I tell people this all the time, Lookism lost my interest as soon as they introduced Eli's whole hostel arc. I tried to push through, hoping the story would shift back to how it was and it just kept getting worse with the gangwars and what not. Not just that but they keep introducing new characters and its just so hard to keep track of who is who. Also maybe it's just a nitpick of mine but i was really mad about what they ended up doing to Jiho, i really wanted him to get redeemed 😭 I could honestly make a whole 4 hour long video essay talking abt Lookism, this was something thats been bugging me for years.

Tbh if they can get the best scenes from season one into the opening they can actually hook the audience

Rather i prefer to add aspects of religion and/or aspects of mysticism or esoteric (something being hard to explain). The magic may not do everything or break all the laws of the world. However the laws and functions can be mundane and concrete or abstract and hard to explain. However the connections are important when doing this imo. As well as a point. The spells, laws, lore, and myths of the magic system must connect and (at least) create the illusion of a goal or goals.

Its really good, but like everything really good future artist/authors will only copy what they think makes it good in an attempt to stand out, but will either become trash or generic. A prime example is Surviving the Game as a Barbarian. Its novel and comic adaptation are great, but other creators just take the "main character is a Barbarian" angel to produce subpar works.

After some time the Emperor rescues her, leting her live like royalty, not botering to give Rashta even a basic eqtiquete. Then the Emperor divirces his wife, gets married with Rashta who is pregnant to secure an heir without telling ANYONE. After this theres only a shitshow

the thing with orv is that it aims to tell a story instead of just churning out a crappy op protag cash cow. they literally have a running joke about a crappy op protag cash cow light novel built into the story as a pretty consistant punching bag. once you get to the uh... later chapters it becomes more apparent because if you thought the first act was dark, it arguably only gets darker from here.

As with any other genre of manga or anime, even if it is fiction, we will still be able to relate to and be impressed by the message and drama portrayed in it. It is not about whether it is real or not, but whether it is true and convincing as a human being. Certainly, this work is fiction, although the model does exist.
