I'm so happy you watched the video on Sonne! What Jochen does is truly incredible. On 23 we go to film IDP camps in Chin State. Often I get horrible comments from people who watch the videos I make for teacher on shopping malls thinking I know nothing. I am Slav! Myanmar is Yugoslavia of Asia!! I understand everything. Actually here is even more complicated than my blood country.
@@LizafromWhere Glad to hear that. Fighting!💪 I encourage you. May you create more enjoyable moments feeling the tastes of spectacular views. By the way, I want to make you friends with you. Is it okay?
Thank you for your wonderful video series on Yangon, Liza. My partner and I are moving to Yangon this summer and we're so excited! Very much hope to meet you all one day and learn how we can get involved with your philanthropic work.
Hi Wendy. Im up in Shan State now trekking. I will have incredible footage coming on all the tribes here as I go into homes and drink tea with the people and share and enjoy life and hear their stories. Some are so moving stories that sometimes I can not talk about for....reasons. But international tourism would help people to supplement their subsistence farming lives. There were so many projects and helpings for their comunities people did before the difficult times
I totally understand you! I have been up there on a mission trip and was so touched to have been invited in and stayed with a local family xx look forward to your updates 😊
The banal content on things like shopping complexes are popular. But I don't care about that stuff. It brings a lot of randoms making comments like 'welcome to Myanmar' or mom's basement warriors writing things like 'life is not so funny in x province' etc clearly all who have no clue about what my channel is about. But sure I need to make that sort of content for teachers and to set the record straight on funny ideas about here. Now I am trekking in Shan State and incredible footage will drop over the next few months and some eyes hearts and minds will be opened. It's really sad that the so-called "Myanmar activists on line don't support videos like this that I make on Sonne and the true people who are here on the ground and making a difference. This is the type of content I want to focus on and more and more you will see deeper and more amazing content on life in Myanmar. Just remember Im nearly 60 years old and work full time. Im not a young one YOLOing around the world making foolish selfish content. I want to do more with my life. And I think my channel can make a difference.
I am so impressed with your alliances and networking for positive change. This is how it snowballs! You would have been impressed with the first private organization that I taught for in Lashio. They were “DevelopED”, created by an Australian group of a few guys, whose plan was to create an established private school and subsequently hand it over to locals to continue. Rinse and repeat and grow in different areas. Unfortunately, Covid and 2021 had different ideas. I now keep in touch with many old students from DevelopED as Lashio has turned into a nightmare. 🙏🙏🙏💚💛❤️

There were so many projects and helpings for their comunities people did before the difficult times. So the people are quite capable of taking care of their communities as I heard of a wonderful initiative of a young man in his village when there was international tourism. They had the spare revenue and the joy and energy to do eco projects with the village kids and run reading programs and the like. Now is the time I'm needing to recommend Viktor Frankels Man's Search for Meaning to some. I think you understand my meaning

Hey Liza! How's it going? I am Dante. Please allow me to apologize to you on behalf of the young boy who was asking your age as a very first question instead of saying "Hello", "How are you?" or something. I am really sorry. Most of them(Burmese people) honestly don't know not to mention the lady's age or weight. I am pretty sure that he wasn't meant to be rude though. Again, I am really sorry. Have a great time in Burma and please stay safe. Regards, Dante 🙏
@@LizafromWhere Thanks heaps. You have got such a great sense of humour. You must have been in Burma for a while I supposed, and understand the culture and nature of Burmese people very well too l reckoned. Thanks again for your kind heart for the Burmese people. Thank you. 🙏
