bad advice about do what feels comfortable. It's more common that beds are uncomfortable the first month and as it softens it becomes more comfortable.

If only their business practices and customer support were equal to their prices. Well, that's suggesting their prices are high for what you get. I don't know how I feel about them. I like Casper better. They seem to make quality products for what you pay. But I find their all-foam mattresses too firm, which don't work for me, and I'm not a hybrid mattress person. I did try a Casper for over a month before finally returning it. No issues overall. I don't hear about anyone having as easy an experience with Ghostbed.

I'm so scared we just got isense and can't return it 5 thousand were still in pain etc. We had sleep number never again but I loved feel of tempurpedic I tried but we are going to try something called dreamcloud do u know anything that is similar to the luxbreeze by tempurpedic in case this dreamcloud doesn't work

My current mattress is a queen size piece of latex foam 6" thick. It was purchased in 1979 and has been used ever since. I have even moved it along with the bed to a new town. I will keep using it until I can find a mattress just as comfortable and reasonably long lasting. I am only considering replacing it after 45 years as the edges are aging on it, otherwise it is just fine.

They didn't mention that latex doesn't ever get a memory in it and lasts forever. They can't sell you a new mattress every 10 years.

I bought a topper from someone off craigslist. They had it in storage basically for a year and never used it. It's super dry here and there is like a crust on the outside of it. Like a plastic layer but it's the latex. Will that go away if my humidity is like 30-40 in the house? It's 15 percent or lower a lot of the year here. Can I moisturize it somehow? Sorry about the account name, I got in a fight with yt support and was being a smartazz and they said if I change it again I am banned.

I bought a king Nectar mattress, that I bought about 15 months ago and to say it's a horrible mattress is an understatement, I contacted Nectar the first time less than a year old the 365-day warrantee is a total lie, they have put me off after sending 8 claims with all 30 pictures for 16 months now. Making me do all these pictures and proof of purchase along with more pictures and their claims they didn't get my proof of purchase. It's a total nightmare and they simple could care less, don't waste your money with a Nectar Mattress!

The most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on are full memory foam mattresses of the past. I don't think they're as common anymore, because it's cheaper to use more poly foam underneath, with comfort layers on top. I've been trying the Casper Select, and while the top layers are nice and cushioning, the firm poly foam below makes for pressure points that build up through the night. I just feel like it's a cheapening out that ruins the mattress. I'll try something with more comfort layer, currently hoping to try the Nest Quail. But I wish there were better solid foam options. Maybe the older models I tried were Temperpedic or something. They were always guest beds in places I was staying. So they were never beds I knew the details about.

While I am not the defender of companies, latex gives a very specific feel. I tried out two companies that weren’t mainstream and definitely gave those options a try. They last longer, that’s such a great appeal. But it very much has an on top of feel. I went for the Memory Foam Hybrid, because it met the needs of my dancer bodies.

I am laying on this exact mattress right now, bought mine in 2013 and it’s time to replace. I have a dip in the comfort layer exactly where I sleep. It held up pretty well though overall in the last 12 years. Have a Stearns and foster being delivered next week.

Sadly, marketing goes a long way and with the social media explosion it's a "new marketing of opportunities" and people are very naive and easily influenced by other people, aka "influencers!" Remember the days when being easily influenced was a bad trait to have? Now companies and other people thrive on it like never before! I have a foam mattress which is sagging with just 3 to 4 years. I can't have a good night sleep, and because I'm a stomach sleeper I often wake up near 5am with back pain, even side sleeping is becoming a pain now. I came from a spring mattress and "evolved" (yeah that's right! "evolved") to the foam hype as my spring mattress was loud and started to cave in. I now opted for an all latex foam mattress for what I consider to be the pinnacle of sleeping "evolution" in dear hope that it will surpass my old 5/6 years old and more recent 3 years old spring and foam mattresses, respectively. I can honestly say that finding a latex mattress wasn't an easy task as the web is filled with paid reviews on this business. I live in Portugal (Europe) and every search I did drove me to one specific brand, with other fewer (local - Portuguese and Spanish) brands popping up. Shame to say that the lack of honest long-term reviews is a harsh reality and honest reviews on mattresses cannot be given on the first day, week or month, but rather a year. It's hard to do it properly as brands launch "new" products every year. We are at our own fault when products have such a low life expectancy, this consumerism mentality of consume and discard the next day needs to be constrained.

Very interesting video. We have had the Intellibed Midnight for five years, but it seems to be the same as the one featured here. In any case, I think it was one of the best purchases we have ever made. I had surgery last week, and was really appreciating how comfortable this bed is. We got a split Cal King with adjustable bases, so the retail was quite a bit higher, but we negotiated and $9000 is about what we paid (plus tax and warranty). I would be delighted to save money the next time we buy a bed, but it will have to be as comfortable as this one.

Is there a type that doesn't require a frame? Would that he a platform?

Also just because you had brand X and it was a good experience, it’s been 10 years since that purchase and there’s no guarantee you’re getting an even remotely similar product

Every time I try to look for a mattress… I’m so overwhelmed by the complexity that I just don’t bother. My mattress is a block of foam. No layers, just 1 big block. If one side gets a little sunken, I flip it over or around and it’s as good as new. Probably been sleeping on this one for over a decade and my only reason for wanting a new one is that too many cups of tea and coffee have been spilled on this one, so there’s some staining. Buy a new one every time I move because it’s just easier. My parents on the other hand always on a mattress adventure and their complicated mattresses really do seem to develop issues every few years - and they are not large people. So I’m pretty much convinced the complicated mattresses only exist to sell people more mattresses.

There is another foundation not mentioned. Which is actually a fully pocketed coil style foundation. Not cheap though...

I will never buy the purple brand..I saw another video where the grid was all out of shape/buckled disform and for the price hell no rip off, just like the mattress I Owned now in days 10 years warranty but they don't warranty the mattress it need to be 2'" under in order for them to warranty the damn thing. is all sag

I have slats and they are about 2 inch apart but my mattress is too soft and sinking can I still put a box spring for support ?????

Horrible mattress. I paid too much money for what is the worst purchase I've made. Basically disposable. Customer service pressured me that it was a known issue and to replace with the next model up for no added cost. The same exact construction and problems. the edges are no rigid enough to hold anything in place. after a while a well is created between the coils and the "edge." I'm guessing that with the coils loose, somehow the coils stretch and come up through the mattress. You are required to remove the cover and take pictures of the inner mattress. But the warranty does not work in your favor given the known issue. Way too much money to waste. I'm looking for a way to salvage and make my own mattress. I have serious health issues, which is why I purchased the mattress. My healthcare costs are astronomical. In looking for a new mattress all the prices are as high as the Purple with reviews that show flaws. This and the warranties don't justify the price either. The mattress I really did like when testing, a brand name of a color as well, had a 10 year limited warranty that hinged on a dip in the mattress of at least a specific depth.

My bedroom floor caved in because my 40-year-old coil mattress quadrupled in weight. My wife and I now sleep on the floor in another room.

I get the adjustable foundations (as shitty and basic as they seem to be), but if you are choosing any non adjustable foundation that isn't an actual box spring. Why, why not just put your mattress directly on the floor and save yourself the money?
