Here are my secrets stolen from another similar video where a Ford wrench spilled the beans. Get a squirt can of penetrant (WD40, PB Blaster, etc) with a flex neck and do a "reach around" with that two inches of working space they give you and get the penetrant on the spring. It then becomes do-able. I bought a metal squirt can at Harbor Freight and used PB blaster. I think even clean motor oil would work. Here are my tips. Cut off the pipe near the accumulator so you can wiggle it (up and down) easily to help free it up after you spray the penetrant and when you put the white plastic 7/8" disconnect tool in. Right hand pulls on the disconnect tool and left hand moves the hose around. I don't think the only answer is to push the hose in and pull the tool but do that too, lol. Get a grown man who has a little muscle to help you if you are a wimp. Thanks for the vid.
What is all that noise in the background omg!
Why not just put clamp on it and be done?
wow you showed the easy side not why i was here...lmao
I'm trying to do the same job on my car, but I don't know where to place the jack, and the jack stands. The pinch welds on the side are so rusted. Where did you place the jack in the rear?
96 lbs of Torque on the bottom bolts, and 24 in the trunk....why didn't you torque any of them down They're not snugged, and can loosen over time. FO It The Correct way
This is too painful to watch..lol
Then don't
What should i do if the metal that surrounds my mount, is rusted, and has a possible chance of not being able to repair if the strut goes out?
How much would you charge to do this to my truck
What were u taliknig about a a strut compressor, when u didnt use one?
I need your help please
Nice video, next time try using your jack and putting a little pressure under your rotor it will let those bolts slide right out💪🏾💪🏾
Can you do a video on setting a window on track
Bro you gave me the confidence I need to do this
Is this the same for an 03 impala? 🤔
can i get the part number for that same disconnect tool i been at it for a while now and not getting any progress. any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance!
or atleast what size is it
Did you use the police taxi struts
Mine is stuck the tube to the evaporator won't come out. Aby suggestions?
Bro thank you! Finally after searching for 2 hours straight. Using every single variant of wording on this subject/specific model. Then just guessing how it comes apart and being stuck on this damn hose disconnect for an hour straight. I just wish my dad would have listened to me and removed the mega fuse bracket in one piece like you did. Now we have to try and put this together piece by piece
I must have received a defective device from amazon because it does not recognize ANY of the brand new sensors that i've bought for my audi q7. I've also tried it on my 911 and S4 with the same exact results. It recognizes the keyfob and the MHz, but other than that NOTHING!
Where are you I'll pay you to fix mine
That poor brake line. Yikes!!!
Love the white trash fighting in the back ground too. 😂😂😂
Is does have a sway bar too, just not attached to the strut. Worst instructional video ever. 😂😂😂
If it’s stock there no cam bolts and you don’t need to “hold” them. There splined press fit and not “stuck” 😂😂😂😂
How did you know it needed to be replaced
The Schrader valve leaked and wouldn't come out
good video. ford engineering and design under the hood is stupid
All manufacturers are
Let it leak baby! The inside of your cab will likely smell like freon for a long time but no $43 dollar tool needed! The world ain’t gonna blow up and there aren’t climate police or feds yet patrolling like the Stasi. They’re over exaggerating lying fuckbags with refrigerant. And it’s a nice mafioso scam so you pay for a one time expensive tool or $300 to $500 job minimum from a “technician.” Like if you’re in Europe, you gotta convert your systems to the new “climate friendly gas” like in the 90s from R12 to R134a. That ain’t cheap and god damn were there repeat system conversion problems that YOU had to pay for. Don’t ya love tyrants and all the good, caring reasons they can get the majority to go along with? We haven’t become schizophrenic as societies. Just do it yourself, what’s leaked in the air can’t be seen or proven…yet. Hopefully never. Save money while you can before you become the payment for the carbon taxes. It’s comin, our lives will be the price. We’re made of dreaded…carbon. Except the absolutely rich with societal level influence. They don’t gotta pay. They’re exempt of course.
I cant get the clamp off my old one
How much did your air hammer cost? What is the brand?
Ford 7.3?
Thank you. Tidewater VA
Good video.....
Dude, you needed a jack stand to take the weight of the disc brake..
U figure out the problem
Worn key
How did you get a new key cut? My key is also worn out but if i had new keys cut wouldn’t they be wrong also if they were copied from the old worn key?
@KantnerRacing I cut them by the key code. When cut by key code you arnt making a copy of the existing key.
@@kdautomotive1165 who will do this? Mine is a 2008. I asked my dealer to vin cut me a key and they said they couldn’t.
@KantnerRacing they can they just don't want too. Call a locksmith (I'm a automotive locksmith) and they can cut a key buy the code on the igntion cylinder
Thanks this helped me a lot my 2008 malibu p0449 is the same issue this video help me to get a good start 😊 much appreciated

Have your tools ready!!!!
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee summit 5.7 where did you buy the Spark plugs and are they already gapped?
Dealer and yes
Nice video. I need to do this for my granddaughters 2006 Impala. Now I know how to do it.
Do you have the part number on the AC Delco Front Quick strut Assembly? Probably not. and now in 2022, I'm sure they are discontinued.
You are stretching the heck out of that brake line. Be careful.
So does that motor smack valves?
Yes sir. This got a cylinder head
Cool, does real well. Could speak more directly to microphone. Get a hair cut prior to wedding, best wishes!!!
The price of the tool kit is way higher then renting the vacuum pump and gauges from autozone(they let you buy it and return it with no extra charge as a rental deal). All you need to do is evacuate the system the way 99procent of dyi does ;) replace the valve(4- 12$) recharge the system 20-50$. The knowledge is on youtube. This video is probably good for the mechanic shop.
If you have refrigerant in the system already it will need recovered. This kit prevents the need to recover the system. Service ports tend to leak after a connecting gauges as will. So if you just charged the system and removed the gauges and then service ports are leaking you can replace the valve cores without recovering and recharging
Quick question. That sleeve you took off the hose. Do you need it? I lost mine and halfway in TN on my way to MA from TX my hose popped out while driving and all that freon went everywhere. I dnt think mine clicked when installing but i will try again. Your answer will help alot. If i do need it i'll have to search a junk yard as i cant find it for sale anywhere online.
Yes you need the sleeve.
I’m here to save money! Lets goooo
