hear the day to day stories from people like Oliver who live and work here. I guess I will never be a big channel as I don't know how to make fake content for money. Thanks, everyone for your comments and I hope keep on making quirky non standard content as I do this as a hobby to share foreigners' view of life here.
Another great video❤😊 It would be a special opportunity to meet with you while I am still living in Yangon(temporary).(I lived in a town very far away from here)
Hey Liza! Thank you so much for making an interview with Cottone. I believe he's very fluent in Burmese and the westerner who respect burmese way of life.
Yes, hes my work colleague. We get on very well as we are quite similar in attitude and energy and we have a language in common as well. He's definitely a foreigner that loves and cares about here. You should also check out the videos I've made with Jochen from Sonne who is another loved and respected person for his work with the underprivileged facebook.com/sonnesocialorganization
Awww two of you see good things in Myanmar people. Thank you. Only if they understand your conversation tons of them will be over the moon. Miss Liza your laughs make the world happier. Love you.
It has been awhile Olivier hasn't been found on internet although he was on internet content about his dance. You guys are so lovely. Olivier , Liza, Jochen and there are a few more who are so much enjoy living in Myanmar. I will relocate back there one day once political and economic condition are restored back into the hand of people. Hope to meet you all one day. Stay healthy and safe folks.
So many assumptions about here from people who do not live and work here. He is just one of the foreigners I work with of thousands here. For myself I can't stand to live in Europe full time any more. Asia is home.
Your programs are so amazing and never got bored for youtube surfing. Please make more programs and activities and we are so enjoying to view the videos. Appreciate a lot for your kindness and love on Myanmar people. I would also give it a hand if you guys are leading to manage something like cycling tour and stuffs. so much fun and lovely.
You can find Jochen, Sonne and Uncharted Horizons all on Facebook and the links are in those videos as well. Welcome to visit, join and help donate any time facebook.com/uncharted.horizons.myanmar
@@LizafromWhere yes, but seems to me he was looking himself first for 'banlieue' when talking about the Parisian suburbs to be avoided. Well never mind.
What he said "နန်းဆန်တယ်" "Nann san tel" mean "You look like a Royal". Because royal myanmar pople are tend to wear nice and behave very well unlike regular peasants or farmer. That's such a praise to be called upon. We use that word mainly on females. btw, I am from Myanmar.

check out the songs of "Htoo Eain Thin". one of the core of Burmese culture.
Thank you both for highlighting the positive aspects of Myanmar, even during its most challenging times.
It's not like those sensationalist RUclipsrs who don't live here make it out to be
Liza, I love your videos, especially about Myanmar.
Thank you so much. I try to make more mini documentary style 'small stories' as a RUclipsr

So many foreigners living and working here but yes our situation is very different to Burmese passport holders
Thank you for the interview with Olivier Cottone. I cannot believe how someone from MONACO is in MM.

Amazing guy, interesting interview, thanks. - Think the word Olivier was looking for was "banlieue" (re Paris) ;-).
Actually the word we were looking for was in English and it is Suburb. Engish words we forget sometimes
