- Hi! This is a recording that is on my jornal evolution so to speak. I started using Hobonichi in 2021 and just love them.
This is my first unboxing and I had fun creating it! I hope you enjoy it! I purchased my journals on the Hobonichi website, but I know there are other places that have them. I’m not sponsored by this company in any way, but just sharing this fun moment with other journal and stationery enthusiasts like myself 😀.

Cuuute. Regarding the bookmark ends - some of the covers still have them. I wish they did more of the fun ones (like they did for the aristocats cover and others - they were cute shapes!)

It’s kind of funny really because I was just going to try and do this unboxing quickly, and somehow the whole origin story came out. 😆, and I was like who in the world is going to care. I thought, well, years from now I can look back and it’ll make me smile. You want to open and pen test all of your planners. Since you and your son got the same ones, they should be from the same batch. The ones I have heard people having problems with are some of the weeks(I haven’t seen problems with the wallpaper weeks, but you want to make sure), there haven’t been problems so far with A6 planners that I have seen, and some of the cousin(A5) planners have also had paper problems. Pen test your planners so if there are problems, you can get a refund/replacement because you have to let them know within 14 days. I had problems with two weeks that I ordered as presents. I do not know what Hobonichi is going to do because they do know there are problems with certain batches of the paper(I emailed them over a week ago and haven’t heard back yet). I hope Hobonichi can figure out what to do and help those who got bad paper in their planners (I also hope Hobonichi can get replacement paper from their paper supplier because they do not make the paper.

I love the planners, but the paper is the whole reason why I purchased them to begin with. I appreciate this information so much. If it is bad paper, I hope it’s not too late for me. I think I’d try to reach out anyway. It is lovely to meet you.

I totally understand waiting for the restocks. A few years ago, there was a cover I wanted so much, and I think I like stayed up late so I could order. 😆.
