Will swing into the showroom, live in SD and surprised to see the video that actually speaks about the edge support. Very helpful and spot on regarding the dreaded 1/4 of the bed I occupy while sleeping on the edge while my wife enjoys a pillow fortress with the other 3/4th. Wish I would have found you earlier.

This answers the question of mattresses sagging on the edge, but what mattress type sags in the middle the least over time? It seems like boxsprings would be better than pocket coils because the weight is distributed more evenly. Is that the case?

Just bought a Dreamcloud hybrid for my 17yo son - it's supposed to be medium firm. It's twin and it has no support on the sides or top and bottom. His old bed is literally able to support the Empire State Building compared to that one. What should I do? We have to keep it for 30 days...

I really need a question answered. I know you are both into selling mattresses. But I'm not working now (disablity) and I just bought 2 mattresses. one of them was retruned because the edge sagged. I bought the same exact model from a differrent store ( had issues with last store) after one day there is no sagging but the side looks like the top is bulding on the side and the bottom of the fabric is sticking in where I lay on it. ( but not sagging) it's the Stern and Forster Tight top 14.5 inch. if you can't help me can you find me someone that will.

Side Stitching is also an almost forgotten detail of a mattress technicalities. It helps Much with edge support, materials staying in place and prevents the sagging.

Yes I agree. That is a rare art and skill these days. You really only see it on the ultra luxury mattresses

@@sdmattressmakers but is it recommendable too for Foam and/or Latex fillings? I mean, they’re a solid block of layers.

What about foam mattresses like tempura pedic?

Think like a manufacturer that's trying to save money. Is foam cheaper than metal? Is glued fabric a cheaper way to make a mattress than using metal to join the coils? How thin a wire can you use before people complain?
