I've been driving my 2007 E92 330i (N52) for the past 11 years. Now with 160k km on the clock, no issues so far, touch wood. I absolutely love this thing. The performance is solid (5.9s 0-100km/h, not fast but no slouch either). In my daily commute to work on motorway (speed limit 100 km/h), I get a fuel economy of 6.8L/100km (41 mpg), which is crazy for a 272hp 3.0L 6cyl petrol engine. Back in the day they had the “efficient dynamics” feature, not only marketing after all. On B roads at the weekend, it's super fun to drive. I think it's ageing beautifully. I intend to keep it till its last breath or until it’s banned, whichever comes first.

One piece of advice (respectully of course) ....When you"re considerlng buying a 10 years plus old extraordinary sports car and you worry about the road tax, gas mileage etc. Do NOT buy it. Maybe a brand new Corsa is right up your alley.

Very informative couple of videos you put together. I've been considering buying this car next, but a few potential known issues have been putting me off. 1. Apparently, this model has engine chain issues. It prematurely stretches, and it's in such an awkward place that it costs a fortune to replace. 2. EGR problems. It fouls up the DPF. I am wondering whether fitting an oil collector in between would help with this problem. 3. Potential electrical gremlins like you've experienced. I hope you you don't mind me asking, what the cost of your insurance was, your annual mileage and how much the car cost. I'm just trying to get a very rough idea of likely costs. I know there are a lot of other factors that might determine the cost.

I mean no wonder u have to fix air suspension and everything since u bought it for 10k, car was probably in dogshit condition, only point of video is if you buy car for 8-10k £ less ofc you gonna need to put 3-5k £ Logic

80k miles is VERY low... most of those cars are well above 200k. I would throw a set of 20" or even 22" wheels on it and drive it only on special occasions. That will also keep the stock wheels looking like new which is a big selling point when it comes time. I can see you doubling your money in 5 or so years easily. Keep it under 100k miles and when you finally do sell it, it'll be one of the lowest mile examples around

This and a Z4 are the only BMWs I would consider buying. I'll be buying a car around Christmas and my choices are a 640d or a E Class coupr/ convertible which is my choice. My friends a mechanic and he is been a BMW man since rhe 90's...he said that the merc is gonna give less problems
