Hello! just wanted to ask about your inserts. In other reviews they say they trim the personal inserts (those not from plotter for example those from filofax) because they get caught in the rings. Did you experience this as well? This is what makes me hesitate getting a plotter for myself and would love to hear about your experience. Thank you!

If not for the freebies this year, I’ll definitely go for Amazon Japan. Hobonichi has marked up the prices for overseas buyers (I’ve compared the prices on the package and the prices on the website. Everything’s marked up a few dollars) shipping is also more expensive. I think Amazon Japan is selling them with the original Japanese prices and that’s why they’re cheaper.

I'm in love with how that cover layers with the plaid print of your Weeks!!! It looks like lace from afar, kind of like a really pretty vintage tablecloth with lace trimming. I was having trouble deciding what to get because I love the Harvest Plaid and also the Beautiful Season cover, but I was worried the art would be hard to see on the light background. This totally convinced me to go with my heart and get both because it's SO lovely together. Also the cover feels more wearable year-round with the plaid Weeks b/c I was concerned the art was TOO wintery, but the plaid totally freshens it up and it feels appropriate for all seasons <3

Yes! The items were lower priced on Amazon Japan and I imagine shipping is a little higher from Hobonichi. I ordered from Amazon Japan this year and shipping wasn't so bad since I had other stationery items in my order.

I have both covers in the sleeves and mine lays flat like a pancake. I folded it back once to get it in place, but I'm not having that problem. We'll it's over now. How is that green one? Is that material like felt or something? 💜

Lol Tiffany, I hear you say, ‘needed it, “NEEDED” it’ and I totally related to that. I have had to ask myself that so many time. I keep stay to myself, I want a Stappo this year, I resisted last year, but I after spending on several more covers than I needed … Yumi Kitagishi - everything except the post-it tabs - like that was a big saving 🤣🤣 Hiroko Kubota weeks, A6 hon and Illuminated flowers cover for it. I told myself no Stappo… but the little devil on my shoulder is still whispering “go back, go back and get the Stappo”!! I’m so happy for you that you got the beginners guide I missed out on that as local Hobonichi prices were just too high for me to consider them. I know it’s not their fault, I would like to support local but I just can’t justify the price difference. That postcard book is just sooo cute. I love it!! Also I am a big tea fan, to the point that my TC Dinners edition is a tea journal, so anything tea related, washi, paper pads, sticker, etc, I have to grab it!! So good choice on the postcard book. I had to rewind and rewatch the flip a few times 😂 🫶🏽🍵🐰🐻‍❄️ That Cafè au lait plaid cover is so beautiful. I need to stop looking at it in videos 🫣🫣🫣 thanks so trying the Weeks in the Tragan Cover, I asked and you show so great you have wonderful intuition! I’m thinking about going back to get the A5 to put weeks and A6 in there together as my physical health and mental health huddle books. Actually I have two weeks as I’ll be using the 2nd to meal plan and note recipes I try & like. The Beautiful Season cover looks perfect pretty on your weeks. Pretty pen and you’re right about that ink, it’s also very pretty! Are happy with your writing? If not, may I respectfully suggest writing a bit slower, so you can concentrate on the shape of each letter a bit more. I know though, sometimes it’s just dash it off, and forget about anything but getting it down on paper. 😅

I love your videos - your voice is really engaging. :) I got the same freebie notebook, and I really like it. :) I love all the stuff you got - I would love to see the Stappo in use when you start putting stuff into it. Also, I didn't realize that the taut zip cover was all leather inside. For some reason I assumed it would be PU leather like the Mina Perhonen fabric covers (except for the Piece and 5-year covers, of course). I love unboxing videos! It's so nice seeing all the different items we purchase and how different each person is with their choices. I just made a 3rd order but this time with a friend thankfully and bought an A5 HON ( the Hiruko Kubota one) because for some reason I wanted to try out an A5 for next year and if it doesn't work, I already have an A6 waiting for me lol and repurpose one of them, either way I'm going to make use of both of them somehow.

Looks like such a nice pen! 🤩 I was interested in the 74 and 743, but jumped straight into the 823 because I loved the amber brown colour. I was a bit worried it was overhyped as well, but I love it 🥹

Ahhhhh I love the Custom 74! I have 2 already! I might buy another one. I would love to buy the Forest Green which is a US exclusive but not sure if it's available. I wish they would release an amber version for the 74 similar to the 823

Congratulations on your purchase of the Pilot Custom 74. The Custom 74 has a neutral writing feel without any quirks, so it is very easy to use. In Japan, it is also recommended as a model for those who are using a gold nib fountain pen for the first time. In my personal opinion, I prefer the 1911, which conveys a delicate touch and a pleasant scratch.

It's a lovely pen. I have a blue and the pink but wish I would have just gotten black. Enjoy!!

Ok so this pen is a soft fine medium, yet I looks stiff when you are writing. Did it flex at all? In other news, I got my 9/2 order from Hobonichi and the cafe au lait cover is very nice. And my HON fits in it. Nice choice on your part. I guess next year I'll just be lazy and follow your channel to victory. 🤣🤣🤣💜

I can't wait to try out fountain pens at some point, it seems really fun. Have you received your Hobonichi order and will you do an unboxing? My first order just arrived last Thursday and I loved all the items and it was my first time getting an A5 cousin and the size is so tempting although I know it's going to be too big, but I'm going to use it for something else not as a planner or a journal and hopefully it will work. Plus, I got the freebie that I wanted. Hoping to receive my tragen this week which is ver exciting because I can use it right away with my A6.

where did TOXMOT come from?

"Collection" means special items (for you at least); what you have there is generic uninspiring items. Nothing wrong with generic pens, if you use/need them, but most of them were/are never inked... What you do is not collecting, but hoarding. Most of the time people don't tell you the truth (or are too stupid to know the truth) and I hope my message is helping you in your quest.

I guess a regular ink bottle won't fit?

I might consider using the Midori hibino next time, but I’m not sure (it’s a bit too big for my liking and there isn’t the vertical monthly layout). Hobonichi has some great designs this year. I managed to get everything I want the next morning, but yes I was also one of those people who kept pressing on the checkout button for more than an hour on launch day. It was stressful. This Hobonichi launch ended up being the subject of my journaling entries for two days straight. Now it’s officially part of my life story.

I was so ready at 10pm eastern. I spent one hour and 15 minutes with the same struggles. I called my sister to see what she wanted to do when we both decided to give up for the night. The next day came I got up went to church came home took a nap and when I woke up, I checked my phone and my sister text that items that went out of stock were back in stock. We agreed to try again and it all went smoothly. Talk about experiencing all the feels. I went from angry ,disappointed, at peace, excited, hopeful ,happy. Today is September 13 and I just got my shipping notice from Hobonichi . All that time I was wondering if something was going wrong with my order because it has never taken so long to ship in the past. What a ride..

It hasn't been that crazy since 2016ish? & another time prior to the year I wont mention. It didnt faze me knowing what I knew going in. I decided to disengage after 17 mins of light attempt. Im not in the Planner Communities, so its making me think a Plus there. I had largely broken up with them after the Sanzen paper rollout. My Inks dont shine in that as they did for original Tomoe. Such is life: "Parting is such sweet sorrow" BUT since I have the Brown Steiff Cover with Red Telephone Booth, it is Game On for Paddington Weeks! Just received mine today, I ended up Ordering on day 3 by a whimful feeling!

You should be able to replace that broken feed no problem. But if that pen was high dollar amount that is extremely frustrating.
