Nice. Too bad a used 12GB RTX A2000 can cost as much as a new RTX 4070Ti. I bought a used half height RX 6500 for my 9010. Slightly better performance than a RX 6400 and only cost me US$68.

I have an Optiplex 9010 SFF that I've upgraded with the same CPU. I chose the slower "S" version of the 3770 because this computer is on 24/7 so I wanted lower power draw. I also added memory to 16Gb and two SSDs for 3Tb of storage. I may be adding a 6-10Tb HDD in the future for additional storage. Since RTX A2000's around here cost US$300 to $800, depending on the amount of video memory, I decided to go with an RX 6500. At the moment, I use mine as a Plex server, but will probably connect it to my TV and also use it as a light gaming computer as well.

My issue with the newer Optiplex machines is the placement of the PCI-E x16 slot being below to topmost PCI-E slot on the back of the case, this severely limits what GPUs you can throw into it basically meaning you'll be capped at that RX 6400 and cheaper alternatives like a used GTX 1650 straight up can't fit, does anyone actually know why Dell did this? Just seems really dumb and needless to me.

I got my Radeon6400 and that thing is so tiny and does most 1080p gaming just fine. With Gamepas I just cloud game my high demand games.

I always thought modern PC gaming was financially out of reach. Put this GPU in an Optiplex 9020 SFF i5 w/ 16GB RAM. Just finished the new Silent Hill 2 remake on low settings with a very stable frame rate. Was scary as hell, performed at a very playable level and was the perfect graphics-intensive game to stress-test this card with. I've since tried Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, God of War: Raganrok, Forza Horizon 5. Runs everything beautifully. If you're new to PC gaming and aren't a graphics snob, this is an incredible value.

I recently bought for a friend of mine a rtx 3050 6gb motherboard power only. Due to his 11 year old gtx 660 died out. Just asking because i am wondering how small or big bottleneck there is on above 8-10 old pcs? Think he has those 3570k i5 intel series

I am running the same 3050 card . On cyberpunk with nividia recommended setting I got 125 fps.. All settings high with Ray tracing off I got 110fps. With Ray tracing on and all high settings getting 55fps.

I feel a 9020 sff would of been a better option. A 4th gen is a big jump from a 3rd.

Dude you messed up the setup, you should at least acknowledge your mistakes and respond to the people correcting you lol. How come you didn't use 16gb ram dual channel? You only had 8gb on single channel, that completely kills the FPS and defeats the purpose of the entire video lmao. You're not showing the actual capabilities of this GPU and CPU working together.

I have a 7050 I was using as a Plex server. I ended up upgrading to a better server, so I stuck a GTX 1650 in the Optiplex and use it as a backup gaming rig. I have been very surprised at what the i7-6700 and 1650 can do, and for less than $250 total.

so i would have to buy torx screws to change the bracket if i get this? and the mini display ports wont fit a regular hdmi port, so i would have to get an adapter for that as well.

I’m going to get a z2 g4 SFF with an i5 8500 ($105) and going to add in this exact GPU (3050 LP) ($175). What are you’re thoughts? I have a $300 budget. Should I look at MT so I can put a better GPU for around the same price but have to deal with the PSU needing an upgrade all for more than an SFF?
