As I understand it, here in the Northeasr the tradition of demanding hard woods is really an economic one. Almost all wood produces the same amount of BTUs/ pound. But wood is sold by volume, so we demand the denser wood. If wood was sold by weight we would likely be agnostic on the issue.

Good video. I think that a big factor is that their are fewer people that do their own work. I have a bunch of old garden tractors. I do my own restorations and use them for chores around my property. Good Luck, Rick
@@richardross7219 Great point 👍
I recently bought the 8 AH battery. It would not charge on the regular rapid charger. Luckily I also had the rapid charger plus, and it charges on that. I would imagine the 12 AH would also require the rapid charger plus.
I love the height of this blade. I have a 60” warn plow on my case 444 and love it but wish it was a little higher yours looks perfect.
Great looking canopy,,, but that bare glassfibre insulation needs covering, that stuff ain't good to be breathing in and I would spend my time constantly scratching.
I subscribed because of your willingness to make this video showing the mistakes or lessons learned from the previous install.

Bauer life... Anything else trash, save money. Get more tools. More power. 1 handed sawzall
First of all thank you and yes, this is a year later. I've got a very very tight new home. I've got a highly efficient, wood stove and yes, I do what they call. Burping it prior to opening the door all the way. Yet I'm still getting a smoke smell not necessarily see smoke but a smokeodor. Trying to figure out what's going on I do have make up here for the woodstove. I've got a 6 inch pipe buried underneath my slab that comes up directly underneath the stove. I am burning, seasoned wood yet watching your video and listening to it I'm thinking the mistake maybe because some of it's wet due to the rain or snow. Yet looking for any other reasons that I may be getting the smoke smell inside the house.
@@MartyHuie If you have outside makeup air, it’s likely either unseasoned wood or a cold flue. Often when the stove hasn’t been started in multiple days the flue takes awhile to warm up and may backpuff at first. Try starting real small fires and build it up. I use kindling or wood products only. No newspaper or cardboard as it smokes too much imo
@@BuildALotAcres So, here’s the thing. It’s not the fire itself that starts the smell. It’s when it’s been burning for a few hours, really hot, that I get the distinct odor. It’s not the physical sight of smoke, but the smell. Yes, I do use fat lighter. And guess what? The fire never seems to go out. There’s always some Coles in the woodstove, and I usually scoop it out in the morning. But then, I put another piece of fat lighter, get the fire going again, and add more wood. But here’s the catch: it’s not in the morning. It’s in the middle of the afternoon, and I’m completely confused. I’ve even messaged the Chimney Installer Woodstove to come and take a look and give me some advice. But I’m also trying to solve it myself, so I’m not sure what to do. I really appreciate your help if you have any suggestions. Thanks a bunch!
@ Usually new stoves let off a paint smell while they “cure”. Other than that, it could be the type of wood you’re burning
@@BuildALotAcres I've had this woodstove for about a month and a half or two months and have had a fire in it almost every day. I contributed the smell the first couple of weeks to possibly burning stuff off, but it never smelt like I was burning paint it was always like smoke was coming from somewhere smell. I'm still too new at this to understand what types of wood is best but I know it's all seasoned for the person that cleared my land only put certain trees to the side and said you can use these trees for your fire/wood stove. They are easily three years old and all split very well. My assumption is they're dry. Yeah my concern is I think I might've mentioned is they're getting wet from either rain and or snow and I did not know if that was helping contribute to possibly smoke odor.
The house being as tight as it is, was wondering, or thinking that possibly went opening and closing a door there was a back draft from the make up error vent that's in the floor that I put in was sucking smoke down from the woodstove and then it leaking out into the room. I'm really confused.
this coil trim needs to be bent?
@@TheHalusis Yes. I had to due to the way they originally built the roof. I always hem the top anyways to make it stiffer and avoid buckles in the heat

I'm looking into investing in some Bauer tools since a harbor freight store opened up near where i live. If i have a issue with one and it's still under warranty then it's hop skip and jump to the store for a instant replacement. I like Milwaukee tools but the problem with their tools is they only use dealers for returns and their warranties are done strictly by manufacturers date printed on the tool. If you return a Milwaukee tool in for repair under warranty you have to return it to the dealer or a certified Milwaukee repair shop if you live near one and it could take a couple weeks to get it back. Another problem with Milwaukee tools I've had was that manufacturers date, the tool could be warranties for 5 years but then the tool by date could be two years old which means you get screwed out of a two years of the warranty. Milwaukee goes by that date not by when you bought it. I was told by a Milwaukee tech this is how Milwaukee does their warranty on all their tools and batteries. Seems more beneficial for me to just use Baure tools, very little hassle for returns if need be. I've bought Milwaukee tools and their great tools, but I've never had a full warranty on any of them because of that manufacturers date printed on the tool.

I could have done the same thing with a 4 1/2 lb Tassie . Just as fast . And very much Enjoyed the process !
I don't know about that. My axes just bounce off of these kind of rounds. These rounds are also 20" long rounds, not the 12-16" most people do. Also most have multiple knots. Happy splitting!
Wow impressive
Love the video btw, ty for your knowledge
Is this going to dump all those heavy metals/toxins whatever is it going to dump back down on my lawn where my kids play, that's my question?

I have an ‘83 Kubota B5100 4x4 diesel my FIL bought new. Nothing internal has ever been touched and it runs like a top. Doesn’t burn oil, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t leak, and as long as the battery is good it fires up no problem in the dead of winter. Even has the original tires on it. I love those old garden tractors, but how do you beat diesel and 4x4?
Great stuff. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
