I was very interested in your comments about the top layer of this bed. You mentioned that the texture was created by a tack and jump method as opposed to quilting. I couldn’t tell which one you thought was better.
I'd love to see older beds, from 60-70's era & laye 90's. Beds from different eras have different feel, different comfort, movement etc. I'm dying for some help with what to do to achieve an acceptable, super plush sleeping surface. I have RA & other health conditions which make the need for comfort absolutely imperative. In 1998 (iirc it was either 1996 or '98) I bought a Serta Perfect Sleeper with double sided super plush pillow top. It lasted a solid 11 years. Of course the comfort of the pillowtop diminished over time but being double sided it lasted relatively long. I also spent probably more time than the average person in bed due to health conditions. I've NEVER been able to find a comparable mattress since. All of the beds were junk, all very uncomfortable. Ended up buying a Sealy Beauty Rest "Black" in 2011 without pillowtop & thought I could customize it by buying a mattress topper. Been through dozens of toppers & none have come close to the feeling of sleeping on a super soft cloud that the 1998 Perfect Sleeper provided. I hate memory foam, dont like the sinkinv feeling, hard to move, too hot. Then I tried a double layer latex diy topper using quality latex, but I hate the feeling of sleeping on a slab & it just wasn't comfortable. There's something about tufting that makes a real difference in comfort, for me at least! That old Perfect Sleeper had some nice deep tufting which really enhanced the feel. Latest purchase has been an expensive 4 inch thick "luxury item" topper made with wool, horse hair, latex, cashmere. Ended up being a big disappointment. It's like sleeping on a hard futon. So let down & out of money. I really wish I would've saved the Perfect Sleeper & dismantled it to find out what it was constructed from to make it supportive, yet so plush comfortable. @Mattress Makers, can you help me??? ~ A person in pain searching for plush comfort for way too long ~
We bought an Aireloom Mattress in Jan of 2023. Delivered Jan 6, 2023. Just over a month th later I began feeling it have a dip where I lay. I contacted Room to Room. After reading the reciept, and if they were to exchange it, we were goingnto have to pay for the pick up & delivery of the one we bought back to where ever it was to go to. So I said forget it. Now the dip is much worse and we can not sleep at night and my back hurts. I was told to get someone to stand in middle of mattress and walk up and down to PUSH FROM CENTER TO WHERE WE LAY. Which is stupid to have to do and a nearly $5,000. Mattress. I tried it but lasted a night or 2. It is worse and if I lay cross ways, from side to side myou feel the hump in center. No in process to see what the Makers of the mattress is going to do. Had to get photos of how much it went down with me measuring it. And of the legal tag. DO NOT BUY THE AIRELOOM MATTRESS. MOST THEY WILL DO IS GIVE CREDIT PROBABLY FOR ANOTHER MATTRESS. I DONT KNOW IF THEY WILL HAVE ONE LIKE WE HAD BEFORE THAT THEY TOOK OFF. HAD FOR ABOUT 16YRS AMD IT WASNT TILL THE LAST 2 YRS ITWA HACING A DIO. IT WAS A VERY FIRM MEMORY FOAM KING MATTRESS AND THE BEST EVER. I MAY GET SOMETHING FROM STORE IF FINE EXACT SOFA OR RECLINERS WE WANT WE WILL GET MATTRESS WHERE WE GOT BEFORE. THAT PROGRAM AT R TO R TO TELL THE KIND OF MATTRESS YOU NEED, SO WRONG.
WELL, 2 WEEKS AGO THE MANAGER WAS TOLD BY MAKERS OF MATTRESS THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT MATTRESS HAS A DEFECT AND WOULD NOT CREDIT US OR REFUND $$ FOR IT. AND HAVE NOT HEARD FROM MANNAGER SINCE THEN NOR OWNER.
NOW THE STORE IS NOT GOING TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT, THEY WILL NOT BE GIVING ME CREDIT AND TAKE THE MATTRESS BACK. I NEVER HEARD FROM THEBMANAGER ONCE HE WAS TOLD BY COMPANY WHONMADE MATTRESS THEY WOULD NAT ACCEPT THAT THE MATTRESS HAS A DEFECT BY THE POCTURES I SENT. AFTER HE TOLD ME THAT HE NEVER REPLIED SO I PUT IN MESSAGE, I HATE LIARS. 7MIN AFTER SENDING THAT THEBIWNER OF STORE CALLED ME ANDBJUMPED ONBME SHE DID NOT LIKEBME CALLING HER MANAGER A LIAR WHICH I SAID LIARS, PLURAL FOR STORE. I HUNG UP IN HER BECAUSE I WAS NOT GOING TO HEAR MORE. SO WE NEED A BETTER MATTRESS AND TOSS THIS AIRELOOM SO CALLED WONDERFUL MATTRESS.
They probably only did the foam between the coils right in that one spot to cut costs wile still being able to claim that it has that feature. It technically has it, just not the entire bed.
Thanks for you great videos 🙂 I love to watch them But what I saw with al your openings of Mattress I'm so happy to find the best for me ;-) If you interested, its German, Dormito and my Mattress is the Dormiflex That Mattress is made for me special for my Body like a suit All good for you 🙂
I don’t like the construction of this Aireloom. The preferred collection is a lot nicer than this example. Aireloom makes mattresses like this. Then they make their preferred collection which is their “bread and butter “ the preferred collection uses latex, organic cotton, they are hand tufted and a lot nicer than this example. I usually advice against getting this type of aireloom if you’re not going to get the preferred collection.
Yes, I just bought a new preferred Aireloom and this has the same coils, but everything above it is much cheaper. The preferred model has luxury comfort layers with wool and latex and phase shifting foam. And the preferred model is significantly tufted to prevent the layers from shifting.
I get that Aireloom made this mattress, but this isn't really a fair representation of the overall brand. Their bread and butter are their mid to higher end models, which are all real hand tuffed throughout the entire mattress (I think the Queens have 64 through-tufts). But I get it, this is the Aireloom you were given by a customer, so that's what you have to cut open. Now to be fair, for a used mattress, this one seems to have held up wonderfully...
Honestly couldn't justify these prices for the shear lack of information on their composition. They just use generic info and what even is their "pattented air lift"? None of these mattresses when disected, show anything different from anything else.
Does airloom sell that pillow top separate? Without the big mattress?

One is not better than the other. Each one has a different feel so it really comes down to preference!
Dude you guys a very likable! Subscribed!
I love these "anatomy" videos!
Would yall ever do the "pro adapt" series from tempurpedic?
Thanks for watching!
Yes absolutely.
If we come across one we’ll do it!
Are you having a problem with your mattress? How old is it?

I just got a new Aireloom Signature Preferred Luxtop M1 Firm and I LOVE it. Aireloom is definitely one of the best!
The preferred collection is definitely a nicer mattress than the one opened up in this video !
how is it holding up?
@@cliffordlebel2977 solid and comfortable!

Good video, dissapointing mattress materials for the crazy prices.
I’m not seeing anything that remotely justifies the price.
How about tearing apart a Pranasleep hybrid firm?
Are you gonna dissect and review a Kluft mattress then?
If we can come across a Kluft then yes for sure.
I would love to open up a Kluft.
If you have one to donate just let us know!😉
Pablo was cheesing as he announced this mattress, lol. He was really excited.
Bought a Aireloom from Bloomingdale's. Did not even hold up a year! No Bueno

Could you please tell me where the fire retardant is located in this mattress and what form it is in. Thanks so much.
I am not 100% sure but according to their website they use a "polyester /polymeric based barrier fiber that meets the EPA standards for safety."

The model they opened here appears to be from the hotel collection. Macy’s sells it.
