I'm also living in Germany for the last five years, and I fully agree with the challenges you have discussed in this video. Living in Germany is definitely not for the fainthearted. My dear your Story is strange. Did you signed any contract with them ? What is written in that contract in the part " Kündigungsfrist "? Did you get any "Kündigungsbrief”? If it was a proper contract you should have gotten that and they would have ask you to sign it. I advice you to get what they call arbeitsrechtsschutzversicherung. If something like that happen again after 6 months of work just go and see a lawyer to advice you. Another thing next time just speak the truth. I don’t see why you should be the one that have to be move to another branch when a colleague is not doing is job. Who told you the situation would have been better there ?

In germany you must be frank and to the point. You seem not to have a unberistet contract which means either party can terminate the contract. Look for a job in the pflege they are searching for people.

Hello Mercy, 1. in Germany, terminating a work contract MUST be in WRITING, i mean on paper (not whatsapp). Even if the law has change...in Germany, if one receives a terminating letter from an employer, one has 2 weeks to act-whether to accept or decline . I believe 2 weeks has NOT elapsed yet. Run to a LAWBOR court near you, they will reinstate/protect your contract. You do NOT any lawyer for this. I know what im talking about. However, if you say its not much money and you want to move on, i can understand

Sorry about this. They assume that most Africans are ignorant of the law, that's why a company would do such an unethical thing. Also, your workmate took advantage of your timidity. You should have said no to doing her portion of work from day 1. Workmates are not your babies. Consult a lawyer and evaluate what to do regarding this unlawful termination. Hopefully, this experience helps you to handle work-related challenges better in the future.

Sorry, in the US they fire for no reason legally in many states. Hard to be loyal to a company when they treat you so badly. No health care coverage in the US for the first year of employment so they usually show you the door before the year is up;Other times they call your job on call or extra board, meaning you can work there for years and never get medical or vacation time. They either only give you 30 hours or so just so they consider you part time. Other times they give your 50 hours one week and 20 the next.Only union jobs are secure.

You are the second RUclipsr in Germany that has had bad incidencies with employers. You will make it. Just stay focused and positive. Pray to God to lead you to serious and caring employers. Also consider working in other European countries that may be more receptive to Africans like UK in the long run - do your research and if interetest save for this move. The employer has to sign the dismissal letter by hand and send it to the employee being fired. You need to write your company a letter refusing the dismissal and request that if they insist on firing you, you will take them to labor law Court Arbeitsgericht. Trust me they won’t fire you, they are Playing with you because they know you don’t know the law but even in court you will get a translator and they understand English.

You can’t be fired on WhatsApp in Germany that’s not legal so just sue, one can only be fired when they receive a written letter from the employer terminating the contract and the employees address and name should be correctly written on the letter, if one of these things is wrong then it’s not valid that is how difficult it is to get fired. There are lawyers who help immigrants for free go see one to find out how you can go to court against your employer, trust me the court is always on the side of the employees.
