Im gonna step one more step further and say most apps inuse are foss terminal apps i love them id pay for them they are great theres literally no ither apps anywhere that have sane ux and ui on same level on that

"Upscayl" is another really incredible GPU-driven AI upscaler for images. It has a tonne of settings to tweak/play around with, and additional models can be added via plugin. Give it a go!!

For a KDE installation, it's very GNOME. But it's alright, nowdays looks like everything on Linux is GTK/Libadwaita (and I love it).

The one app I love using is sound converter.

Delta Chat - Decentralized Signal like messaging app through emails. F3D for quick preview of 3D files. Localsend and Syncthingy for file transfer. Kando - pie menu. Rustdesk - a free remote desktop app.

One of the first things I did when moving to Linux was look into music players. I probably wasted decades only using Windows Media Player before upgrading to VLC on Windows which isn't the best way to browse your music library since you're still doing that through a file explorer and not an in app library. I ended up settling on Strawberry and now I can't view my Linux experience without it. Being able to easily direct which folder for it to scan for music and then populating a media library in app easily got me buying more digital music to increase my library. One app I discovered after hanging out in the PikaOS discord that I also now love is the XIV Launcher off of flathub for playing Final Fantasy 14 since I'm now giving WoW a rest and playing catch up in FF14. Was using Lutris to run it until they mentioned how much better they liked the stand alone flatpak version so I gave it a go and like it.

Switching to Linux right now is giving me similar feelings to late 90s for me when I'd discover new software for windows, because it was all very new to me. Windows has been really stale for almost 2 decades now though.

A good terminal music player with a library feel for those that want more of a "techy" feel is cmus. It also just works.

isn't there something to control the controller like steam input but for other game launcher like lutris, bottles and heroic launcher i can't play arkham city with my dualsense on heroic launcher because of it

I use something similar to Cartridges on Windows called Playnite so that I only have to maintain one link in Moonlight when I stream games to other machines. I've been considering changing my gaming server to Linux so thanks for the recommendation!
