I love your videos - your voice is really engaging. :) I got the same freebie notebook, and I really like it. :) I love all the stuff you got - I would love to see the Stappo in use when you start putting stuff into it. Also, I didn't realize that the taut zip cover was all leather inside. For some reason I assumed it would be PU leather like the Mina Perhonen fabric covers (except for the Piece and 5-year covers, of course). Thanks for the video - I love watching Hobonichi unboxing videos, and yours are always great. Enjoy the rest of your day!
@@pennycandyys The Mina fabrics are definitely expensive. It seems likely that they are more expensive than the Liberty fabrics, but I don't really know. Has there been a leather-lined Liberty fabric cover? The two currently on the 1101 website both have cloth interiors. I can't remember a leather-lined one, but I don't usually look at them too closely because I'm not into their floral patterns. I agree about the Mina Perhonen covers. They're very cute but I don't buy them because I don't like PU leather. It doesn't hold up well at all. Overall, I prefer leather covers, and I have a few of them. But it's a little weird that only the Piece covers from Mina are leather-lined, right? I'm glad that there are cover options for vegan Hobonichi users, I just wish they were weren't made with that PU leather. An all fabric cover would be better than that, IMO.
@@pennycandyys P.S. Ahh, I see - I looked again, and the Weeks cover is leather inside - also the zipper pull. I don't use the Weeks, but I remembered that there are usually LIberty fabric covers for it.
@@arguchikthis has also been my big-bear, why spoil a beautiful expensive fabric cover with PU leather that won’t last as long as the fabric will. I too would prefer fabric lined to suit both vegan and non-vegans alike with a cover that will last longer.
I’m already using the Stappo, it’s great! I will for sure do a video on it. I’m glad I decided to just get it, I’ve had my eye on it since it came out and didn’t really see a need for it until now. The taut zip cafe au lait is definitely leather and not PU. It was hard to find the spec but it’s hidden below the description. I hadn’t known until someone pointed it out. Yeah, it’s certainly strange for Mina covers to be PU and not leather given how costly it is priced. I feel it has something to do with keeping cost down because the fabric is already costly?
I love unboxing videos! It's so nice seeing all the different items we purchase and how different each person is with their choices. I just made a 3rd order but this time with a friend thankfully and bought an A5 HON ( the Hiruko Kubota one) because for some reason I wanted to try out an A5 for next year and if it doesn't work, I already have an A6 waiting for me lol and repurpose one of them, either way I'm going to make use of both of them somehow.
Ooo, the Hiruko Kubota one was one that I had to force myself to not buy. It’s so beautiful! I just couldn’t justify it because I won’t be able to use all of the notebooks.
I went the other way to you I bought the Crescent Moon delivery 🌙 A6 hon for 2025 but used A5 Avec books this year - also to see how I go. Good luck and I hope the A5 works out well for you. I fill a quarter of the page with sticker and might not be able to do that in A6 but I wasn’t writing a whole page so thought to try downsizing.
I'm in love with how that cover layers with the plaid print of your Weeks!!! It looks like lace from afar, kind of like a really pretty vintage tablecloth with lace trimming. I was having trouble deciding what to get because I love the Harvest Plaid and also the Beautiful Season cover, but I was worried the art would be hard to see on the light background. This totally convinced me to go with my heart and get both because it's SO lovely together. Also the cover feels more wearable year-round with the plaid Weeks b/c I was concerned the art was TOO wintery, but the plaid totally freshens it up and it feels appropriate for all seasons
Hey, you are so right! It was a happy chance that the beautiful season cover on cover looked good on the Harvest Plaid. I love that Hobonichi accessories can freshen up a notebook so simply. Hope you are enjoying yours by now! ☺️
Yayy so excited for your haul, Tiffany!! such elegant and beautiful choices! 🤩 the cafe latte cover and harvest plaid weeks are just so lovely. I was eyeing the green tragen pouch as well, and it looks so good! I'm so glad that you showed how it could potentially even fit the Weeks! I was surprised how sweet the Beautiful Season cover on cover looked on the harvest plaid weeks, what a nice touch, but the adorable sticker of the tiger and violin would also be so cute! 💖 so excited to see how these will take part in your 2025 lineup!
